Interesting. Guess he does color obviously lol

Yeah lol and I've never watched the promotion since it's pretty low level so I can't confirm he's good lol I've only heard of the company bc of Punk tbh, thought it was gonna be what he did for the rest of his public lifespan up until last summer :lol

Yeah he was good on commentary in WWE while hurt like Chris said.

Only seen clips of him doing fight commentary but he doesn’t sound bad. Wouldn’t be a bad change of career. Not like dude is hurting for money

This rumor is like a super bug resistant to antibiotics. It refuses to die.

With AEW and Punk on the outs, it would be super easy at this point for Tony to throw Punk under the bus if it were actually true.

I gotta say Meltzer has been really weird about especially because he went colt on tv = punk wanted him off tv. which is a leap and I've said from early that TK likely phased him out to avoid issues himself and then realized it caused some bad rumors. I think the main issue is that Punk thought it was the Elite feeding the sheets and it turns out it wasn't. Who it was, hard to say, but there was certainly people who felt that way. I think The Elite asking TK to not get rid of Colt got perceived as them also being anti-punk when it was probably more them asking a guy that's liked backstage by the boys not to be let go. Punk took that as taking Colt's side and took that as the Bucks fed the sheets. I think there was a lot of assumptions being made unfortunately prior to Punks actions and Tony does have some blame in there. That being said it's also the 3rd time he has said it so the people who don't believe him wont change their minds now. I still think Punk fucked up large and has been feeding some weird stories since to the sheets himself but I don't think he ever directly asked TK to fire Colt. Probably just didn't hide he didn't like the guy.

As far as Colt being on screen I feel that was lot more of "for the boys" than fuck CM Punk. I laughed at TK being petty but I think any maliciousness to booking Colt in that slot was more a bonus than the intent as crappy as that sounds. He came in to lose too so it was more symbolic than anything, likely he's just back to agenting like he was before.

I still think the most likely scenario is TK pulled Colt bc of Punk but not bc Punk asked him to or anything. Like he just thought he was helping by doing it and ended up causing this whole mess bc of it lol

He’s pretty much already said there are no more plans to use Colt. Which also kinda killed the he’s back since Punk is gone rumors too. People just want to believe it so bad.

The timing of Ace's hire with it is the only real suspicious part, if anything I could believe Ace pushed for Colt to be removed and implied it was cause of Punk (who I do honestly believe did not care, he worked fine in the locker room with colt for 6 months prior in AEW), and Tony was dumb and believed him

I can’t think Cabana coming back was for the boys. Without being in the room and confirming it, I’m 99% sure it came from Jericho and TK went with it as a passive aggressive shot.

yeah he will likely be used when ROH gets TV I imagine , maybe pre-show on the pape. Only was on AEW TV because roh title is on tv atm, he's still lower card roh and that stuff never makes in on regular aew tv.
