I think his character work is miles better, he's one of my favorite promo guys in AEW. Thats the big distinction to me, he's still the same person tho lol just a more realistic and angry and less wacky character

That last like is what I mean. His promos are better, but the character is virtually the same guy.

And let me add to this that I audibly groaned and said "cool I guess" when moxley was the big debut at their first show bc I was burned from him after his shitty feuds and didn't care anymore, and I didn't even watch much of AEWs first year bc hype wasn't there for me, so he's won me back over from the dreaded 2018

This would be funny if he didn’t have a 434 day reign as WWE Champion in his back pocket.

I mean he hasn't managed to make it to a single title defence in AEW. No joke but I have doubts about his body holding up if he comes back from his latest injury

I like a good work rate match too but I also like guys that only do five moves if I like their character because to me wrestling is about storytelling.

I’ve seen matches with Nash and Goldberg some of my favorites cause they big beefy dudes telling a good story

Also Mox as a character is a million miles above his WWE run and it ain't even close. I don't think anyone has that big of a contrast anywhere

I mean those subtle changes matter a lot though. In WWE his lunatic character was booked to be more of a doofus while in AEW he’s an unhinged badass. That can make all the difference.

AEW has a talent meeting.

After Wrestling Observer reported that AEW Champion CM Punk was in Chicago, and not in Buffalo, it was also revealed that he and Ace Steel would have a zoom call with officials at 4 PM EST. That isn't the only meeting however.

We're told that an AEW talent meeting was set to take place at 4:15 PM EST, with talent, referees, coaches and announcers. Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley were set to lead the meeting. Chris Jericho had been complimented by several on the AEW roster about his demeanor and resolve as the Elite/CM Punk situation unfolded.

Wrestling Observer also confirmed Fightful Select's report of a CM Punk injury, and added that he needs surgery, and that the title situation would be resolved.

The Wrestling News' Brian Last reported yesterday that suspensions all around would be coming.

Fightful Select will work to learn more details of the meetings.

Being serious: Did it bury Punk? No. Ratings were the same next week and the crowd were super into the story. My only issue with it is doing it over 2 weeks rather than a month

Yeah wrestling ability is very low on my priority list. The single only person to win me over with wrestling was Bryan and that’s just cos he’s undeniable. I love watching cesaro wrestle but I literally could not give a single fuck about the guy. Which is why I like Mox overall, and get excited for his segments. He takes me out of it a bit with the matches tho lol, which does harm my overall enjoyment of him

I’m sure it does matter because the island is basically just me dizzy and Poyser but I just don’t care for whatever he’s going for with his character whether be the dean Ambrose version or the Jon Moxley version.
