I got the inside scoop so here it is.

WON: Punk reportedly lunged at Tony Khan after backstage brawl with Jack Perry, yelling "I Quit"​

Another version, and this would be a neutral source who was not a wrestler but was there and witnessed it and his version was that right after Perry came to the back, Punk went nose-to-nose with him aggressively and asked him if he had a problem. That person said Perry said he was just looking to get heat as a heel. Punk shoved him hard, Perry got in his face and in that version Punk sucker punched him and went for a choke. People immediately broke it up and Khan was yelling at Punk to let him go.
That person said that once they were separated, Punk lunged in Khan’s direction but a number of people got in his way while Punk was yelling “I Quit.” Monitors were knocked down during all this. Joe was very upset and went to calm Punk down.

I mean that's a fair point at least there was a dog in the last one, and someone got bit.

@Jeff Valley Driver if Punk literally said I quit and I'm TK or other higher ups at AEW I'm going through the contracts and if they don't have to pay out for him quitting that's a done deal. Though his match was after the incident so might not qualify.

Lol just realized how if the part where Jungle Boy only got upset about the glass stuff again was bc when it got out weeks later Punk's side made it seem like it was a way to get out of wrestling when he had a planned vacation anyway

So he shot back on live TV bc he thought someone was leaking lies to dirt sheets.....it all comes full circle doesn't it

Yup and that only happened because punk shot on hangman again and tried to get leak stuff to make him look like a good guy leader. Did it all to himself again.
