Adrenaline Episode 5
Due to techincal difficulties, ACW.com was not able to stream this weeks pulse pounding episode. But the live show went off without a hitch in front of around 148 screaming fans. There was a great deal of hubbub backstage and in the crowd about the possibility of unemployed PWA stars showing up at the show. According to our sources, the superstars of the now defunct PWA are not only displaced, but blackballed from most wrestling organizations thanks to one Eric Bischoff. When asked about the rumors that the displaced talent had been talking with ACW management, Phoenix only replied, “Get that damn microphone out of my face! If you haven't noticed, I've a got a show to run here!â€
Regardless of the rumors, the crowd was stoked for the line up of ACW regulars tonight and did not seem the least bit disappointed.
Opening Bout:
Match Type: Singles
Finn MacPherson vs Zasalamel
MacPherson was electric tonight and a great idea for an opener. He became an instant crowd favorite up against the strange clown, Zasalamel, who didn't pay much attention to them and started the match slumped in the corner. The clown tried through most of the match to keep Finn grounded and lock him into a submission, but MacPherson seemed to always find a way to escape (narrowly kicking out of several pins and reaching the ropes to break the many near tap outs) and took to the top rope whenever possible.
In the end, Finn narrowly escaped an F-U up, reversing it into a back breaker. This gave him opportunity jump to the center top rope and finish it with a perfectly executed Springboard Shooting Star Press followed by the pin!
Winner by pinfall: Finn MacPherson
Aftermath: Things definitely went unfinished between the two as Finn and the strange clown had words after the match.
Chris Flair's scheduled championship celebration was postponed until the next show due to the fact that he didn't want to waste it on just the live crowd and wanted to wait until more of his fans could celebrate with him via internet.
second Bout:
Match Type: TAG
Mercy and Indiana vs Cory Allen and John McHenry
Mercy and Indiana managed to work well together showing themselves to be the only cohesive tag team in the ACW. That cannot be said of McHenry and Allen. These two were at each other's throats the whole time; attempting to show up the other. You can tell the animosity from Breaking Ground is still a little fresh. Cory Allen was attempting to make a tag when McHenry withdrew his hands and just watched and shook his head as Allen was Pinned; ONE...TWO...THREE!
Afternmath: McHenry continued to shake his head and laugh as he walked up the ramp receiving angry glares from Cory Allen.
Semi-Main Event: Getting another shot
Match Type: Triple Threat
Stipulation: Winner is new number one contender!
Drew Alexander vs. Syn vs. Eric Snow
The main event was on fire from the very beginning. All three came on strong gunning for a shot at Chris Flair and that championship belt! This match was all over the place; in the ring, out of the ring, in the crowd, up the ramp and on the stage! These men put their body on the line for a shot at gold and the crowd showed their appreciation!
Winner: after hitting Drew Alexander with FALLING INTO CHAOS, Syn hit Eric Snow with the KILLING JOKE and the pin!
Congratulations to Syn and good luck against Christopher Flair!
