The fed is officially closing. Down the line the idea of an RP thread maybe revisited but it'll be some time from now. We were crippled from the get go and the revolving door of staff didn't help and we never had quite enough time to recoup before someone else left.

We made a great effort.

I think to make ACW more of a success, maybe make it TT like?

We already have a TT Fed.

Basically it's the end of the road for a RP fed here. We only brought in a second fed because there was a interest in having a RP alternative, and the original Fed head screwed it up royally. Eventually I would like to see a well planned out RP fed return, but at this point there's just not enough members on the site willing to RP to support having it around.

That is impossible, RRS. The management has made it clear that they want a clear division between the TT Fed and RP Fed. I feel like that is acceptable. We were making it work at times. Before I had to step down and the others, one by one, have stepped away. IDK. I think maybe there's too many preconceived attitudes and incomprehensible egos at work here to ever get this thing running long term.

I won't walk away. I will be the last man standing if necessary. But I wont beat a dead drum either. It ain't over till the fat lady sings my friend. If we ever get a group of guys that actually wants to build a community and a shared story, we will thrive. That is my vision for an efed. It's not about always being the winner or looking like a god. It's about the story. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But the story should always be progressing. Every time we've got a story moving, one or more voices puts a halt to it out of personal problems or paranoia. When Petey and me came to this efed, everybody was all runnin' around yelling the sky was falling and the PWA was taking over. We've respected the brand and your characters to the max. And we've seen brief periods of success. All of you had great characters. It's just about how they fit into the puzzle that is ACW NOT how ACW bends to fit the character.

IDK...I'm not really ranting cause this won't really change anything. I just want you to know MY vision and how I see things.

Apparently it wasn't clear from Ben's post but ACW is now closed. I've edited the original post to reflect this.

Agree with BDC. It's great being able to RP, and I'll be round as long as this fed is.

We're currently in the traditional e-fed September slump, when people go back to school, college, university, whatever. A couple more active RPers could change a lot, which is worth bearing in mind before any decisions are made. All feds face adversity from time to time. Everything does. I remember joining WS when 5 people logged in daily.

The fed has been struggling for quite awhile for various reasons, which is why now I think it's probably for the best to shut it down for the time being and regroup. In a few months the option is there to look at it again and try to come up with something new, and a potential relaunch of the fed.

I wish I wasn't so busy cause I would love to continue to RP but I just don't have the time. The last core of staff was really the best we had though and I'd like to give a big thank you to Pete, and also BDC and King who really put out a great show when they were active in staff.

Well... my plan originally was to try to ride this thing out to the PPV and then that was it. I was on my way out. Then I got to the point I was like screw it and I was going to just end it today. Honestly... ACW did have its good moments but there was just a lot of crap that went on and I pretty much became sick of the fed and sick of doing RPs here. I was considering just name blasting and putting everything out but I don't feel it is necessary so I won't do any of that.

But yeah pretty much Phoenix and Chelios were about to be on their way out today, drop the belt off at the door and never be heard from again. I just couldn't deal with it anymore. Just hated it. But I was going to do this just for the sake of the fed but it wasn't no longer worth it. And honestly... I doubt I'll ever RP again. Maybe one off here and there but thats it. Just the direction of things... it was going to lead to complete shit and it was going to fold on itself eventually and I just couldn't want to be part of it at all anymore. It was a long time coming and honestly it needed to happen.

How would that have changed anything? You'd book yourself to the top over everyone else.
