I get where yall coming from though but yeah sometimes the criticism does genuinely come off super bitter and whiny. Idk I just think some stuffs not really worth fretting about and from my pov this is a far cry from some actual clusterfucks I've played. I also understand that it can come from a place of genuine wanting to improve games. I do think however ppl fail to realize how much hosts put into their game and how deflating it can be when ppl act upset or that the game is worth less than a regular one. So I can see why smark takes it to heart and I think if more ppl remembered that it would be chillin.

Because it’s pretty irrelevant, I’m saying mafia had an advantage numbers wise, and whether or not all those extra kills were GUARANTEED or not, it doesn’t matter lol, they had access to them. And part of how that effects the game isn’t just with the extra kills/hated town themselves but how people try to figure out the game and find the balance.
And sure you can say “don’t setup spec” but you have to. You all insist on shoehorning 18 players into these games which tends to lead to like 4-5 basically dead slots of people that aren’t posting, posting little or just never around to post meaningful things when stuff isn’t happening. How else are you supposed to try and sort these guys without using setup spec as a helping hand? And I’m not saying never subvert it or try and make it less effective but man, you don’t have to try and subvert it at the expense of actual game balance

They had a bomb and a duelist. The bomb kills him and Junk. Not sure how much of an extra kill that is.

Also, the last three people were like the most active. The dead slots are typically the people who sign up early and wouldn’t matter if it was only 15 players.

And for the record, it was the continued barrage that broke me. We had the earlier discussion and got past it.

Then Ekko brought up a different discussion and somewhat got past it and then Poyser sided with him and brought it back up and just like can it end already?

I get it, don’t do both ascetic and SK cop. And I honestly, I probably won’t ever do hated again. It’s always a bother to people. I’ll try not do vote steal and a traitor again because I agreed with Junk it was too much. Like I said made the game quickly and Junk’s role was one of the later additions so it was hard to remember exactly how it would look when she joined up with the scum team, but I tried to give her many negative roles too like being a lover to balance it.

I still think the myslynch balance was still pretty good because I worked hard to think about that.

I just wanted to get people playing again after the last game stalled out and did my best with my time.

Just for the record, I wasn’t siding with Ekko that his role excused any of his shit play lol. I was just agreeing that his role felt pointless/misleading

And yes this game wasn’t lost by setup. It was lost with town mistakes. Cp not claiming PGO early, lethal visiting him, Wang visiting cp despite the claim, everything Ekko did and me not shooting blaze when I should have. Also throw in a massive slice of scum luck that always seemed to have town distracting themselves despite the fact the scum team was pretty much entirely figured out.

I mean it was luck sure in some cases that I mentioned in the scum chat, but I was causing the distractions, as soon as something popped up I yelled about it and made town rush their responses, that was my play too tbf.

It’s just annoying to me that I try and talk about my opinion (and I’m fairly qualified to give it) and then everyone starts attacking me like I’m being an asshole when I’m not. I’m just honest with everyone. I’ll praise them when I think they’ve done well and tell them otherwise when I think they haven’t. Both play wise and hosting. I’m not whining, you won’t find a single game I’ve played over the last 3/4 years where I haven’t given feedback on the setup after it’s over.

I stand by the fact that if ekko played proper barry gets duelled and both u n ekko get cleared off his flip. Ekko screwed ekko for suuuuuuure n tech he could have simply used it to clear you , too. Fbi/sk taming roles are more often useless than not in nature imo too, it just so happen he did one good thing but barry cucked him.

and yeah I get that, there’s not much we can do about it without excluding people and making rep lists instead which nobody wants to do. I’m just saying it’s easy to say don’t setup spec but it’s pretty impossible not to during the game when there are often a lot of inactive slots.
