What's the word on Daryl Smith? Is he generating any interest on the open market?
I've heard he and Bal were never close on a deal. I would imagine the market for him would be at least what Dansby got, which I believe was 4 for 24 mill.

Verner and Michael Johnson to Tampa? Why? Why are players going to Tampa lol. Why wouldn't Tampa just keep Revis....well... there's 16 million reasons but still

Haven't heard anything about Daryl, but we have the cap room to keep him. Of course if there's anything we've learned from today it's that that's only gonna let you down

Would be cool to see Ware and Peppers in the silver and black. Raiders really shouldn't be going after big-name FA's right now though, they won't pan out

Honestly after letting Veldheer and Houston walk and bringing in a guard for 9 mill there is nothing that can be done to salvage free agency that I can think of.

Cool? Not at all. Both would just be collecting pay checks on terrible teams. Both are past their prime and more name than actual value. We need young players who can grow with this team, not old men who will be finished by the time we are ready to do anything if we hypothetically ever do turn things around which seems like a long shot at this point.

It's the same shit we did with Warren Sapp. Bring in guys who have name recognition. If we can draft Clowney, and sign Ware and Peppers who better to learn from? If the bucs let revis go and he signs with oakland he's a good teacher for Hayden

We would have to trade for Revis. No way he signs here on his own free will.

Rephrase that: The novelty of them playing together is cool. Them getting paychecks to play for this terrible team is a motivation killer and tragic, so yeah lets hope that doesn't happen.

Like the Austin Howard deal. It's fine to pick up Saffold but obviously not for 9 mil. Add another guard and your whole OL should be really, really good (if motivated) after you get Robinson/Matthews. Seems like you could have a plan to build around the line of scrimmage even though the easiest way to do this is to RESIGN FUCKING VELDHEER but what's done is done. What are you going to do at QB?

Freeman is still rumored, but obviously Bridgewater at 5 is idealistic. Probably both, with McGloin as third string, idk really.

I don't really see how its fine to pick up Saffold to play LT even for 6-8 mill, but that's me. He can't stay healthy and was moved from LT because he wasn't playing well there. If Saffold were killing it at LT the Rams wouldn't have paid big money to bring in Jake Long to take his job. Even less fine will be if Saffold plays guard. I guess it doesn't really matter when he won't play more than 6 games next season anyway.
