There is speculation is LeBron James will strongly consider his opt out clause at the end of the 2013-2014 season.

Although James still thoroughly enjoys playing alongside fellow stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, sources say he doesn’t particularly care for the heavy-handed and disciplined style of team president Pat Riley. If Riley remains in his current role, James may exercise his opt-out clause at the end of the 2013-14 season. While it's far-fetched to think the situation will get to this, it is something to store away for future reference.
Pretty much see this as nothing more than talk but the fact that it is even considered that he could opt out is interesting. I do see one of them not being there within these next few years and always figured it'd be Bosh more than any of those other 2.

There is no reason for him to stay very long there. Sure it seemed like a dream type thing and he probably actually thought they could win 7 titles, but Wade is not old for a basketball(or at least reaching that age) but he also isn't durable and he won't be lasting very long with the way he plays. If Wade makes it past 35 I'd be incredibly amazed, I don't even expect him to make it past 33 unless he drastically changes the way he plays.

So PSYCH how do you feel about the fact that the Lakers are apparently expressing interest in Arenas.

Meh, as long as he doesn't fucking start, I don't care. If he can score and find a way to put up 10 a night off the bench, I'll be happy. As far as a me liking him thing, I'd take Iverson first, but it is what it is

I just find it amazing how fast the guy fell off. One minute he is the Wizards franchise player and a top scorer in the league and next thing you know he has to look for work probably being a backup as spark off the bench. L.A can use any kind of scoring off the bench so I see why they would be interested in him even if I don't see it working out.

Sad thing is, he is just 30 and not even a guy that made the high school jump. More respect for Kobe over the favors of the month who all fall off.

I just chalk it up to the small score first guard being the type of player that can fall of the face of the earth the easiest due to a injury or age. Iverson, Marbaury and Arenas pretty much the poster boys for it.

Iverson balled for years and was older when he was basically not wanted and desperate to sign with a team. Marbury got mind fucked by Larry Brown that year and never rebounded. The closest guy I'd compare to Gilbert Is Steve Francis

To be fair, Francis fell off after they took his butt buddy away from him in Mobley

I never thought much of Francis anyways really. Always felt they were making him seem better than he really was but yeah it all started going down for him once Cuttino was out.

Why anyone would take Gilbert over Iverson is beyond me. At least we know that Iverson would still be capable of scoring, which he will forever be able to do, while Gilbert hardly showed anything last year with the Magic.

If you're cut by the Tragic you have to be pretty damn bad.
