Money cannot buy a championship; perfect example: The Dallas Cowboys.

But money can buy a championship....perfect example: 2009 New York Yankees :D

Sure, they did nothing wrong, but......it just feels wrong.....MLB needs a fucking salary cap NOW

Money cannot buy a championship, look at it like this The Mets and Cubs are 2 and 3 in payroll and what did they do? Exactly.

I honestly do not see why everybody always uses that as an excuse as to why the Yankees and other teams remain on top.

Good To See Some Yankee haters do give them credit when credit is due.

You act like he's the only "hater" that gave the Yanks credit....

I gave 'em credit, but I still think MLB needs a salary cap. If MLB did, you'd see teams like Texas, KC, Florida, and Washington making the playoffs, because the playing field would be even.

You can't necessarily put Texas in that category. They are a good team, if I am not mistaken they were in the wild card and the AL west race up until the last few weeks of the season.

Whats funny are all the "front runner" fans on this website that aren't even remotely close to the NY area, lol. The Yankees win and all of a sidden EVERYONE just comes out of the closet to support the Evil Empire of sports.

Great, now we can hear from ESPN about the greatest team in history and about their new stadium

So just because I am not from New York that means I cannot be a true Yankee fan?

^Being a true fan is being a fan of your HOME area team. If you were born and raised in NY, and moved away for whatever reason, then fine. If you just decided to start liking the Yankees because they win, you're nothing but a "front runner". MILLIONS of people did exactly this back in the 1990's for the Chicago Bulls. I grew up in Illinois, moved to Virginia and stopped watching Bulls basketball because EVERYONE and their mom was sporting a #23 or #33 Bulls Jersey. It was ridiculous. Everyone loves a winner, but nobody wants to stick with their hometown team when they're down in the dumps. That's what real fans do.

Face it, the Yankees, Patriots and Red Sox have more front runner fans than any other teams in pro sports.
