We can argue about this until the cows come home and you'll never convince me of that. To the authority, Reigns is a disrespectful jerk that doesn't fit the mold of a champion, so what's "best for business" going by their previous record is to do everything in their power to keep him as far away from the title as possible. Also, they've got issues with Ambrose (unstable, doesn't suit their ideal either) and Lesnar (impossible to control) so why should they want either of them to challenge and potentially beat Triple H? There is literally NO logic to their booking of this match based on anything they've done before and therein lies the main problem with WWE. They just book shit expecting people to forget about previous history and while that may work for people with a short memory, it sure as hell doesn't fly with me.
The match itself is going to be fine and there's a lot of intrigue to it as well, but the way they got there is inane. It also doesn't help that there was no explanation as to why anyone was put in the match in the first place. For fuck's sake, why didn't they just say that the main event of Raw was a qualifier?

I wouldn't say argue, more like a friendly debate. And I wouldn't try to convince you, merely explain why I find it makes sense, to me anyway.
After all, a few of us saw this coming a mile away and I've been seeing it play out since November, at the very least, that the next game plan after taking the title was the bond between Ambrose and Rollins. I think you might be forgetting that one of the biggest obstacles facing the Authority isn't either of them on their own.
Anytime they almost have one of them at a disadvantage, the other saves the day. These two are always going to roll deep and it'll continue to be a huge strain trying fight them both off and keep them down separately and collectively.
And if their previous record is any indication, they'll spend the next two years dealing with both Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, only to fail stopping either of them from getting back to the top. So, they can continue to go around and around with them like they have been for about a year now, screwing him out of the championship with Sheamus, stacking the Royal Rumble against him, stoking the flames of his enemies to keep him from Money in the Bank or he can go back to the well with the one thing he knows has worked. When the Authority needed to shut down the Shield, simply stacking the deck and odds weren't working, so Triple H tore them apart from the inside out by removing Seth Rollins from the equation.
Now he needs to do the same with Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns will be ripe for the picking. That's just the way I see it playing out. I definitely don't think they want Ambrose to win anymore than they do Reigns, it's just a calculated risk.
Unless they succeed in getting him to "sell in."
I would say they were trying to go outside of the box, which is why they hadn't done this before, but they have a few times. Even Vinnie Mac eventually sided with Austin for it was easier than battling with him for eternity. If they hadn't gone this way, what would you expect Triple H to do, run and hide and duck competition? When Triple H lost to the Undertaker at WrestleMania, he dusted himself off and challenged him to a rematch the next year and I think that's the philosophy here; defeat, humiliate and destroy Reigns on the grandest stage of them all.
I couldn't tell you why Brock Lesnar was added except the Authority do have a track record of occasionally letting the Beast loose and let the consequences be damned. Suplex City, bitches.
I don't disagree there. They probably should have made that a qualifier. Maybe, Triple H will get mad because Stephanie impulsively made the match after the tag team match concluded. I am just going to see how this unfolds. I have a feeling it's going to be a good ride.
