    Stone Cold is overrated

HH made wrestling mainstream - he wasn't just a product of his times (and absolutely he was). As for Austin creating another boom - no, i think, again that's what nWo (or simply Hogan) should give a credit for. Hogan's heel turn was just a bigger deal imo

    Stone Cold is overrated

Yes, but he also created boom.

    Stone Cold is overrated

Yes, i think that sayn' that Austin was a good technical wrestler is a fair statement. But, in my OP i was sayn' about him more as a draw, i'm not questioning his pre-neck injury in-ring abilities.

    Stone Cold is overrated

I'm not denying the fact that he was popular (extremely popular to be fair), but that's in my mind comes from strong booking and the late 90s culture. So: right man in right time. I have a feeling that most of fans who consider Austin GOAT have this... i don't know... romanticised view upon...

    Stone Cold is overrated

Well, thanks for your answer, i have to say that i agree with your points. What i'm basically saying is that he was kind of "one trick pony"; epitomization, like you said of the late 90s.

    Stone Cold is overrated

I know it's morning in USA right now, so I'll be later. And guys don't delete or block this thread; i'm sure that'll be an interesting discussion, because it's an extremely unpopular opinion. I want to discuss with others and not to exchange unpleasantries lol

    Stone Cold is overrated

Well, i'm not anybody's alt so... no she is not speaking the truth. Insulting ("garbage") is a sign of insecurity. I'm not some sensitive Rock mark lol
  8. Requiredderiuqer

    Stone Cold is overrated

I was talking about Vince McMahon as a character, not a promoter.

    Stone Cold is overrated

You texted 7 posts and none of them refer to what i said in OP. That's also, next to insulting sb, a sign of insecurity, which says a lot, but I'll try to be argumentative here. You said that Austin is GOAT for you: then what makes him to be a bigger legend than Hulk Hogan?
  10. Requiredderiuqer

    Stone Cold is overrated

    That's just a sign of a insecurity.

    Stone Cold is overrated

He obviously was extremely popular among the fans, but his drawing ability is overrated - he get too much credit for successful PPVs such as WM 14 (Tyson!) or WM 17 (purchase of wCw). That's two different things (obviously connected): being popular and being a draw. Look up to the Icon v. Icon...

    Stone Cold is overrated

That's an extremely unpopular opinion, but I'm open to discuss my point: Imo he wasn't a main-event talent. He was booked like that, but it doesn't prove anything honestly. There was a need to fill the gap and WWE "imposted" him as a hero on the fans with ridiculous booking. So... i have a...
