Hey yall

I just started restructuring my WWE btb, when I realized I had actually planned out a different idea much better, so I will be updating the btb shortly.

Afternoon everyone.
I have had a bit of a dearth in creativity and ambition to continue over the past few weeks. I have decided to carry on but lessen how I was going to portray / breakdown events. I will now re-evaluate how much info I want to 'book' as for me this is more about explaining all aspects of the company and the logistics that go around it.

Had an idea on what if WWE declared bankruptcy in 2025 and all their assets were sold off... Tell me if it would seem totally unrealistic but:

- Endeavor buys RAW for Netflix
- NBC buys SmackDown! For USA Network
- Nexstar buys NXT for CW
- Fox buys Evolve for Tubi
- Paramount buys WCW for MTV
- EW Scripps Company buys ECW for ion
- A+E Global Media buys AWA for A&E

Imo it isn't unrealistic enough! With these what-if scenarios, I think wilder outcomes are way more interesting than trying to keep things "realistic".

While I'm asking questions too, I should ask. How do people feel about job/squash matches in modern BTBs? Like booking post-2010, are squash matches still viable for writing getting people over?

Yes I think so, it just depends on who you are using and how present it. An example of where I think it worked well was Ryback's series of 1 vs 2 handicap matches against local jobbers. He dominated opponents, would lift both up on his shoulders at the same time, and it was hard not to start chanting 'Feed me more' along with him. It was entertaining and it didn't take long to be invested in him and believe him to be a threat to likes of John Cena

If on the other hand he did that with a little cowboy hat on, shouting something like 'Yip Yip Yip What it do', having a name like Skip Sheffield, and squashing a single opponent at a time. Then I think the majority wouldn't find that entertaining and thought of him as a big deal.

I guess less having local jobbers but more dedicated jobbers like a Mike Sharpe or Barry Horowitz on the roster being paid to lose weekly.

I think the problem that always happens nowadays is the jobbers get "meme over" very quickly, given a push based on that that's either half-assed or the talent themselves just isn't at the level. Then their career does worse than if they were a career jobber

Hi All,
I have made the unfortunate decision to take a step back from carrying on with the New World Pro-Wrestling BTB. To be honest, the goal from the start wasnt to do a full BTB but to imagine how the process of building a company from the initial beginings to when the first events were due to start and imagine how that process would take place. I am more into planning the logisics of events and where they would take place which I have done.
Shane McMahon and Harold Meji would take over the booking and day to day talent work going forward.
If anyone has enjoyed the story and wants to continue or take it in another direction go ahead.
It's been a pleasure.
