Let's look at the permutations

Blaine town, Cake town = seemingly the simplest explanation but 100% not confirmed and certain people should not be acting like it is. On in-thread play I have serious doubts
Blaine town, Cake scum = impossible
Blaine scum, Cake town = an attempt by scum Blaine to claim a legit result and gain town points
Biaine scum, Cake scum = teammates hunkering down and congealing as split begins to favour them

This is what I've been saying, for the most part. Disagree on the Blaine T/Cake S being impossible because where there's a janitor, there might be a bus driver/redirector. It's just the least likely of the four scenarios.
