Seeing as multiple people agree with me could we poll this? Again, there's no such thing as all the good moves. There's 3-4 very good top rope moves in 2k16, plus new ones for 2k17, and then there's at least 20 (and probably closer to 50) standing ones. To say "all the good moves" just doesn't exist. Just read through the moveset creator, seriously. Welsh's list is a great example about how there are a million options. Why should it be allowed for people to have the same finisher as someone else without asking them (if they ask it would be fine under this system I'm proposing)? It wouldn't happen in a real promotion, and it takes all the value out of having a unique finisher.

Again, thoughts on making everyone upload to CC before they start in the league and having their moveset checked? Thoughts on people not being allowed others' finishing moves as normal strikes/grapples?

I think that uploading caw's to CC is a good idea, it's a good way to check moves and attributes/skills/abilities and if anything is out of place it can be sorted out then and not in the middle of the league.

I'm 50/50 on this main idea, I like it so that everyone has a unique finisher and there are quite a lot of options to choose from even now, so 2K17 will have a lot more. On the other hand, we really didn't have issues with moves this year, and I don't like the idea of a move just being swiped away from you just like that, I had to use the STF in TWF.... yeah.

As I said, I'm 50/50 on this idea and both sides bring up good points.

I can't be making polls for every concern. I'm always going to have people disagreeing with some of my decisions and I think this will be one of them. Was this really a big issue this year? What if say Buster Gates signs up and someone is using his neck breaker? Buster is perfect for that move but someone got there before him.....Why should I say no to Yellow for wanting to use that move? Why should I say no to you when someone is using the superkick or a different move you want? Having a first come gets that finisher system imo isn't the best option and really would make it harder for new people. I was waiting days to sign up to the PS4 league since all the finishers I wanted to use were already unlisted since someone else called for it. Is it really the biggest deal if one more person is using the same move? It's the character that makes the move. I think Rogue when I see superkick or I think Vega when I see the pedigree.
This wasn't a big issue this year, true. But I don't get what the objection is to asking league members whether they'd like to see a system based on having to ask before you use someone's finisher, or banning people's finishers as normal moves. And the thing about people using people's finishes as standard moves is that it undermines that character-finisher thing. It's very frustrating when it happens to you. I'm not suggesting the same ols system but you should have to ask.

I can't be making polls for every problem. I made 5 polls to make sure the league had a good say on everything but I'm the GM for a reason I need to make decisions based on what I think is the best direction for the league. I still 100% think doing this would cause more problems than anything else for new members. The first month would be great but then some person would sign up when they see the league being advertised on Reddit or something and then be completely blown away with the amount of finishers that are already taken. This idea really isn't user friendly for the league and considering we didn't have any reports of anyone being beyond pissed that they saw someone using their sig/fin as a normal move or whatever. The poll would most likely go in your favor since it's members that are already signed up and know the league well. I as the GM need to think beyond that and think about those new members who want to join the site and league but end up being inactive since they can't find a move they like. Also many people like to change their finishers around and this would also mess with that. I did think long and hard about this but I'm going to say no due to the fact that new members would find it a lot harder to sign up like I did when I signed up to the PS4 league for the last month.

I mean... People can just ask? Anyway, there is thought out reasoning behind this and why you aren't polling so im fine with it but do you think you'll implement the thing about not letting people have others' finishers as *normal* moves (which DOES annoy people a lot), and the CAW checking idea?

The CAW checking will be used since I will be needing face images of all CAWs for match cards. I'll think about not having finishers as normal moves

I say implement the CAW checking idea and the 'no finisher' as normal move ideas. They don't really work for me because you can't have the Spear as a normal move (unless running but mines corner hahahaha) and I honestly doubt anyone would use the Styles Clash as a normal move. It helps other people out and avoids arguments. :)

The "Finisher" thing is kinda a grey area since some moves are classed as those but are normal in many irl move sets.

True, but it's keeping it in line with what people in the promotion have as finishers. Noone in wwe uses a superkick as a normal move because Dolph and the usos have it as a big move, but in independent promotions it's used differently. Point is, noone should ever be hit with their own finisher as a normal grapple imho, it's just wrong.

Doesn't Kevin Owens use a superkick? Not sure if it would be a normal grapple or something like a sig like that spinny package power bomb thing.

Don't think I've seen balor use a superkick. Seth Rollins kind of with the Avada Kedavra but that's more of a sig. Pretty sure Paige uses a superkick aswell. Meh.

I kinda think a animation lock would kinda work.

This could work, another idea is a thing about variants, so sticking with the superkick example, if i made the superkick my finisher noone could use a standing superkick (of any animation), but they could have a kneeling one unless someone else took that.

that's kind of breaking the point again of what I said in my other post
