Randy Orton appears to have suffered an at Sunday's Tribute to the Troops taping in Norfolk, Virginia.

The injury took place while Orton was working Dolph Ziggler as it appeared to be Orton’s right hand or wrist. The referee gave the X signal and a trainer came to ringside to check him out during the match.

This isn't Orton's year at all, suffering setbacks here... Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Randy could take another leave and I wouldn't even notice. The guy has talent but he is beyond stale, and having him come back to beat Ziggler's ass like WWE probably has in mind won't help.

Where is this story from? I don't see any reference to a source in the OP and I can't seem to find it online.

If true it caps off a pretty terrible year for Orton

Look, I like Orton and all, but the guy almost never loses clean on TV, which I've grown tired of seeing. "hey, another Orton match on Smackdown.. I betcha he wins!!!" He was in line for another heel push, which wasn't going to do anything for him either.

Orton's a guy who needs a few years away from the business for him to come back and really do something great.

I miss the days where I actually took Orton seriously. But it's been said already, he's stale. A heel turn would be very ideal for him. No more of this tweener crap. Go full on heel.

Seems like the guy can't win with some of you.

I don't know if you've paid attention the last couple of years but Orton's been on jobber to the stars duty. If it wasn't for him, guys like Christian would be in a dead end tag team exclusive to Superstars.

Guy is a star maker, pure and simple, studs like him who are great in the ring, mega popular and willing to put guys over don't come around often.

I find it amusing how much shit Orton gets on the internet, but he's contently putting on good matches. But i guess all you need these days is a heel turn 8D

Don't get people saying he always wins on Smackdown, either. He's put over ADR a few times (with very quick taps and great selling on the sub), not to mention Ziggler, Show etc.

A couple years away? The guy just hit his prime in-ring wise. That sounds like the stupidest idea WWE could come up with and totally a non-wrestling thought. He just needs a legit feud because he's had some little squabbles with Ziggler and ADR but they weren't full blown anything. He is too big of a star to have feuds like that do nothing. Of course the matches were pretty damn good but people don't like quality wrestling matches anymore so maybe I should just agree that he needs to come back in a few years rusty and slower.

He's already won all the titles he needs to. Which isn't his fault, that's the stupidity of Gewirtz, Dunn and the rest of the unappreciative booking and writing crew that constantly gave him transitional title reigns.

He could benefit from a 2 year break, then come back and be a main eventer again.

Why does none of his have to do with match quality? If someone is at the level Orton is right now he should be competing, not staying at home watching guys that aren't even half his skill set getting ahead of themselves.

And also who the fuck takes how many title reigns someone has seriously nowadays? At least WWE has been trying to rectify that lately with much longer reigns.

The guy has been a total afterthought for almost the whole year and been away from the title picture for literally the whole time that he doesn't need to take time off before returning to the title picture.

I don't think anyone will disagree that he's doing nothing at the minute but that's not his fault, that's the bookers fault for putting him in the same matches over and over again with Wade and ADR.

The sooner they reinvest time into him and put him in the picture for the world title, the better.

Yeah?

Can you give me an opinion on match quality how it would help WWE to take one of their most consistent workers over the last two years off their roster?
