The OP refers to "base town" and "base mafia" alignments as "TASK FORCE" and "KIRA". Likely dealing with multiple town alignments and an evolving scum alignment, also likely the Death Note mechanic has something to do with this.

It was brutal to the main town team. They all got eliminated and didn't win with me (I was indy) and the secondary townies.

The base town alignment is Task Force Aligned

I didn't even realize the color was different in the op from my own.

So we're definitely dealing with some kind of secondary camps.

Considering mine and Nom's are a grey blue and this is a light blue, I'm guessing that purple on TKOK's is a scum color.

There was a yellow and a blue town. Yellow got to win with blue, but they add some kind of choice to make as well that effected if blue got to win.

It's been a minute since I've seen it, but this looks vaguely familiar to that.
