What was that one song, that one song that changed your outlook on music itself. The song that still to this day, this very moment is your favorite song of all time? What was that one song?

Well, that's debatable, considering I dove into music so fast during my early teen years, but I would have to say it was either "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace, "Numb" by Linkin Park, or "Same Direction" by Hoobastank. And I don't know. The first two have more to do with peer-to-peer relationships than anything. That's the main focus of those years, so I guess that's why I connected to them. As for "Same Direction," it was due to the fact that I saw a Kingdom Hearts AMV chronicling Riku & Sora's relationship throughout the series.

None of these are my favorite songs though. I don't really have a favorite, but one of the best tracks I ever listened to is "Can you feel that, Captain Compost?!" by My Heart to Joy. The song captures raw emotion at its best and paints a picture of the place I've lived the past 8 years, both metaphorically and literally.

Smells Like Teen Spirit. No contest. There wouldn't be a Petey, as a music fan, without it.

I cannot even narrow this down to a few songs like Andy did, definitely not one song. I'm never good with picking just one favorite of anything, but picking a favorite song may be the hardest of them all.

"Meant to Live" by Switchfoot. And "Never Again" by Nickleback. Those too songs got me into Rock, then I shortly found Linkin Park after that and it was all over.

I don't remember the exact song, but it was something by an Aussie hip hop act called Bliss n Eso. Discovering them lead me to branching out enough to listen primarily to local music for a couple of years. Totally revitalized my love for music and hip hop.
