Every year WWE releases many, many wrestlers. Some of them are no name jobbers but some are stars that used to be popular but for one reason or another they faded away near the end of their WWE run. Others have even wanted to be released from WWE after being disastisfied with their push. Ever wrestler has some fans and people are never happy to see people with potential fired and are vocal about it when WWE make the decision to let them go.

It got me thinking, what wrestler would you like to see back in WWE to have another run?

Now first of all I don't mean guys like Stone Cold or Shawn Michaels. They are both legends and almost everyone would want to see them come back. I am looking more for guys that were around the midcard/upper midcard that you thought had the talent to make it as a star in WWE but it didn't work out at the time. What wrestler would you like to see given another chance?

Chris Masters. Never used properly in his second run with the company, very good in the ring for a guy of his size.

Lesnar is a massive name that would be good to see back in WWE but he kind of fits into the HBK/Austin category.

For me one guy that I really want to see return is Monty Brown/Marcus Cor Von. He was one of my favourites in TNA and I was so happy when WWE signed him and put him on ECW as part of the New Breed. He has a great look, is an awesome talker and has one of the best finishers in wrestling. He was doing well in ECW until family matters caused him to leave. I have hoped for some time that he would have everything sorted so that he could make his return to finish what he started. In TNA he was never given the chance to be the World champion when he should have and in WWE I really think that he could have at least been a very solid US/IC champion.

I never understood what WWE were doing with him the second time around. He had improved his inring skills a lot since his first run yet they still didn't really want to push him. They kept hinting at it but it never materialised, I thought that someone of his size with his build would be Vince's wet dream yet they did nothing with him. He is 29 so he has plenty of time left and so maybe WWE will give him another chance in the future.

The guy had all the tools to be a star and the WWE definitely teased it with feuds with Kane, Undertaker and seemingly one with Orton on the horizon. I think they made a huge mistake turning him face. His character screamed show off. Glad to see he's doing well in New Japan. WWE definitely missed this one

Good pick. I agree with you that this guy seemed ready to be a maineventer. His character was awesome and he was better suited to being a heel. That said he wasn't too bad as a face but he was booked so bad after he turned. I like that he went to Japan to work on his wrestling ability, it is always good to get more international experience. He is one that I am sure WWE will bring back in the future that is if TNA don't try to sign him first. If WWE do bring him back then he needs to switch back to the gimmick that he had when he first joined WWE as the most valuable free agent and as a heel.

^^ Yes, MVP all day long.

BROUGHT it on the mic, his VIP lounge gimmick was awesome, he went eye to eye with some of the biggest names in the business but turning into a bit of a one-trick moveset pony (and then managing to botch those moves) took some of the sheen off his work. He goes to New Japan though and builds up a massive fanbase, wins gold and generally seems to be having a good time. What's the betting a second, more relaxed and knowledgable, run with WWE would prove to bring more success his way? MVP had the best story too. Was way better as a heel but even his face work off his big losing streak could have worked, he had the best story of redemption going.

Oh and Ken Anderson. One of the more unfortunate superstars of recent times. Sloppiness caused injuries and injuries cost him his job. When he's on form though, mic wise AND in the ring, the guy is pure gold. I'd give plenty to re-wind to the days of Kennedy and MVP repping the mid-card. Could have been proper stars.

His story is a sad one. Won MITB and then had to drop it because he was injured and then they found out that the injury wasn't that bad and so he could have kept the briefcase. Never got back from there and then the mistake he made in the Orton match sealed his exit. Another that had a great gimmick and that flew up the card and could have been part of the new era but unfortunate circumstances killed it. Shame that even in TNA he can't stay in the mainevent.

the time old question of who i would like to see back, there are many i would personally like to see back as well as people who i think should never be allowed to come back, I personally think Big Daddy V should come back as viscera! also i would love to see billy gunn do one last run for the company, but my personall fave would have to be kevin fertig to come back as mordecai! what a guy!

Now that would be another one of my choices although I wouldn't mind if he came back as Mordecai or Kevin Thorn. I thought that his Mordecai gimmick never got the run that it deserved, I blame Hardcore Holly, but it may be too late to bring it back since there is no chance of the Mordecai/Taker feud that they were clearly planning on when he first debuted. His Kevin Thorn vampire gimmick was quality as well, it was something completely different but also believable as well. Overall I think that WWE simply screwed up the whole of New Breed, all those guys were so talented but WWE never pushed them enough.

Would only prefer john morrison back if he became a heel, the guy was possibly the most boring face you could have, also elijah burke is fantastic! and kennedy kills people! :p

Whenever I read the opening post, Kennedy and MVP were the first that came to mind. Two names that could be the top heels in WWE right now if things went right. I agree with everything that has been said about them so far.

I also feel like WWE dropped the ball with Carlito. He had excellent mic skills and solid ring skills. The guy could have been great if they didn't stick him in the tag division.

I'd like to see either Deuce and Domino back as a tag team. They could really help out the division all the way around. If they couldn't get both these men back, I could settle with one going single with Cherry as a valet.

If he was in good shape, I'd like to see Billy Kidman back. I feel he could have went much further than the Cruiserweight Division.

It would also be nice if Umaga could come back with Armando Estrada as his manager. Unfortunately, we will never see that. RIP
