WWE Raw 09/30/2002

Hey guess what? I couldn't watch this Raw too, who ever put these together is an ASSHOLE! The vid is rediculioously choppy and has these flashy black shit during it, two the audio is even worse as it has this fuzzy sound throughout and the audio sync is like 5 seconds off. and lastly the tape starts in progress so i miss the opening segment and 3/4 of the 3 minute warning vs. BookerDust match.

But I looked at the results online.

Bischoff calls Lita a 'little bitch'!
Randy Orton beat both Storm and Christian in back-to-back matches, Un-Americans also showed signs of a breakup
Triple H w/Ric Flair vs Bubba Dudley for the world title happens
Kane wins the IC title from Y2J, which means he's a double champ

In 2002? How the hell did that happen he was a bland rookie then, they were part of a big storyline.

WWE Smackdown 10/03/2002
Lafayette, Louisiana

WWE Champion: Brock Lesnar
WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Jamie Noble

The show starts off with a pre-recorded message from Stephanie McMahon. She says tonight Edge will face Kurt Angle, Undertaker has been challenged by Matt Hardy, and a tournament for Smackdown tag titles will begin to night and finish at No Mercy. YES!

WWE Tag Team Titles Tournament (Quarterfinals): Mark Henry and Rikishi vs. Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero
Rikishi spending the majority of the match on the apron and on the outside, I like it. The open minute with team FAT! Killing the Guerrero with power moves was fun. But the Guerrero would gain an advantage later in the match by working on Mark's knees with that vicious Guerrero heat. Rikishi didn't even get a hot-tag AWESOME! The match ends when Rikishi runs into the ring but the ref kicks him out, and Chavo brings in a chair and hits Henry in the leg. Eddie locks in an inverted anklelock causing Henry to tap out. **1/2

Backstage, Torrie Wilson introduces her father to Billy & Chuck. Dawn Marie enters and introduces herself to Torrie's dad. Dawn says that she is going up against 'his little angel' in a Bikini Contest tonight. YES!

Heyman & Lesnar are watching tape from last week; Heyman says that Lesnar has to give Undertaker a rematch at No Mercy with a special stipulation. Heyman says that Stephanie has added a stipulation and she won't tell him what it is! Mat Hardy walks in and says it certainly won't be another Falls Count Anywhere Match he says that what Lesnar did to Taker last week won't be anything compared to what he is going to do to him tonight.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: The Undertaker vs. Matt Hardy
Taker pretty much toys with him and they brawl to the back Hardy grabs a drink and sprays him in the face with it. They head backstage, and Matt jumps out behind something and attacks Taker. Taker delivers some uppercuts to Matt. Matt runs away screaming that they will meet again. Matt tries to escape by climbing a fence. Taker goes towards him but Lesnar ambushes him. Taker throws Lesnar down. Matt comes down and attacks Taker but he throws Matt into the fence. Lesnar gives Taker the F-5 on tags of sand and Matt pins for the win. Heyman, Hardy and Lesnar are leaving until Lesnar turns around and hits Taker in the hand with a propane tank. FUCK YEAH!

Back from a commercial, and trainer’s ice down Taker's hand, but he refuses to get help. Taker walks away in pain. Lloyd asks the trainer for his opinion. He says that he thinks Taker's hand could be broken and he is going to the hospital for some x-rays.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Jamie Noble (w/Nidia) vs. Crash
Noble is great at being little Benoit, Crash is nothing in the ring without Hardcore weapons. Knoble worked the back for the majority and Crash sold it really well thought out, the match would end when Knoble counter the "Crash Landing" into rolls up and grabs the ropes for the win. **

Mark Lloyd interviews Kurt Angle,

Mark asks Kurt if he has any regrets about making fun of Rey Mysterio. Kurt says that he is the best wrestler in the world, and that means he never has to say Sorry, and that it was Chris Benoit who lost the match last week, Angle says that's because Benoit is a regular person, and he is a work of art, and is the closest to perfection there is. Edge enters and tells Kurt that he doesn't suck, but he's not perfect. Angle says his medals say he is perfect. Edge says Angle head says he is not. Angle says he was been waiting for this moment for a while. Kurt goes to walk off first, but turns and sucker punches Edge before leaving.

Kurt Angle vs. Edge
This was really fun, until the point when Edge just forgot about all the brutal rib work Kurt did. Edge working the arm for several, but once Kurt takes over, he forgets it entirely. He works on the back and ribs, and it's their usual chemistry with both men bumping like crazy for each other. The match ends when Edge attempts a spear but Angle tosses him into the ref. Edge and Angle get up. Angle goes for the Angle slam but Edge counters with the Edge-a-cution. Edge covers but the ref is down. Angle hits Edge with a low blow. Angle delivers an Angle slam to Edge. A new ref comes out as Angle pins but Edge kicks out. Angle puts Edge in the ankle lock. Edge gets out. Edge crawls up to the top rope; Angle gets up and is pushed off. Angle gets back up and delivers a superplex to Edge and covers for the pin. The other ref gets up and calls Edge the winner. A fight breaks out between the refs. More refs come out to sort out the matter. As we comeback from a commercial, they decide to restart the match. Angle slaps Edge in the face. Edge is tied up in the ropes Angle hits a spear. And then he does it again. He attempts again but Edge moves and Angle lands outside the ring. Angle gets on the apron and Edge spears him. Edge gets to the top rope and jumps down on Angle. Edge gets on the top rope and delivers a missile drop kick. Edge drops Angle down and covers for 2. Angle delivers German suplex to Edge. Angle gives Edge another German, and another, and another. Chris Benoit comes out to watch. Angle delivers another suplex. Angle is rolled up by Edge and kicks out. Benoit harasses Angle. Edge boots Angle in the face. Angle puts Edge in the ankle lock. Edge reverses and tosses Angle out of the ring. Angle gets a chair. Benoit pulls the chair and it hits Angle in the head. Edge hits the spear and covers for the win. ***1/4

Kurt is looking for Chris Benoit backstage. He finds him in a locker room. Several people break up the fight. Stephanie comes in and yells at them and says they will be a tag team in the tournament next week. She says if they don't get along she will suspend them.

Lesnar is talking to Heyman, and Heyman tells Lesnar that he is "the man!" He then reminds Brock that he defeated Hulk Hogan & the Rock. Matt Hardy comes in and says his Mattitude broke Taker's hand, and if Taker can't fight at No Mercy, he should be the #1 Contender and face Brock for the title. Paul nods, and says he should go tell Stephanie. Matt leaves, and Heyman looks at Brock and sarcastically says "Be careful, he'd kill you!", and they both crack up laughing.

WWE Tag Team Titles Tournament (Quarterfinals): Billy & Chuck vs. Reverend D-Von & Faarooq
FUCK THIS MATCH!

Backstage, Dawn Marie asks Torrie's father for an opinion on her outfit for the bikini match. He says that it looks great and tells Dawn "Call me Al".

Tazz moderates the bikini contest. He introduces Torrie Wilson first, then Dawn Marie. Tazz says that the audience are the judges. Dawn Marie goes first; she gets a BOOO'Eed from the crowd. Torrie goes next. Her crowd reaction is much better and she is pronounced the winner. So Dawn beats her up and throws Torrie out of the ring.

Stephanie stops Brock and Paul from leaving. Steph informs Lesnar & Heyman that the Undertaker's hand is broken but insists on competing at No Mercy. But she's come up with a stipulation. Brock asks if it's a thumb wrestling match, and Paul says it's a one arm tied behind his back match. Stephanie waits and says it's going to be HELL IN A CELL~!

Chris Benoit vs. Rey Mysterio
THIS FUCKIN' RULES, Rey just allows Benoit to beat the shit out of him, with everything he's got. But knowing Rey he would speed it up with quickness and high-flying to piss off Benoit. They do this EPIC! Spot where Benoit whips Rey into the turnbuckle then delivers a nasty press slam into a suplex. He then begins to destroy Reys back with Suplexes to weaken him up for submissions, Benoit uses an axe choke, IDK the actually know the name but it's when you crosses the opponents hand across the neck and have your knees in his back. Rey's mini-comebacks were great too, but Benoit would keep cutting him off with even more violentness. Rey does actually get the full comeback in and Benoit bumps around for it like a champ. The match ends when Rey goes for a Mysterio attempts the 619. Benoit catches him and delivers a shoulder breaker. Benoit gets on the top rope and delivers a head butt. Benoit covers but Mysterio kicks out. Mysterio hits a leg drop on Benoit. Mysterio hits the 619. Angle comes out and hit Benoit. Mysterio covers Benoit for the win. Post-Match: Angle & Benoit brawl and Angle gives Benoit the ankle lock. Benoit locks in the cross face and Angle taps out. Refs come out to break up the fight. ***3/4

WWE Raw 10/07/2002
Las Vegas, Nevada

World Heavyweight Champion: Triple H
WWE Intercontinental Champion: Kane
World Tag Team Champions: Kane & The Hurricane
WWE Women's Champion: Trish Stratus

RAW ROULETTE~!

Eric Bischoff is backstage and he welcomes us to Raw Roulette. Every match will be determined by the Raw Roulette wheel. Will we see an HLA Match? Bischoff's Choice? Kiss My Ass? Vegas offer lust, greed, unpredictability, and that's what this wheel provides. And with a flick of the wrist, we will find what tonight's first match will be. Bischoff spins the wheel, which lands on... Steel Cage Match!

Steel Cage Match: Booker T vs. The Big Show
Fun while it lasted, Show pretty much slowed the match down and just threw Booker around like a toy. Booker's bumping was damn good here but he didn't tell any effects of going into the steel cage. Late in the match, Big Show has an opportunity to leave the cage but decides to punish Booker more. Which allows Booker to comeback a few minutes later; he would hit a scissors kick off the top rope! AWESOME! Booker again goes up the turnbuckles and gets to the top of the cage, but Show grabs him and pulls him back to the ropes. Booker kicks Show in the testicles, causing Show to drop from the turnbuckle and allowing Booker T to climb over the cage and drop to the floor for the win. Post-Match: Chris Jericho runs down and attacks Booker; he knees him in the face. Jericho exposes the security barrier, and then beats Booker down. Jericho smashes Booker's head into the barrier, busting him open, and then smashes him into the cage. **1/2 - **3/4

Backstage, Bischoff tells Kane & Hurricane that he hopes they don't end up like Booker T; Kane is Tag Champ and IC Champ. And Eric calls him greedy for wanting more gold. Kane tells Bischoff that he will take the World title from Triple H at No Mercy. Eric then says they're going to defend the Tag Titles tonight, but in what kind of match? Bischoff spins the wheel, which lands on... TLC Match~! Bischoff says he'll pick their opponents.

Terri asks Jericho why he attacked Booker T for no reason. Jericho says he did have a reason: he's sick of being overlooked by the jackasses here. Goldust says that Fozzy sucks, and then Booker T calls him a sucka, which causes him to lose the IC Title to Kane. This is what happens when people don't respect him. He was the first Undisputed Champion, and he's also a very unbalanced and dangerous individual. But he is not a sucka.

Bischoff spins the wheel, and it lands on... A Blindfold! Eric is standing with H and Flair. Triple H begins to complain about it, but then says that no matter what Bischoff tries to keep him away from Kane, he'll change Kane's life forever tonight. Flair introduces Bischoff to some lesbians who want to give Eric a little show tonight. Regal comes in and Goldust is behind him, he asks if Bischoff is crazy: a Steel Cage Match, a TLC Match, and now a Blindfold Match? Just be kind and give him a true wrestling match. Bischoff spins the wheel, which lands on... Las Vegas Showgirl! Regal thinks this means he gets to leave with the Showgirls after his victory, but Bischoff tells him it means he will wrestle while dressed as a Vegas Showgirl.

Blindfold Match: D'Lo Brown vs. Triple H (w/ Ric Flair)
Ric Flair distracts the referee so Triple H can take his blindfold off and pedigree D’Lo for the win! NEXT!

Backstage, Bischoff says that the Tag Titles are up in a TLC Match, so what better guys to team up than these experts. They shoe Jeff Hardy, Christian, and Bubba and Eric says there's a TLC match tonight. He tells them to go get partners for the match.

Las Vegas Showgirl Match: Goldust vs. William Regal
Comedy stuff for a joke, NEXT!

Backstage, Terri asks Christian if he has found a partner. Christian says he knows who won't be his partner: any of the Un-Americans, because he actually wants to win. He says he won 3 TLC matches on his own, and Chris Jericho comes over. He said the one Christian didn't win was won by him :mark: why don't the two greatest TLC wrestlers of all-time team up and take home the Titles? THE CHRISTIAN/JERICHO TEAM IS BORN!

Eric spins the wheel for Trish & Stacy's match and it's Paddle on a Pole. Trish is annoyed, so Eric goes double or nothing and clearly holds the wheel still when it hits Bra & Panties. :lmao So the way this will work is thus: whoever strips their opponent to their bra and panties will be the new Women's Champion, and then will get to paddle the loser.

Bubba asks Tommy Dreamer if he would be his partner tonight for TLC. Dreamer gladly accepts, but Spike's feelings are hurt because Bubba didn't ask him. Spike says he watched his big brothers in TLC matches in the past and wished it would be him some day. Dreamer gracefully bows out and Bubba & Spike unite!

Bra & Panties, Paddle on a Pole Match for the WWE Women's Championship: Stacy Keibler vs. Trish Stratus
Trish debuts the "Little Kim" theme. I came like 12 times in the 3 minutes it got, Post-Match: Trish with a spinning heel kick to the head and then grabs the paddle. Trish takes Stacy down and grabs the paddle. She holds Stacy in the ring and paddles away. Stacy runs up the ramp and Trish chases after, but Victoria emerges and punches Trish back towards the ring. Trish rams Victoria into the security barrier, but Victoria returns the favour, ramming Trish into the apron. Victoria smashes Trish's face into the apron, then into the barrier. They go into the ring, where Victoria Superkicks Trish, then scoop slams her. Victoria goes up top and hits the moonsault. She pulls Trish out of the ring and tosses her into the stairs.

Coach tells Jeff that all the teams are set except his. Jeff walks into a room and calls out his partner, Rob Van Dam!

Coach asks why Victoria has been brutally attacking Trish over the weeks. Victoria says she's doing it to expose Trish for who she really is, and claims that Trish has a past history of hurting people. But Victoria is one of the people she hurt, and now she's getting revenge.

Test and Al Snow are in the ring for a match. Eric spins and it's a Las Vegas Street Fight. Bischoff says that all their available weapons can be found under the ring!

Las Vegas Street Fight: Test vs. Al Snow
Standard Hardcore match here, NEXT!

As we go into break, Lawler leaves the announce booth to get ready for his match. He hopes it is an HLA Match, but JR says it could even be an Inferno Match.

As we come back, Jerry Lawler and Steven Richards are in the ring. Bischoff comes on the Tron and spins the wheel, which lands on "It's Legal in Nevada!" Bischoff, Richards, and the ref try to figure out what that means, when the Godfather's music hits, and he comes out with a train of ho’s. Being that Nevada is Godfather's home, he knows what is legal here. So here's the deal: the winner of this match gets to take a ride on the Ho Train.

It's Legal in Nevada Match: Jerry Lawler vs. Steven Richards
Jerry gets his shit in, Richards bumps for him. Anyway the match ends when Richards looks to use the piledriver against Lawler, but Jerry flips him over and pin and jacknife pins him. The Ho’s come in the ring and circle Lawler, and he celebrates like only he can. *1/2

Backstage, Terri asks Kane if he will be at a disadvantage at No Mercy after having gone through a TLC Match tonight. Kane says he's actually happy, for the first time in his life. He has a chance to be the first man to hold the Tag Titles, IC Title, and World Title at the same time. He knows he can do it, and Triple H knows he can do it. He can be in all the TLC Matches you want, and Triple H can make all the threats he wants, but he will do this. Coach comes up and tells them that Triple H and Flair are beating up Hurricane.

Down the hall, they're beating him unconscious until officials pull them off and Kane runs over for the save.

TLC IV for the World Tag Team Championships: Kane & Hurricane vs. Rob Van Dam & Jeff Hardy vs. Bubba Ray Dudley & Spike Dudley vs. Chris Jericho & Christian
JR doing commentary by himself :mark: those were the days, Kane was supposed to be partnered with The Hurricane, but he was taken out earlier in the night. Jericho is wearing the GOAT Pink & Black pants; this match was voted the greatest match in the first decade of Raw. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Now this was a total spotfeast but for some crazy reason I enjoyed it, maybe it's because I've only seen this like 4 times to this point. The match featured some insane action like Jeff Hardy giving a legdrop to Kane through a table, RVD delivering a Van Terminator to Kane, Jeff Hardy being back dropped from inside the ring through a table on the outside, and Chris Jericho doing one of the most insane spots I've ever seen in a TLC match when he fell from the top of a ladder FACE FIRST to the outside of the ring. The match ends when Jericho climbs the ladder and puts the walls of Jericho on RVD on top of the ladder, RVD falls off the top of the ladder, and Jericho climbs higher. Kane returns and climbs up the other side, and chokeslams Jericho from the top of the ladder. He then sits up and climbs the ladder and retrieves both TAG TITLE BELTS to retain the titles by himself! ***1/2

POST-FUCKING-MATCH: Triple H and Flair come out on stage; Triple H says that he warned Kane that his life wouldn't be the same after tonight. He then says Kane might be happy NOW! But let him ask something. Some people can't be that happy. For instance, how happy is KATIE VICK~! That's right, I KNOW, KANE! YOU KILLED HER 10 YEARS AGO! YOU ARE A MURDERER!

SWERVE!

DAT 10-12 MONTH LONG FEUD :mark:

And I have a copy of Armageddon 02 sitting on my shelf ready to view, but think I will wait until you get round to it.

Suddenly that Raw Roulette show seems very lame.

I only remember 2 things from that show, the underrated Eddie/Benoit match. And that Awful HHH/HBK match.

It might be the worse Raw of 2002, over gimmicked and just a mess.

Re: WWF/E's Raw, Smackdown & PPV's 2002

I don't have a file for Smackdown 10/10/2002 :(

But I looked at the results and this show had

Undertaker killing Matt
Los Guerreros, Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle comedy
Billy Kidman & John Cena vs Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit
Heyman telling the world that he's been cheating on his pregnant wife, SWERVE!
More Torrie Wilson/Dawn Hawtness
AND THE MAIN EVENT Edge/Rey Mysterio vs. Tajiri/Brock Lesnar :(

Yeah your right sorry, might have been better if it was Benoit.

Yeah, but Edge was pretty great around 2002 so don't expect it to be bad.

That is true.

I watched the main event of the SD

Smackdown 10/10/2002: WWE Tag Team Titles Tournament (Quarterfinals): Brock Lesnar and Tajiri vs Rey Mysterio and Edge

This was a ton of fun, the first 1/3 was Brock & Edge, with Brock toying with Edge. But Edge would use his exp' to piss Brock off and then tag Rey in, we get a mini-Brock/Rey encounter which ruled but the real goodness starts when Tajiri and Rey lock up. We get 5 minutes with those 2 and they tear is up witch counters. Man i can't wait until they start a feud :mark: The match breaks down but the match still is good enough and enjoyable. The match ends when Tajiri kicks Lesnar by mistake. Edge and Mysterio double drop kick Lesnar over the top rope, Rey then would hit Tajiri with a 619 and Edge would spears Tajiri for the win. Post-Match: Lesnar suplexes Edge on the outside of the ring, Rey tries a dive but Brock catches him and just throws him over his head and into the ropes. Back in the ring, Lesnar f-5's Tajiri. And then does the same to Rey. Undertaker runs down to make the save, and hits Lesnar in the face with his cast,so Lesnar/Heyman bail from ring-side. ***1/4
