Drew McIntyre and Wesley Blake settle their differences

Drew McIntyre’s impressive in-ring performance since coming to NXT caught the attention of Wesley Blake. And, after the former NXT Tag Team Champion decided to interrupt McIntyre’ interview two weeks ago to take issue with him being given a “second chance,” Blake landed on the Scottish brawler’s radar.

Last week, after picking up another hard-fought victory, McIntyre announced that he will give Blake his undivided attention in the form of a fight. Will Blake regret his decision to call out McIntyre?

“The Velveteen Dream Experience” arrives in NXT

Are you ready for “The Velveteen Dream Experience”? This Wednesday on NXT, the Superstar behind the purple haze seen in various vignettes over the last few weeks will make his debut.

Though little is known about this mysterious Superstar, it certainly seems like the NXT Universe is in for, well … an experience.

Aleister Black is back in action

The rising and dangerous Aleister Black will be in action this week on NXT. Since making his in-ring debut inside the yellow ropes, the tattooed destroyer has made quick work of his competition.

Black has nearly kicked off his opponents’ heads with his vicious Black Mass finishing maneuver, making us wonder who will have the unfortunate task of trying to hand Black his first loss.

TakeOver: Chicago was nothing short of a remarkable event that saw NXT Champion Bobby Roode successfully defend his title against Hideo Itami, #DIY implode following their loss to The Authors of Pain in an NXT Tag Team Title Ladder Match, Pete Dunne capture the WWE United Kingdom Championship from Tyler Bate and much more.

With Roode declaring after TakeOver that he will take some time off, when will we see The Glorious One next? And who will be the next Superstar to step up to the plate and try to take the NXT Women’s Title from the dominant Empress of Tomorrow?

WWE NXT preview, June 28, 2017: NXT Women’s Title on the line in Last Woman Standing Match

Asuka will put her record-breaking NXT Women’s Title reign on the line tonight against Nikki Cross in NXT's first-ever Last Woman Standing Match. Can The Empress of Tomorrow escape the chaos that awaits her in this anything-goes contest?

Asuka to defend NXT Women’s Title against Nikki Cross in Last Woman Standing Match

NXT Women’s Champion Asuka will put her coveted title on the line against the crazed Nikki Crosstonight on NXT. The title showdown will be a historic Last Woman Standing Match, further adding to the chaos surrounding the huge championship contest.

The extreme stipulation was a logical next step in Asuka and Cross’s rivalry after the two brawled throughout Full Sail University on the June 14 episode of NXT. Along with Ruby Riot, they competed in a Triple Threat Elimination Match for the NXT Women’s Title. After Riot had been eliminated, Asuka and Cross fought outside the arena, only to return and eventually crash through a table, leaving them laid out in a heap of carnage.

Asuka’s record-breaking NXT Women’s Title reign has overcome many obstacles, but she has yet to face a challenger as crazy as Cross in a bout that caters to chaos like a Last Woman Standing Match. Will we see the end of The Empress of Tomorrow’s historic title reign?

What’s next for Hideo Itami and Kassius Ohno?

Ever since Hideo Itami’s post-TakeOver: Chicago tirade that caught the ire of the rest of the NXT locker room, the Japanese Superstar’s relationship with Kassius Ohno has been on shaky ground.

Itami and Ohno at one point appeared to make amends, but the former No. 1 contender’s unnecessary and offensive use of multiple GTSes to Oney Lorcan once again angered Ohno.

After NXT’s Knockout Artist lost a closely contested match against the undefeated Aleister Black last week, cameras caught Itami telling Ohno to brush off the loss. Ohno didn’t seem to take the gesture as a sincere one, making us wonder if these two are just destined to let their fists (and knees, elbows and feet) do the talking. Can Itami and Ohno make amends, or will tension between these immense talents finally boil over?

Then there’s the somewhat-forgotten Superstar in all of this. Oney Lorcan is not the type of person to let an injustice such as Itami’s ruthless GTS parade go without a fight. The Bostonian has made it clear he despises bullies, having stood up for others against their tormenters. Will Lorcan look for retribution against Itami?
