NXT Tag Team Champions: Adrian Neville & Oliver Grey
NXT Episode 38
March 6th, 2013
Full Sail University: Orlando, Florida
Dusty comes out onto the stage, he welcomes us to the show and says Bo Dallas, Cory Graves and Connor O'Brian will happen tonight. He also says he's beefed up security for tonight.
it's supposed to be a tag team match, but Adrian Neville comes out alone.
Scott Dawson & Judas Devlin vs. Adrian Neville
FUCK YEAH! ONE OF MY KIDS IS DEBUTING
Before the bell, Neville says he doesn't know where Grey is, they came to the arena together but hasn't seen him since. He says this is really unlike him, but it doesn't matter he'll wrestle the match alone. This gets about 3 and a half, it's decent. Pretty much a Neville showcase, Scott shows off his solidness as Judas isn't bad, but he's not on Dawson's level yet. Towards the end of the match, The Wyatt family come out dragging Grey's unconscious body out with them. They leave him for dead on the ramp and walk away, that sparks a Neville comeback, he cleans house and hits the Red Arrow on Dawson for the win. **
Neville immediately runs up to the stage to check on Grey, refs finally come out and also check on him.
Backstage: Renee Young is with Kassius OhNo (Ohno is on his phone looking at old Regal pictures) He says he's been gone for a bit, with this infection, infection with sounds and thoughts of nothing but Regal. He says he can look over and he can see him, judging him. He says Ohno should do this and he should do that, but all he hears is a man he once admires try to become a hero. The last person that tried to become a hero was Richie Steamboat, and do you see him around here? Ohno says he was hoping that would give him a message, but it didn't. And next week I'm gonna crush Bateman and it will be all Regal's fault.
Backstage: Connor O'Brian cuts a promo he talks about how Cory and Bo got lucky last week, but there is no Shield to save them tonight. And tonight he's gonna rise or some shit.
Backstage: Corry Graves says he has the match won last week, but the Shield cost him. But it's cool, he's used to it. He says he didn't have a problem with Connor until he took his match, and will hurt him if he gets in his way. As for Bo if he gets in his way again he will put him down for good.
Yoshi Tatsu vs. Leo Kruger
Kraven showcase, he works the arm and again uses Nigels' London Dungeon for the win. Post-Match; Leo locks it in again, but Justin comes out to make the save.
Sasha Banks, Cameron & Naomi vs. Alica Foxxx, Aksana & Audrey Mare
This isn't good at all, god bless them all for trying. This is one of those practised matches, you can tell they've gone over this in the back and on days off hundreds of times. Heel's isolate Cameron as she's the weakest link, they do stuff it's pretty basic. Naomi has a dope hot tag and destroys 's Audrey with her ass, and kicks. The match ends when Sasha sneaks hits Audrey and she turns into a leg lariat for the win. *3/4
Backstage: Tom Phillips interviews Bo Dallas, he asks Bo how here's feeling about his match tonight. Bo hypes up the Rumble appearance and eliminating IC champ Wade. That was back in January, this is now March and he's still talking about it
Bray Wyatt comes over and says luck is what he'd call that. He says he saw that The Shield laid him out, kind of like he did. Had he not refused his hand, they could have protected him. No luck necessary. Bo says he wants nothing to do with his family and says to stay away from him.
Alberto Del Rio comes to NXT next week. MOTHERFUCKER!
Backstage: Renee Young interviews Summer Rae, she orders Renee to call her "as the First Lady of NXT" She says she got rid of Paige and the only reason Paige got attention because she's attainable, but SHE clearly isn't. The next time she ever steps on the set, she better be called the right name, and she'll treat Renee like she treated Paige, like trash. Emma will find out next week.
Sheild Promo.
Triple Threat #1 Contenders Match for the NXT Championship: Cory Graves vs. Connor O'Brian vs. Bo Dallas
2013 NXT continues to have the worse Main Eventers EVER! So bad, literally a punch fest to start. Connor uses his weight to pick apart both men with power whips, slams and stomps. Bo and Graves have to team up to slow Connor down before graves turn on him. Regal tries to cover up as best he can for Bo, as he makes dumb decision after dumb decision. Bray comes out to distract Bo as we go to break. It's now Graves time to pick apart both men, he keeps stomping and punching away at Connor in the corner to keep him down so he can hit either big moves or lock in submissions on Bo in the middle of the ring. As Bo mounts a comeback, Bray slowly walks down to the ring. Bo hits the side belly-to-belly on Graves, but Bray pulls him out. Bo is gets distracted by this which allows Connor to sneak in and hit a shitty Full Nelson Slam for the win. 16 minutes of my life I'll never get back. *1/2
