Unpopular Video Game Opinions

I play Uncharted on hard which I think is about as balanced as I want it. I'd give crushing a go, especially on PC where I could have the mouse aiming, but would sooner swallow a cactus than try to beat the hardest difficulty they added on the PS4 trilogy. I've heard nightmare stories of the train level in 2 on that difficulty and no thanks.

I don't know how unpopular this is, but these days I kinda like playing games on Easy difficulty if they have the option.

Like I love challenging games like Dark Souls but if I'm playing a more story based game and don't care for the combat, I enjoy playing on easy. It's more casual and stops me from getting angry and dropping a game over cheap deaths.

I did Uncharted 1-3 on the highest difficulty and I think it ruined those games a little bit. The combat was not fun for me, and it was a really frustrating experience.

I think if the game is satisfying enough to play combat wise I'll consider a higher difficulty, but a lot of games don't really implement higher difficulties well.
I am doing it right now on my fourth run of DAYS GONE, I wanted to go fast and easy. But when I play survival horror games, I always use the highest difficulty because I enjoy the challenge. I don't think I've played any resident evil without the highest difficulty in years.

I was actually just thinking yesterday that Sonic the Hedgehog is the single most botched thing in the history of video games due to how it could have actually been the #1 name in the industry but is now a laughing stock and seemingly just bait for people who write strange fanfics on deviantart.

Sega ended any chance they had with the Saturn being a surprise launch, coming with no mainline Sonic game or even barely anything that could make Western audiences want to flock to it, and Sony murdering them live on stage at E3 1995 with "299."

I'd love to disagree and say you're wrong, but you're not.

Also, I loved my Saturn and wish I still had it. It was one of those consoles that surpassed all expectations for me. I really need to find another one fairly cheap. Problem I am running across right now is people want way too much money for it. I will find one soon though.

Dark Souls 2 is my favourite Souls game, surprisingly. I ended up leaving it to last because it had such a negative rep online. To the point where I was being advised to skip it completely. I fell in love with it the moment I booted it up. It was a really good challenge, and I liked the level design, a lot of people hated it. Like Iron Keep was so fucking cool with the lava. Don't get me wrong, it was tough, but incredibly awesome.

The Dreamcast is still the best console of all time.
That's not much of an unpopular opinion tbf.

The Dreamcast did extremely well prior to the PS2's launch in 2001, unfortunately it just didn't have the third party support it could have had to viable compete with it. Imagine if Metal Gear Solid had a visually enhanced version on the Dreamcast. That would have definitely been something.
