I don't know if this is a definite, but for now, I think I'm done with BTB. No, there's no major break or getting tired of what I'm doing right now. My fucking idiot fucking brother fucking sweeped the fucking computer last night. So everything's fucking gone from porn to BTB stuff to music to programs, everything's fucking gone. I'll try to get my feet on the ground, but as of now, PRIDE looks like it's going.
That really, really sucks. You had basically become the top booker here so it's shit timing. Everything was looking good too. Hopefully you can keep going in the near future.

I prefer reading recaps, TBH. Full length matches on weekly shows is, IMO, a large waste of time. Not to mention, they're not even full length because what somebody writes in one paragraph doesn't necessarily equate to any concrete amount of in ring time. It's an estimation. I also prefer the storytelling aspect of booking, which is why I embrace recaps as they allow the story to be told without boring the readers with uninteresting and long matches. My philosophy towards weekly shows; they're used to further intensify and build storylines, nothing more, nothing less. The occasional 'great' match here and there, but I believe that's their purpose. Now, if the BTB is focused more so on wrestling, that's a different story, but still, they generally have PPVs anyway, so the philosophy can apply there as well. Kudos to the guys who can write long matches and still get their works done on time, though; I used to be able to do so, but not anymore, not with my unfortunate 'perfectionist' syndrome running about. This not only applies to my booking, but my other writing ventures as well.
It's clearly a matter of opinion, although it has become an annoyance to me that in almost every thread we are seeing people saying recaps are better. Great, that's your opinion! Now stop running around and shouting thatto the rest of the section, because what they write is also a personal choice of theirs, and it all comes down to their opinion. No one should be attempting to alter their opinion.

Indeed. The review system here in my opinion hinders the forum big time in my opinion, simply because with such a mediocre review format in place, bookers don't improve as much as they potentially could because they're not getting any decent feedback of any real substance.

Funny thing is, that's probably one of WCW's shorter reviews.
You're not the first one to point it out, nor are you the first one to agree with it. DC's comments were probably ignored by the majority of the chat room, because we have said this before. Unofrtunately, it seems that nothing is ever done. I don't agree that everyone should have to do a WCW length review, because some people will struggle with it. Though I do encourage everyone to do a match by match, promo by promo analysis. It isn't that hard, although I think I am the only one who does it (HFH does rarely).

Diesel will probably jump up and down and say he dies it too, but his revoews have shit all in them to help anyway. They just say: 4th best match for me, and things along those lines.

To HFH: :rotflmao_1: Damn... your porn too?

On a more serious note, I had something similiar happen to one of my works, and it was more than 100 pages, so I can sympathize with your unfortunate situation. It was the work of technology, however, as I have no siblings. Hope you can bounce back through this, though. It sucks when folks' hard work becomes nothing more than a memory, due to some stupidity on the opposing party's part. Why did your brother do such a thing, anyhow? If I had a sibling and they had deleted my entire collection of written work, I'd be seriously pissed off.

yeah, everything was wiped clean. the thing I'm most pissed about is the BTB Stuff, and then my collection of mixes I made for some songs. I basically had every wrestling theme known to man, and lots of other music. I'm trying to recover whatever I posted, but the shows that I had planned ahead and didn't post are gone now. I already had the next 7 PPV's outlined, I'll try to remember what I did.

BKB, I understand. It's our opinion; then again, it's no different from the myriad BTBers complaining of recaps and the peeps using 'em, calling 'em lazy and crap. There's my gripe. I like full shows, I do, it's the long ass matches I can't stand, especially when they're a chore to read through. I prefer shorter matches in weekly shows; promos, I like 'em in full detail, though if it's in recap, it'd be just the same. It's just preference, really, like you said. I agree with you, and I'd agree with you more if other bookers would stop complaining of the recap style and the bookers using them. There's 2 sides to this debacle.

That really sucks. PRIDE was my favorite BTB too. :(

Should I CROSS the LINE into the BTB section?

Whatsup guys, I am on vacation right now but I've had some time to lurk around here on the IWF for a few minutes. I'll be back one week from this Thursday, and for some reason I really want to start a BTB when I come back (as well as bring back the podcast). The only real BTB that I can do is a TNA one, I don't know why. I tried to do a WWE BTB a while back, I wrote one show on word and it just didn't feel right. I decided that a TNA BTB was my specialty, and the two TNA BTB's that I have tried in the past are really nothing compared to what I can do now. I have months upon months of storylines that are all planned out in my head. Some of them might win me the Vince Russo award, while others will result in match of the year candidates. If I do start a new TNA BTB, I want to make it the best TNA BTB on here, and also a much different feel compared to the other two that I tried. I have the urge to start writing BTBs again, and I feel that if I start this BTB (my final attempt at BTB btw) I feel that it will last long and be very successful.

I miss the BTB section, and I think its time for me to come back

I'll see you all one week from Thursday, where I will finally unveil my newest TNA BTB, I'm sure you will all enjoy it (especially with all the crazy storylines that I have planned :shifty:)

PRIDE was awesome. Hopefully you get back on your feet soon. I'd hate for that to happen, my future shows and all my planning going down the drain. I often forget what I'm doing in the future so having it written is always a big help

LOL, and WCW writes the awesomest reviews. I'd do the segment by segment thing, but then I probably wouldn't get as many reviews around.

IDK if I'm gonna go with recap. I'm gonna try letting my matches gradually get longer and if I don't like it I'll just go recap.
