Tournament 6.5: Greatest World Champ

I'm thinking of what I will do next, haven't finalized it will be a few days-week with work being crazy this week.

Kind of knew that Triple H was gonna win this tournament.

Well it suprised me a little, I guessed he would be up there, but I thought the likes of Austin, Rock, Undertaker and Flair would be more popplar.

Shawn Michaels would win and noone whose actually great would get a shut... I've spoken to Troy about setting up a committee about it... But GOAT should be out of the question - Not enough people know what they're talking about to do the GOAT.

1. I take it you mean greatest wrestler of all time? Don't think we can do one on that, because how do you judge who should be in it? Sure there maybe obverious chioces like Flair and Micheals for example, but then there might be people who find them to be overated. Also there are plenty of naff wrestlers who have held the world title and great ones who never have, so you can't really do it on titles either, another issue is how many would have?

2. Sounds a bit smutty to me, besides looks are objective, for example I don't find Anginla Jolie attractive and yet millions do. So again how would you decide who to put in it, the likes of Trish, Lita and Sherri Martiel would have to be there just because of name value and their impact on wrestling, Sunny for pure looks and christmas would be a must, but after it would tough. I say do a general Greatest Women of Wrestling poll (meaning that it could include managers too), that way we can base it on overall talent and impact as well as looks.

3. See above, this could work, but to flesh it out we would have to include women champions from other promotions as I don't think there is enough just from WWF/WWE.

4. Done IC Title.

There you go Scott I'd say it is time to do one for the Ladies!

I'm 100% sure the G.O.A.Ts of all time wouldn't even have Flair, Misawa, Funk & Hogan in the semi finals and they are the clearest cut choices for G.O.A.T...

1.Yeh I meant Greatest Wrestler of All Time. I think to do that though, you would need say ten people to hand in a top 50(maybe more) and to gain entry you need at least three votes. If you don't get the 128 required, make it a top 64, and at least it could potentially lose a round of completely one sided results.

2. I'm a seed, sounds good to me.

3. The womens one would have to be like this past one, if we need women from other promotions, why not, or like I said above, make it a top 64

4. I must have missed the IC title one, or I completely forgot. Haha

You misunderstand me, I was not saying that I think Micheals is one of the greatest of all time, just that more people do than don't, and is considered one of the greatest talents ever to appear for a main stream promotion. There fore weather you like it or not he would have to be included in such a tournment.

Well ants if you take it from the time that WWF first had the women's title up until today, then chances are there maybe enough there, but just for varity purposes and because there have been a lot of naff titleholders I think it would make sense to mix it up a bit.

Even if people think Shawn is one of the greatest of all time so what it's a matter of opinion. There really isn't a right or wrong answer in these things since everyone doesn't think the same have the same level of wrestling knowledge etc.

But anyways as far as what stuff that can be done next.

Greatest heel/face of all time or decade
Best gimmick match of all time or decade

Stuff like that.

1. Greatest Women's Champ
2. Greatest PPV since WWF became WWE
3. Greatest Heels (Using the submit votes idea)
4. Greatest Non World Champions (Using the submit votes idea)
5. Greatest World Champ from companies not in the last one (AWA,AJPW,NJPW,NOAH and possibly some filler)

Thoughts?
Also Hottest Diva was our first ever tournament and IC/US/Tag/World are the four I have run.
