I'm concerned about the fact that they still haven't released a teaser or a trailer for it while the movie comes out in two months.
On the other hand the director is a fan of the games and said he took his inspiration from the remakes of the first two episodes, which are great games (and the best in the series IMO)

Netflix is planning a series with an all-female cast and an African-American Wesker.
But this is a big budget movie reboot.

Cast is a bit hit or miss I would say, although I do like the choices of Kaya and Robbie for their respective characters. We'll see how it turns out. I'm in the minority that loves all the Resident Evil films even though they are nothing like the games.
Yes Kaya and Robbie might be the best casting choices in the movie. Leon looks like shit though. I like the actress who plays Jill but she looks NOTHING like the game.
As for the Jovovich series, I will always hate how unfaithful it is to the games but I admit I find Apocalypse, Extinction and Afterlife entertaining. I still haven't rewatched the last one though, I absolutely despised it in the cinema.

Truthfully I've only seen the Movies from Resident Evil and only played the first two Games when it comes to Lore outside of that I'm a rook to it all. So if this Film is more faithful to the Games sign me and call be Susan I can't wait to see it.
Did you play the original games or their remakes? The first game's remake that was released in 2002 on Gamecube is still the best in the series IMO.
Resident Evil Remake is GOAT tier. I love me a good Jill Sandwich.

The original first two Games. I swear I think my younger Brother had a Resident Evil Game on the Wii don't know the number but I was like damn times has changed with the Series.
Probably RE4 which was a completely different kind of game and pointed the series in a new action-heavy direction.
