I dunno... probably just me, but it feels weird how Leon and Ada pretty much look the same, just done with better graphics, while they completely redesigned (and "beautified"... or maybe "sterilized") Ashley. Don't know how to explain it exactly, but I'm not sure I like that.

Ashley was prettier in the original IMO.
Now she looks like Kathryn Morris.

Also they killed the dog in the remake....

A couple of interesting details I have discovered online : the actress who did the voice for Ada in RE2 is not reprising the role and they hired the actress who played the character in the recent movie reboot (WtRC). The actress who did Jill's voice in RE3 is doing Ashley's in this one.

I'm extremely happy with how this looks so far. I'll be holding off for a little bit for reviews but I can't see this being anything but awesome.

Combat looks really smooth. Visuals in that village scene compared to the original is crazy, so detailed. So far I'm really liking the atmosphere in a lot of these scenes, actually feels to me more horror than the original. Especially the bits towards the end where you're exploring with the flashlight as Leon.
