Foleys a huge name. He's the man they put the title on that changed the monday night wars round in WWE's favor. As a company thing, he would probably headline just for that. Plus he's a crowd favorite. I would have no problem seeing Foley headline a Hall of Fame

Foley is a big name in Wrestling but in comparison to headliners of previous years; not so much. Foley has never been "The Guy". He's always been a second-tier commodity or transition Champion. I like the guy, but taking a look at some previous Hall of Fame headliners:

2005: Hulk Hogan
2006: Bret Hart
2007: Dusty Rhodes
2008: Ric Flair
2009: Steve Austin
2010: Ted DiBiase
2011: Shawn Michaels
2012: Edge

Foley's name just isn't as recognizable. Like I said, Foley deserves to in the Hall, but I don't think he will be the main focus. He was a good number two guy.

Edge sticks out like a sore thumb to me in that list. God, why so damn soon. I can see what your saying, but New York is Foley country, it may work in his favor as a home advantage (even though he was born in Indiana lol)

They put Michaels in a year after he retired. I think Edge sticks out because unlike everyone else on that lost he wasn't done yet. I've listened to shoot interviews from Edge where he said he had another year left in him.

But now that you mention it, I can see Foley getting high booking just cause its in MSG. His character is known for getting that cheap pop. I can hear him now. "It's great to be here at the Hall of Fame in Madison..Sqaure..Garden" he smiles that cheesy smile and holds two thumbs up.

I still think someone bigger is going to go in. Maybe Rock gets in, or Taker if he's finished.

Marc Mero to headline! Lololol!

Just kidding, what about Booker T? He's been around for a while, he's a fairly big name, has Jake Roberts been inducted into the HOF yet?

If DiBiase or Edge can headline, Foley can too. He was as big as those guys at his peak easily.

I totally agree. Neither were the definition of "THE Guy" and DiBiase was never champion officially. Foley is a big star. His comedy shows sell out and his books are New York Times Bestsellers. The guy deserves his time to shine. Let Funk, JR or Rock induct him and give him a ring. And just imagine the tuxedo Mr. Socko will be wearing that night :D

Edge had a really good run when he moved to Smackdown and became one of the main players you can revolve the show's title program around. While he wasn't as big as Cena was, he was still a guy they built a show around for a good run.

Dibiase doesn't get the same stature in my view. The WWF tried to push him towards the level at one time, a couple times. But there was just something there that they never felt comfortable giving him even a brief heel title run. Sure, he could put over the Million Dollar belt being as good a marketable gimmick as they WWF title, but I don't buy that. He was a good character and wrestler whose role was to put others over on their way up the ladder past him.

He had a nice career and all, but if the Hall of Fame should really be special and the top of the game as far as leaving a huge mark in the industry, I"m not really sure I he fits.

But heck, Koko B. Ware got in. So sure, Dibiase could headline a HoF class.

Foley and JBL should both go in on that night. They could also induct a female like Lita or Trish and have it go over very well in NY. NAsh is a good add, but I would think he would be better suited for a state like Florida or some WCW country.

Steiners as a team should be looked at too now that Scott is more pissed with TNA than HHH

What about Ken Shamrock, he got some pretty big pops back in the day. He'd be a name I could honestly enjoy headlining. Unless he's already been inducted, although I'm sure he hasn't. From what I've seen on the 1998 episodes of Raw, people loved him.

Don't see Shamrock being able to headline at all, but wouldn't rule him out completely for just being inducted. He was only in WWE for around two years though, so he really shouldn't be, but he has more of a claim than some of the celebrities.

Ken Shamrock was somebody who could've done more in WWE, but seeing as he was a "Bret Hart" guy, he was made to look like a blueberry after all the buildup he had in 97.

There are still tons of guys who deserve to be in the HOF, I think of teams like Demolition, Hart Foundation, Freebirds, Rock & Roll and Midnight Express, and Cornette come to mind instantly.
