I honestly didn't mind Ellsworth...until he was booked to interfere with the
MitB matches...then he earned a place on my shit list and I've wanted him
gone ever since.

That MITB angle is one of the best angles WWE has done this year imo. It worked up a lot of people.
The "a man won the first ever women's MITB" complaints are indeed valid, which makes the work that much better. Gemsworth is the GOAT for that. I think it got Carmella to the next level, honestly. A level that, without Ellsworth, might've taken her at least another year to reach.

We clearly have the exact opposite opinion on this matter...which is fine.

I'm glad you enjoyed it...

I fucking hated it...and no one will convince me to change my opinion
on the matter.

Well, yeah. I like it because it worked people up. You got worked up. Of course you'd hate it if that's the case. No convincing here, brother.

Okay...so you enjoyed it because it annoyed people?

I can understand that...I like annoying fans of "That
Guy I don't mention by Name through fear of him
getting Over"

That always makes me smile...brother...

Yes. It's a work. The reason it happened is to piss people off and then people got pissed off.
That's fucking rare in today's wrestling man. I love it.

The fact that it made Gemsworth get on your shit list for what he did means what they did worked. It's good stuff.

Gotta go with my babe Grievous on this one. I don't usually get into the good heat and bad heat argument but this was bad heat. It was disrespectful to women to have the first ever women's MITB to end this way. If they did it in a future one, it wouldn't be as bad but not the first one.

It would the equivalent of Charlotte and Alexa Bliss being the last 2 in the first ever women's royal rumble and Samoa Joe comes in and throws Charlotte out so the Diva-ish woman would win. That would probably make me quit watching WWE which the MITB would have if they hadn't redone it.

Well...again...you think its good stuff...fine...

I think it was complete bullshit...but like I said...a difference of opinion...
nothing more...nothing less.

Yeah, the reason it is bad is not because it's bad wrestling. It's not as if Tamina would have come in and helped Carmella. That would be different. The reason it is bad is the disrespect to women wrestlers. By having a man, and not much of a man at that, come in and get the briefcase over all of the superior women athletes, is disrespectful to women. I mean, those women kept each other from getting the briefcase but they couldn't keep Ellsworth from getting it? That's what that ending said. And that's why we don't like it.

Bingo! We have a winner!

I would much rather have seen Carmella win the briefcase on her own...
even if she had picked up a steel folding chair and smashed the other 4
women in the match over the head with it and then climbed the ladder...
at least she would have done it on her own...without the help of her then
pet Blob Fish.

Its like the Wrestlemania 32 Triple Threat Match...I still to this day am
pissed off that possibly the biggest women's match in the history of
the WWE was ruined by Ric Flair getting involved with the finish.

Yeah...Charlotte was a heel at the time and Ric helping her was the
"gimmick/schtick" they were using...but it still pissed me off...and still
does to this day.

If the women are to improve & excel...they need to be left alone to
do so.

Now of course if they want to develop the women as characters &
performers by actually having them in a relationship...that's fine...
but keep the men out of their "in-ring" business.

The Ric thing was why I was happy that Charlotte dumped him for Dana Brooke. If you're going to have someone interfering on her behalf, have it be another woman.

I am glad that Ellsworth's departure and final moment was from a woman kicking him out.
