I should but I'm not subjected to those on a daily basis so they irritate me less even though they suck probably just as hard.

And from one snob to another, your opinion is worth more to me than most.

Can't agree with this one. SOAD has some good songs. I do agree that the other bands you mentioned are crap.

HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD IS TERRIBLE.

Completely agree.
Anyway, my original list is pretty old, and had alot missing, and there wasalso some bands I don't like anymore. Figured I'd update.
The ones I like the most are bolded. You'll find alot of different genres, except country and rap. Country is too redneck-ish for me, and rap pisses me off for the most part. I guess it's a mix of some hard rock, some light rock, some indie, some songwriting, some metal, and some punk in here.

Against Me
Alexisonfire
Arkells
Bad Religion
Bob Marley
City and Colour
Coldplay
Dave Matthews Band
Death Cab for Cutie
Eric Clapton
Foo Fighters
Ill Scarlett
Jimmy Eat World

Nine Inch Nails
Nirvana
Oasis

Rage Against the Machine
Rancid
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Rise Against
Sam Roberts
System of a Down
The Clash
The Killers
The Misfits
The Offspring

I'm so fucking tired of the current alt scene with all the emo/hardcore/scene bands. It's ridiculous now, it makes me think of hair metal with all of the guys looking like girls and the bandwagon jumping. It's disgusting.

THANK YOU! I mention this and I get called a "music elitist". Its not that, its that the current crop of "alternative bands" are crap.

I'll third that. The screaming bands are, for the most part, trash. It's hard to admit, but 4 years ago, I actually listened to some of that shit. Only for a few months though. I can't see how anyone ever liked it though. Not only is it pointless, but it's repetitive. I can't tell one screaming band from another. Pluis, the scream sound is just hilarious. It's like a deep, throaty, gravvly, choking type sound, with words mixed in. I hate almost all the "hardcore" music. Most emo music bugs me too. Probably 98%. I hate the clothes, the hair, the eyeliner, the tight pants, the whiny voices, and the fact that they think that makes them different.
Maybe I'm too harsh here, but I completely agree with what you and HFH said.
