I'm confused at saying Punk doesn't work well with some people in the ring, namely Orton and has the most chemistry with Morrison. WTF?

I'd say Punk and Miz work better than Punk and Morrison if you remember them on ECW working together

Oh yeah, nobody should go over Orton, he's fucking amazing.
It isn't that no one should go over. The question is what in the hell in his past WWE booking made you assume WWE would ever put him over Orton or anyone close to that level?

Who cares? What the hell in Orton's past booking made you think he'd ever go over Triple H for the WWE title in 2007? You don't ever advance if you don't go over bigger stars.

Miz can go over John motherfuck CENA at WRESTLEMANIA and Punk can't go over a guy who doesn't even DRAW? God almighty.

Punk/Miz do work great together but Morrison and Punk have wrestled each other a lot more (while having quality) so those two have it by default.

Pretty much. If that was the logic that kept being used that this guy can't beat this guy because he isn't on his level then there would never be any stars made.

The fact he took out HBK and RVD. The fact HHH had worked 2 matches that very night and had to be the LMS. The fact that as a a heel in the Legend Killer, Age of Orton, or Legacy eras he was booked to come out on fucking top multiple times, over being bitched even with 2 separate stables and Vince helping him. Heels can actually win and have it be believable going in that they will come out on top. Punk has never been that heel who actually wins like Orton or any of the other top heels in the company besides when Jeff Hardy was walking out the door and decided to make him.

This is such a circular argument. They booked Orton to look good...they haven't booked Punk to look good...so they can't book Punk to look good? Punk entered the main event as a heel in 2009 and has gotten big heat ever since, even though he rarely wins his matches. People care about him IN SPITE OF HIS POOR W/L RECORD. You use the term "a Jericho" like it's pejorative, when really all it means is WWE recognizes they don't need to spend their time making the guy look good because he does it all by himself. You're talking about a guy who hasn't even had the chance to have a main event level face run.

And you're comparing Punk to Orton, who had every kayfabe accomplishment you could get handed to him before he deserved it and before he could do anything with it. Of course he's a multiple-time champion...WWE put the World belt on him in 2004 when he had the tiniest amount of momentum, and then it was 3 years before he did anything in the main event again. It's just such ridiculous nonsense to use kayfabe accomplishments (based on length of time and fucking attrition) to argue that they'd never put Punk over Orton.

the guy was just coming off of getting squashed by Rey and Big Show in 4 on 1 and 3 on 1 scenarios every night of the week. Cena even had slapped him around. He isn't beating the second coming of Austin in 1998, who hardly ever loses. It just isn't believable. It was and is more plausible for Sheamus, Wade, and Miz to.

Sheamus was losing to Evan Bourne among other jobbers and had an angle devoted to being a big disappointing ginger a whopping 2 months ago.

Wade Barrett hadn't beaten anybody at all without 7-on-1 help until a few weeks ago, when he beat Kofi Kingston with the help of only 3 people! Improvement!

The Miz has been WWE's pet project for the last 9 months.

So what you're saying is that CM Punk doesn't meet your shifting, baseless, subjective criteria of someone who can/should be booked to win a match against Randy Orton. And this is the opinion you're posting. In public. You do understand people are actually reading these words you're writing, right?

I said it was more plausible when they faced Orton for them to win (meaning at that time before the Punk feud when they were facing him) than when the Punk faced him.

Sheamus wasn't disappointing ginger then. Wade won with the deck stacked in his favor even if it was 7 on 1, he was booked as the LOL he can't get get shit done heel as Nexus leader. Miz is Miz, and we all know that Miz has been portrayed better against main guys in the ring and is the bigger star or the two in and out of WWE.

And yeah, I'm saying Punk being thought of as having a serious chance to win a big money match with the way he is booked is about as good as the Mavericks chances of winning a NBA title

Apparently you live in this world where heels win feuds more than they lose feuds. It doesn't exist.

TOP Heels do get wins in feuds. They may not win the finale but they win matches against the main protagonist. HHH, Orton, Brock, JBL, Taker, Austin, and Rock all did it. Punk just doesn't. To excuse it or write it off is bull because we all remember HHH in 03 and 01, we all remember Hollywood and corporate Rock, we all remember JBL as the longest reigning champ on SD, we all remember Big Evil, we all remember Power Trip and Alliance Austin, we all remember the Legend Killer/Age of Orton/Legacy, we all remember Brock, we all remember the Ultimate Opportunist, we all remember HBK, we all remember Mr. McMahon, and we will remember Miz as top heels because they weren't always the bitch to the protagonist they were put against at every stage. Yeah they took losses here and there, but they won matches and especially when when they had numbers/stipulation/injury advantages. Punk is the bitch who gets his ass beat every step of the way when he gets in the ring. I can't take him seriously against the top tier guys when he can't even squeeze out a win via hook or crook no matter what. If this was a legit sport, you would put easy money on him choking

Pretty sure he beat Rey, Jeff & Taker during their feuds on PPV.

He also beat Cena recently, albeit on Raw and with help.

I can't believe you actually let this lunatic be a Super Mod, it reflects so badly on the forum.
