Best Movie of the Year Discussion

Fuji Vice

If both Cloverfield and Megan Is Missing ever get sequels, I can die a happy man.

Years ago, after Cloverfield came out, I read a story that there were multiple sequels in the works that were supposed to take place during the same attack but from different people's perspectives. One idea I had is that some of the people in these sequels would even have encountered those from the original, even if just passing by them on the street. I thought this was an awesome plan but it seems as though that has fallen by the wayside.

Yeah bro. Red State was so awesome (and yes I started getting interested in the movie when I saw you pimping it on your sig/avy lol). I'm not a religious guy and I really don't know the history of the Westboro Baptist Church other than that they're extremely controversial, but I really liked this movie.

I guess its virtually impossible for people to agree on the best movie of the year because everyone's tastes are so different. I think The Artist is the best film I've seen in about three or four years, but nobody is going to like it the way I do since its a silent movie about the end of the silent film era. Drive would still be my number two. Wouldn't put Red State in my top 5 but I thought it was good.

Red State, is that the Kevin Smith directed horror movie? I'm pretty sure I remember that looking good, somehow I got reminded of the remake of Straw Dogs which also looked good. James Marsden is awesome.

I would have to say its a toss up for myself..... I am a huge fan of Ryan Goslings work and Drive definitely captured my attention. But I also would have to say my most shocking film I didn't hate this year would have to be Smurfs. If you haven't seen it don't knock it. Neil Patrick Harris is a GOD.

Maybe not everyone liked it but I quite liked Arthur Christmas. It certainly wasn't Movie of the Year but it was still not that bad of a Movie IMO. It was a classic Christmas movie with some comedy mixed in and just a great family film.

Riding In Cars With Boys with Drew Barrymore was a pretty good film:)

I enjoyed the second Sherlock Holmes, mostly for the ending.

My comedy of the year would probably be Horrible Bosses.
