I'd still say Mickey Mouse is more of a candidate than she is. I mean I guarantee you that you go down the street and ask folks about this chick and they'd be like... "Who? She is a what?" Then they'd look at you like an idiot. Anybody can declare themselves a Presidential candidate. Just declare themselves an Independent.

I'm just saying also compared to Perot... Nader looks like nothing which is why the "irrelevant" comment was made.

If you went down the street asking people about Mickey Mouse's chances in the election I'm pretty sure they'd look at you like you were an idiot too. Like I say, it's not about Jill Stein, it's about what happened to her.

I suppose the sad irony is that if Mickey Mouse had been arrested outside the debate and locked up for 7 hrs, handcuffed to a metal chair that probably would have made the news..

I think I'd get more laughs out of talking up Mickey to be elected though. but yeah Jill Stein just sounds like another person gettin arrested. Mickey Mouse woulda made the news. Just how politics work. Democratic and Republican get all the publicity and unless that third party got loads of money to get their name out... they aren't noticed

I dunno man, Obama was dreadful first time around, Romney took his chance well, but last night Obama came out strong and stayed solid and Romney made a lot of unforced errors. I'm not a big one for "draws" in debates. Romney took the first one clearly and Obama took last night's as far as I'm concerned. It's all square going into the last debate.

I've heard lots of people accuse the first debate moderator of the things you've said above about last nights. I think it's one of those things that are influenced by your own partisan viewing of it, that's pretty natural. I actually think both of them did their job pretty well.

In the first debate, Jim Lehrer got railroaded by both candidates. He was not a good moderator at all.

I watched it and Obama won quite easily mostly due to Romney shooting himself in the foot contradicting himself multiple times, coming off sexiest against women (His binder full of women comment became a running gag and meme quickly) and just generally coming off like a dick. If you want clear proof that Republicans know he lost look back at all the nitpicking some of them did after the debate talking about how Obama had 3 more minutes to talk and how Michelle Obama broke rules by clapping, lol.

Obama had his missteps too. They've both made pretty egregious errors in both debates. I'll give you that mentioning Michelle Obama clapping is a bit of a stretch even though she is not supposed to and that is a definite faux pas, but Obama having 3 minutes more talk time was unacceptable. Obama also got in the last word on most of the issues.

It's still nitpicking it's 3 minutes so what? Reason I say that is because in the last debate Obama actually had like 4 minutes more but nobody said a thing about it because Romney won that debate. So now it's just grasping at straws. There was much bigger issues such as Romney talking down to the president telling him you'll get your turn to talk despite him interrupting Obama. Which is supposed to be a no no since it still is the president. Romney's whole attitude just was annoying.

Romney's dickish attitude is hilarious to me. Makes me love the guy despite it probably hurting him overall. The way he'd smirk towards the moderator every time he went over his time had me lol'ing the whole night.

It'd love it if he was a wrestler and this was his gimmick but for a guy who might be running the country I'm in it makes me want to punch him in the face.

I thought it was justified because the whole debate was so tilted toward Obama that you really can't blame Romney for speaking out. I mean, the moderator just made herself out to be a flaming liberal and Obama seemed to constantly be getting the last word in/more talking time when it's supposed to be 50/50.

And let's not forget that Joe Biden looked like a bigger jackass than Romney has to date in his debate. What the hell was with his blatant laughing at the issues every 45 seconds and his near constant interruptions? It's a Vice Presidential debate, let's take it seriously. It's funny how when a Republican missteps, everyone points it out, but when when Joe Biden missteps, it's kind of like no big deal. There's your liberal tilt in the U.S media at work.

The last debate is tonight right? Can someone from the UK tell me what time it would air over here?

Thanks. Think I might have to listen to it on the radio as I don't have a TV, might try and catch it online.

Would say Obama got the best of the final debate. He seemed composed and reacted well to Romney's critucisms. Romney came off as too desprate and didn't say anything much of note. It was a pretty dull debate TBH. It would still be a big upset if we got a new president I think.

The last debate was about foreign policy, one guy was gaffing like crazy when he went overseas, the other was getting massive crowds.

No debate imo.

Obama wins the debates 2-1. Let's just hope he can carry that into the election.
