You go to Jerry Jarrett, Gabe Supalski (sp), Vince McMahon, or any other promoter, and they will tell you, they are in it for ONE reason, to make money. It's been this way FOREVER. This isn't about artistic expression, like say music, because these people arent living in the moment. They are robots going through a script trying to "give the fans what they want" so they will come back and what....BUY MORE TICKETS!! Are you seriously that fucking stupid?

Look at Basketball, the NO Hornets are one of the lowest grossing teams, ticket sells are mediocre, merchandise doesn't sell, and this is all before the Hurricane...I guess the higher grossing teams like the Heat (won about 10 games all season) are better because they make more money...Right?

The 20,000 fans who fall asleep for the Chris Masters match are the fans who you listen to because they are the ones who are giving the right response. They dont want him on there, and they are showing it by leaving to get gimmicks or beer or falling asleep. The idiots who sit there and scream at the top of their lungs THIS MATCH SUCKS, THIS MATCH SUCKS, they are emotionally involved in the match, which is the goal of every match. If 20,000 people are falling asleep for an American Dragon/Amazing Red match, they aren't having as good a match as they or the 100 out of 20,000 fucking think. It is WAY EASIER to give less people what they want or get them involved than it is 20,000.

And Enig, they may reek of arrogance to you and others but I dont really give a fuck what you think about me, or anyone else who isnt family or friends for that matter. I am not better than anyone for knowing what I know, I just have a broader perspective when it comes to wrestling.

And there is a right and wrong answer to our argument, it is not an opinion. It is a FACT that by and large, pleasing smaller amounts of people is a lot easier than pleasing more. That's why bands get called "sell outs" because their inbred blueberry fans think they were abandoned. The small club of 300 people loves metal, loves metal, loves metal. The band only reaches those 300 people playing metal because the rest of the people could care less because they dont like what the band has to offer. But god damn it, those 300 people love metal. But the second that band changes and tries to please a wider audience with different things, acoustic guitars, female guest singers, etc. those 300 fans desert them because they are a small hardcore group of fans who want ONE THING from this band. Where is the mainstream public wants 500,000 different things from this band.


Oh and yes, if you use the term "mark" or "mark out" in a derogatory term, yes, you are no longer a wrestling fan. If you think you are better than someone because they are a "mark" and you "mark out" only when it's cool to do so, you are no longer a fan, you're on the smark bandwagon.
