It just made it even more impactful as PSYCH pointed out that Rock was frazzled after that which pretty much always never happens to him. This is why despite the corny shit Cena does on the mic sometimes I still hold him in high regard on the mic because he can come totally off the top of his head and make someone look silly or sting them right back as hard.

John Cena is really good on the mic when he is more serious, his promo last week was one of his best because he cut the crap and focussed on the feud and the match.

Well neither is the whole fruity pebbles, lady parts, etc stuff to be fair tho. I thought tonight he put a nice twist on it with separating Dwayne from Rock.

I agree with this. The Rock's material isn't exactly new. We know that he's the people's champion, we know how much he loves the WWE and he started using the catchphrases, "Boots To Asses" and "Fruit Pebbles" last year.

Rock used the same insults at least 3 times each in his promo. No one seems to notice that or even care. Frankly, "Kung Pow Bitch" wasn't even that funny, not sure why he felt the need to say it 2 more times. It rolls off your tongue nicely, but that's about it. And "Fruity Pebbles" was last year ffs. Yeah, that was funnier, but seriously, running low on insults much? I was waiting for "yabba dabba bitch" to resurface. Surprised it didn't tbh

Kung Pow Bitch was stupid I will give you that. With Fruity Pebbles The Rock actually tried to make a point when he brought that up by saying how ridiculous it was that last time he was here he got the crowd to chant that and then the next minute Cena has a promotional deal with them. Plus half the time tonight the crowd just started their own chants bringing up things that he said in the past. I mentioned it in the chat that I wish the fans would stop to let him continue what he was saying so that he didn't have to get sidetracked to respond to those chants.

The stuff that I loved the Rock promo for wasn't any of the comedy it was the serious stuff he came with. That's what I was looking for coming into Raw and glad he delivered it perfectly. The comedy stuff though as much as I' am a Rock fan didn't really get much out of me. In part because this twitter shit annoys me too much as is so him trying to pile that all in trying to get stuffed trending annoyed me.

Now that part I did like I will admit that was well played by him.

I wish WWE's whole Twitter bit would die a horrible painful death, honestly.

I would take Michael Cole v. Josh Mathews in the main event of Wrestlemania just to get rid of it permanently.

I mean I get they are in business with them or whatever but I still just can't deal with it. They've calmed down on it in comparison to how they were doing it months ago and then Rock had to comeback and overload the shit back up in one promo.

Be careful what you wish for, you might be giving WWE ideas.

Yeah I get that completely. I used to think it was annoying when every corporation on planet earth started saying "Facebook" in all their commercials and public plugs, but the rise of Twitter is a complete slight against God.

If you are going to have an announcer match surely it would be Matthews versus Striker but then you would only do it on NXT.

Josh Mathews could probably sell pain very effectively through his dramatic facial expressions. Would love to see how he could take a bump.

What Will the Board Decide?
WWE's Board of Directors has just informed WWE.com that there will be a change in leadership for next week’s Raw SuperShow and SmackDown. The Board’s official statement on the futures of SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long (@GMSmackDown) and Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis (@WWERawGM) will be released exclusively on WWE.com tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. ET.

Wonder what's going to happen, hopefully Ace remains GM.

They will switch brands for next week. Teddy will be GM for RAW and Johnny Ace will be GM for Smackdown.
