I find it weird that we have black history month. I mean, if we're all equal, what's the point? We should just call it cultural month or some shit. Is there a month or day for LGBT? (Not sure if I got the acronym right.)

Because for some reason, people are under the crazy illusion that we aren't all equal. I mean never understood the deal with feminism, yeah I understand Women get unfairly looked at in the world because men supposedly see them as inferiors. But surely we should be fighting for equal rights as Human's not just looking out for one gender, race or sexual orientation!

Don't try to make sense of it. Its like Affirmative action, shit like that is just perpetuating racism when employers should just hire the best candidate, not anyone because they are a certain race. I know if I weren't white I wouldn't want to get an interview just because some dude was forced to bring in a black dude or Mexican just because its a law. There was probably a place for it 50/60 years ago, but I feel we are past needing it today, or maybe I'm just naive to racism but in our generation especially it just seems like a non issue.

If I'm going to hate another person I can damn sure figure out a better reason than something they ultimately had no control over like sexual preference or race ffs.

I will just say this, fuck people who use race/gender/sexuality/disability as a reason why they got fired or didn't get hired.

The only problem is some people just can't accept the reason of "I don't like you because of how you act". So if they're of a different colour/gender/sexual orientation then odds are they will use that as an excuse instead of making themselves a better person.

disability? seems like a good reason, I was with you until that. None of the other things have any bearing on how well one may or may not do their job, a disability could clearly be a hindrance and thus a legitimate reason to fire or not hire someone

I guess maybe you should clarify what you mean by disabled though

I should, what I mean is, if it's a minor disability, I have actually heard people use that as an excuse, maybe I am the only one who hears it, idk.

I had a disabled teacher and each year 80% of the class either dropped it or failed. He got disabled when he was normal or something. Pretty much, I failed and dropped the class before, and he really shouldn't be a teacher. He was unable to teach, which is doing his job. Thankfully, he was fired or something. So yeah, I don't think it's really discrimination. If you're unable to do the job, you shouldn't be hired.

I'm not mocking you at all, I love lesbians. Not just cinimax lesbians, although, duh, but I genuinely have friendships that I value with two different chicks who are lesbians. The thing is, where we are from it really isn't all that big of a deal like, at all...
Actually, I was thinking a little more about what you said, and I see what you mean. In truth, I’m hyper-sensitive about this kind of thing, and I’m aware that a lot of my paranoia is mostly in my head. Even my own friends think I'm crazy, lol. Not sure why I felt the need to clarify that, but…

Its understandable if you live somewhere with less acceptance and you have to deal with a lot of stupid bullshit. I think its natural that you start to feel like you are being singled out at times.
