It still has a serial number though. And thats traceable. iPhone's also have GPS in them. In otherwords its completely traceable. I would return it, becuase if the guy still has his bill they can track it down even if you take out the sim card and what not. You can still get off pretty easy though, just tell him that you found it and the contacts had already been erased because you looked for them first to try and find out who it belonged to. It would also help explain to people why you never answered the phone when he called.
