Think both could likely be true but I believe the Rock/Hogan one a tad more just bc it's still hard for me to believe WWE ever had plans of Hall beating Austin. But stranger things have happened and that's been reported by quite a few people

Nash wasn't booked because he was booked to help Hall win his match against Austin and then he runs down after Hogan lose to beat up Rock. They figured Nash didn't need a match when he got heat for the group twice. When those tow finishes changed the day of, it ruins the point of not having a match. He should have wrestled Angle.

And turning HULK FUCKING HOGAN face is definitely a decision I could see WWE making last minute that's typical

Hall and Nash both tells the story of the booking changing multiple times in multiple interviews over the years. I don't think they're. The nWo needed to go over one of the two of them to remain a threat after Mania and Rock was always winning. Hall actually started drinking again immediately after he was told the finish changed he was so upset. Hall never lies about why he relapses.

I've heard this part confirmed by others in WWE. Apparently WWE were shocked how hard it was to get Hogan boos in 2002 so last minute they turn him. I personally think they shoulda waited until a couple weeks after Mania. nWo needed that heat.

Nash and Kane would have been aids. Angle was the last top guy other than Trips nWo weren't working at X8 so it makes the most sense and the Kane angle is just nothing.

Yeah, his family issues were quite bad and his kids custody was an issue so he didn't even want to come back to WWF after being out of WCW for almost 2 years. Vince personally made a lot of promises to get him to comeback. And not just the booking. There was dates he wasn't supposedly to work and stuff and he worked them anyway thinking the nWo were gonna do good business in the WWF and they felt lied to when both finishes changed.
