Aids, that Final Fantasy is the one with Kefka, right? The fact that in North American the numbers are different from the original Japanese always messes me up. If so, I'm planning on starting Final Fantasy VI/III soon. Also, I unfortunately never got to play the Dreamcast, I eventually plan on buying one though. And I'm getting pumped to play ET, it seems like an essential rite of passage for gamers and critics alike and I consider myself both. Since we're doing this age thing, I'm 19 years old and have no idea when I started playing games. I will say that my earliest memory is that of me watching my brother play Super Mario World as I pissed in my mouth. It's an odd first memory to say the least.

My favorite system, if not taking backwards compatibility into the mix, would either be the SNES or the PS2. The N64 is also up there however the controller knocks it down a peg for me. I tend to play most of my games today on my laptop though, using my PS3 controller.

That analog stick, I still feel the burns from when you have to rotate it :/! I also struggle to play Goldeneye now, I'm too used to dual thumbstick shooters!

Lately I've been loving God of War: Ascension. Fantastic game and quite possibly the best of the GoW games. Prior to that I enjoyed completing The Walking Dead (Telltale Games -- the one based off the comics). Cool game with great storyline that gets you involved and connected with the characters involved.

I'm really wanting to check out Tomb Raider, so I'm hoping to get that one in the near future. I've heard nothing but great things about it. Skyrim is another game I want to check out but haven't gotten yet. Future games coming out this year that I'm interested in include Injustice: Gods Among Us, Lego Marvel Super Heroes (don't hate), Dead Pool and Beyond: Two Souls.

Nice list, it's a shame you're on PS3 xD! I'd only buy it for the Kingdom Hearts and the Exclusives.

If you like god of war check this vidya out!

:haha: But I love my PS3! :pity: The exclusives are nice, and I'm a fan of God of War, LittleBigPlanet and Ratchet & Clank, so it works.

I'll be sure to check that out when I get home from work! Looks like it should be interesting! ;)

I haven't played the Kingdom Hearts games myself but had always been interested in them. One of my best friends played them and really enjoyed them on the PS2. I shared with her recently how they are remastering some of those and doing a release for the PS3 for Kingdom Hearts, so I might have to check that one out when it's available. :)

I went back and found it, lol. This is the Kingdom Hearts release I mentioned that I told my friend about. I'll be sure to check it out! They sound like cool games.

Ratchet and Clank is a great game series! I had purchased All 4 One, and then I also got the Ratchet and Clank Collection for the PS3 for Christmas. So now I gave one of my friends my PS2 with the Ratchet and Clank games since I have the collection. :) Love those games. I haven't played them much yet since I've been busy with other games, but they're great!

I've owned all of them at somepoint except the PS3 ones. I'll probably buy a PS3 in the autumn. I love Ratchet Gladiator, it's Co-op and epic! I'd recommend getting it if you get a chance.

Beyond: Two Souls looks absolutely incredible. There is no game I'm more excited for than that one. Injustice is another one that interests me. I think that's about it, except for Rayman Legends.

Also, I'm to lazy to quote the post that this section is relative to, but that Kingdom Hearts HD Collection looks amazing. Probably adding that to my incredibly small list of games I want to get this year. I never got to play any of the Kingdom Hearts (except Chain Of Memories back when it was for the GBA) for a long period of time. I definitely enjoyed what I played though.

I'll start my first review with a game I like for the N64, Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, I will cutting the review down into a few sections. Gameplay, Sound, Story and The bad stuff.

Gameplay: The gameplay is a mix of Zelda/Mario so it's an action adventure platforming game. For the most parts the puzzles are easy, you just time jumps or use each characters different ability to move the object. (In example, you use Goemon's strength power up to move Big Steel blocks, Yae's Mermaid powers to swim underwater), Now you don't start the game with these you have to do a minigame to get them, which can be a fun break from the main game itself. You also unlock the other 3 main characters as you progress through the story, so you do have to play through abit to be able to get to control which one you like.

Now to one of the main parts of the gameplay; The boss battles, there are two types of bosses (which I will post Video's of at the end of this review). The first is a normal on foot boss battle, which on the most part requires you to dodge it's attacks and then attack when the boss is weak. Fun and challenging each boss has a different strategy. Then we get to the Impact battles, you control a giant robot that looks like the main character, then you have to fight another giant robot, the controls are simple and it's fun punching a giant robot.

As with Zelda and Mario, there are castles you have to go through and each one is packed with upgrades and puzzles for certain characters. you have to go around collecting keys to unlock doors to get closer to the boss. Simple stuff and it even has a map showing where you have and haven't been.

Sound: The music in this game is amazing, every piece feels like it fits the situation and whilst you're in the castles. the deeper in you get, the music changes subtly adding different beats to the same song. The character sounds are good too, with each character blurting out different Japanese noise when they get hit or get a power up.

Story: The story revolves around the Peach mountain shogun in their giant floating space peach, turning the world into a giant stage, with their instant stage beam, after saving the king of Edo castle, he tells you to go after them and stop them so you chase them down through different area's until you eventually save Japan from them. It's a simple plot that get slightly developed after awhile, which is good enough for a game like this. The dialog for this game can sometimes be quite hilarious.

The Negatives: This game isn't perfect and i'm one to admit this with open arms so below, I shall list what I feel brings this game down for me.

- Camera can be a fussy and annoying.
- Jumps have to be timed to perfection alot of the time.
- Sometimes you can feel lost and have no idea what to do (you can visit a hint giver, but you shouldn't need too)
- Some of the bosses feel too easy (you can beat the first boss without moving)
- Goemon's Mini game can be frustrating
- Story never feels more than just something in the background

Overall I'd give it a 7/10, whilst a fun action platformer, it needed abit more story development and it would have been a classic.

This theme is also a very memorable part of the game!

You sound about like me then. :obama:

Agreed, Beyond: Two Souls just looks and sounds amazing to me. It doesn't seem to have been hyped much yet, but I'm very much excited for its release. Injustice should be great from what I can tell, as well.

I'm with you on Kingdom Hearts, as well, except that instead of having not played them for a long period of time, I've just never gotten to play them. However, I think the HD Collection looks fantastic and will certainly be checking it out and playing it.
