I think he probably also figured his window was closing if he wanted to pursue a real acting career. It's pretty big that he was able to really break through as an actor in his late 40s.

The fucking 4 year saga of Taker/HHH/HBK was amazing. The fuck is anyone tryna debate that for?

For the first time in awhile, my favorite HBK WM matches list as far as favorites go has a change. HBK/Angle WM 21 has usurped what was my second favorite HBK WM match for awhile now (HBK/Taker WM 26) and is now in second place for me as far as HBK Mania matches go.

I always loved HBK/Angle, but never had it in my tippy top of HBK WM matches. I don't even know why it moved up my list, but watching it the other day on the anniversary did it for me. IDK if I paid alittle bit more attention to the match this year or what, but it is now solidly in second place for me. Amazing match.

Nobody was. I just don't personally care about it.

I didn't really enjoy the Triple H/Taker matches either, tbh. And since about 2000 to current day, I've hated Taker's character. I loved it as a kid from like 1991/1992 to about 1999 when he was heel Ministry Taker. But after that, Taker's character has been a complete miss for me since then and to now.

If Taker were to ever come out again in either the gray or purple gloves and long socks, I'd mark like alittle kid again. Haven't liked any of his gears since then, tbh.

To be clear, I loved Big Evil in 2001-2003. I hated everything after he was buried in 2003. I hard agree about needing to go back to his early 90s character to do the deadman right.

Yes. And not only that, but his gear has been awful in all of that time, as well. When they advertised that the Deadman was coming back at WM 20 and he trotted out there with Paul Bearer (which I loved), but he had that goofy ass gear on AND still short-ish hair, I was so disappointed. I thought for sure at some point Taker would return to his gray or purple gear by now, but it's looking like he never will. I honestly can't believe he won't do it. But reading stuff over the years, he does like his Biker shit more than his original Deadman shit, so I guess that's why. Disappointing.

A black spandex tanktop with no design on it and a pair of leather pants is about as generic as it gets.
