People booed Cena because they hated him. And who said he wasn't the top guy? You're literally saying things I didn't.

I honestly don't know why you're so caught up on him being booed, Shield. He got huge ovations as well. He was a one of a kind guy that got the loudest reactions every time he showed up, even though it was mostly mixed. He conjured emotion and had people interested. If anything, the level of noise that was created by the conflicting opinions kept him on top.

Man you suck at reading. The point was he couldn’t keep his gimmick for long, it would have gotten wack fast. His other gimmick kept him over for a decade despite booing.

And no one said they pushed him to get booed. They were smart enough to know the smarks booing was a small portion of the fan base and he was making so much money that it proved he wasn’t hated as much as you seem to think.

Cena was over for maybe six months before he was booed by half the crowd. That's not long at all. There's no reason they couldn't have let the gimmick that got him over to run as long as it could and THEN change it when it needs to be changed.

And that my friend is where you're wrong BECAUSE he was doing everything they wanted their top guy to do: top merchandise seller, selling out arenas, winning over the target audience. Grown men may have booed him but they were still buying his merch for their kids.

I never said that. I said in in the eras of those guys WWE never would have stayed with them if they got booed like Cena so Cena should have turned heel or changed his gimmick. The top guy is whoever WWE decides to push. So you guys are fighting an argument no one even made.
