Kaedon, you're acting like Peepshow wants every RAW, every Smackdown!, every ECW, hell, every developmental match, to open with "DON'T TAKE THIS SHOW SERIOUSLY. EVERYTHING YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE IS COMPLETELY FAKE. ALL PERSONALITIES ARE SCRIPTED AND ACTED OUT, THE PUNCHES DON'T CONNECT, THE UNDERTAKER IS NOT ACTUALLY UNDEAD AND CANNOT SUMMON FIRE AND LIGHTNING BOLTS, RIC FLAIRS SLAPS AND LEGLOCK ARE AS PAINLESS AND LAUGHABLE AS THEY LOOK, ANY FALL OVER 3 METERS HAS TO BE ONTO A PROFESSIONAL STUNT MAT OTHERWISE OUR COMPANY HEALTH INSURANCE WOULD DOUBLE AND WE'D LOSE OUR DENTAL PLAN, FUNAKI CAN SPEAK ENGLISH, SNITSKY BRUSHES HIS TEETH AND IS ACTUALLY A WHOLESOME FAMILY MAN WHO DONATES MONEY TO THE SICK KITTENS FOUNDATION, KING BOOKER ACTUALLY HAS NO ROYAL HERITAGE AND HOLDS NO MONARCHICAL POWER, KANE DID NOT SLEEP WITH LITA (MAYBE HIS ACTOR GLEN JACOBS DID, WE DON'T KNOW, IT'S A BIG LOCKER ROOM AND THEY'RE ALONE BACK THERE FOR HOURS), AND IF IT APPEARS THAT ANY OF OUR ESSENTIAL STUNTMEN APPEAR TO BE INJURED, 99.9% CHANCE THAT IT'S SCRIPTED SO FEEL FREE TO MOCK HIM AS HE'S WHEELED OUT. WE GET OFF ON YOUR RIDICULE."

What Peepshow is asking for is simply a more readily available admittance by WWE that their shows are fake, just so mainstream media and your average joe will stop getting the idea that we think it's all real. Perhaps more importantly, for the SEVERELY uneducated idiot, this admittance will make people stop thinking that the superstars actually act the way they do when they're in the real world. This newfound respect for the professional wrestling industry will boost ratings of WWE, TNA, and every other promotion down to the tiniest city-wide community fair thing. If your precious 8 year olds actually watch the news or frequent any media outlet that points out that wrestling is fake, then you can worry that WWE will go out of business all because of this. But the respect professional wrestling would get from a more readily available admittance that it's all scripted, leading to more viewers willing to give it a chance, would more than balance out the three 8 year olds who would actually stop watching forever once they heard the news.

No, thats not what I think he wants. What he wants would KILL THE BUSINESS. What he wants is what ROH and TNA give their audiences. ROH and TNA tell their audiences, especially through the ring work, that its all fake and there is no consequence to any action you see. And how are those promotions doing? Rocketing ticket sales? People banging down the door to get a contract with them? No.

The reason wrestling was so over back in the day and back when Vince and Austin were having their feud was because PEOPLE BELIEVED IN IT! If the WWE had admitted AT ALL that what was going on between austin and vince as fake, people would have said "fuck this, im going to watch WCW." Most people WANT to suspend their disbelief, but if you say "hey rube, its fake" they wont.

Please elaborate. People have been complaining that ROH tries to be "real" so this is basically out of nowhere.

mostly the ring work. Through not using psychology. EG the TNA Ultimate X fiasco. Ive seen it happen on a more base level on ROH when I saw "Punks Last Stand", especially during the lower card matches that the fans dont "care" about. They just go out, try and wow the crowd, and forget about simple psychology either because they weren't taught or because they just dont care.

Kaedon, I thought TNA was supposed to be different that WWE. I thought that was what everyone wanted. I mean seriously. Everything that they do differently than the E you complain about. Psychology, gimmicks, matches, face/heel, pschology, in ring work, spots, production, psychology, fueds, management, fans, psychology. I mean seriously. We know. WWE obviously is great at ALL of that. So we know everything else just sucks.

I'm not sure why they're that worried about it. I mean we've all, at least most of us, have seen these guys live. Plus out of 20,000+ people in an arena at least half or more are little kids. Personally I find it to be a lot more real in person opposed to on TV. This seems like an unnecissary concern imo. Plus as stated before hardly anyone has USAHD so not that many people are going to get the real effect. Not to mention the fact that if that few people have USAHD even less probably have SCIFIHD or CWHD.

There are things that are paramount throughout all GREAT wrestling, no matter what promotion. Psychology is one of them. Make fun of me all you want, but check the track record of anyone who has ever drawn money and that is one of the things they knew how to do.

OK I see what your saying. ROH has changed a lot over the years, you should give it a chance imo. Or at least see a recent show before you pass judgment...ITS NOT FAIR I TELL YOU

and I think you mean Punk the final chapter...

Maybe some day I will but as far as im concerned, it was only, what, a year, 2 years ago, when they did that PPV? What could have changed in the way they work that much? I mean really. And it's not really their fault I guess because the guy who trained them was probably a jobber who never learned how to work anyway. But at the end of the day, it's no excuse for sucking. How long have guys like, whats his name, the guy who got into a "shoot" with Rick Steiner. I think his nickname is "The Shooter" Vordell Walker? He wasnt taught how to do do shit and where has he been his whole career? The indies. There are very few who are that good and break out of ROH and the indies. There wre some on the PPV I saw, however not many.

3 Years ago, I wasnt a fan in 05. About 15-20% of the 05 roster remains in ROH, maybe less. Its a completely different promotion.

If Lance Storm loves it (he hates everything) I'm pretty sure you will find it at least a bit entertaining.

What do you mean break out? You do know MVP, CM Punk, Mickie James, Paul London, Spanky, Jamie Noble, and a bunch of others didnt really start to get noticed until their time in ROH. A bunch of TNA guys (Styles, Shelley, etc) come from ROH but I wont name them because you most likely think they suck lol...

Of all of those wrestlers who went to the WWE, how many of them have become stars? By my count, its 2.

True, true, most dont become "superstars" IE HHH status, but most do go on to be pretty successful lol.
