You weigh the short vs. long term in terms of feedback. In the short term, kids are gonna be like "WTF I thought he was dead" and then when he explains it, like he did, they will usually buy it. In the long term, if you disrespect a guy who gave his life for the business, you will lose a lot more fans because the ones who stick with you will leave.

You are NEVER better off telling people its fake. If you come right out and say "This stuff is fake, there is no consequence to any action you see at all" no one will suspend their disbelief pretty much and then business would really go down. Most people WANT to believe its real. They WANT to suspend their disbelief, however if you slap them in the face and say "youre an idiot for trying to do so" which is what you do when you tell them its fake, they will stop watching.
