The world is talking after Tuesday's SmackDown... Edge is back! It's confirmed that Edge has been working intensely to get back in the ring following his retirement back in 2011. After seven years, Edge has been cleared by WWE medical staff and has signed on to compete at SummerSlam against Christian for the WWE Universal Championship. He will be recognized as a member of the SmackDown roster.

Notably, Emperor Roman Reigns was missing from this Monday's Raw. It's said he was dealing with an undisclosed medical issue but should be medically cleared to compete at Stomping Grounds. There's no expectation he won't be able to go on Sunday, seeing as WWE still advertised the match on Raw.

Luke Harper's losing streak was brought to everyone's attention on Raw this past Monday. Apparently, there are big plans in store for Luke Harper's future, but he'll be taking some time off from the ring for that foreseeable future. This might give WWE time to repackage Luke Harper. The same happened for Viktor, who was repackaged and recently reappeared again as the leader of The Fallen.

The impostor Kane was revealed to be "Judas." He was formerly known as Judas Devlin in his previous stint with the company, but it appears with Jordan Devlin on the roster, he will not be using his last name. Real-life name Austin Matelson has also wrestled for Lucha Underground under the ring name Luchasaurus.

The Fallen now has four revealed members: Viktor, Aleister Black, Damien Priest, and Judas. As of now, these four are considered the full faction. It's unknown if they will add or subtract from the group in the coming months.

Leaked reports suggest Daniel Bryan was supposed to be involved with Triple H somehow at SummerSlam. With the injury sustained at The Great American Bash, those plans have obviously changed. It's unclear whether Bryan has new plans, or if he's simply in the shuffle right now. Daniel Bryan wrestles The Miz this Tuesday on SmackDown.

WWE is excited for 205 Live's debut on the WWE Network this week. After months immersed in the tournament and signing cruiserweights to full-time WWE contracts, there is a good vibe backstage. It appears majority of the roster is finalized. With that said, you can always expect Vince McMahon to sign some cruiserweights to join NXT or the main roster (ie. Jordan Devlin) or make a big splash in free agency. Two big cruiserweight names, Kota Ibushi and Will Ospreay, remain unsigned to WWE and you can imagine Vince wants these two badly.

Speaking of 205 Live, Vic Joseph announced he will be the play-by-play announcer for 205 Live alongside his broadcast colleague The Brian Kendrick.

KICKOFF SHOW -

Breaking news settles in that Emperor Roman Reigns is not at tonight's show and has been pulled from the much anticipated match with Baron Corbin. The co-main event won't be on the show any longer, but Michael Cole announces JBL will announce a replacement.

Bobby Lashley(c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States Championship
Lashley and Nakamura have about a 12-minute match on the kickoff show, and while Nakamura introduces the champion to Strong Style, Lashley throws Nakamura around and finishes him off with a Spear that turns Nakamura inside out.

Charly Caruso interviews Baron Corbin about his match against Emperor Roman Reigns getting canceled. Corbin says he hasn't heard a reason why, but once he can get his hands on Reigns, he'll make him pay. Corbin says he wants to fight tonight and whoever JBL puts in his path, he will make an example of them.

JULY 22, 2018 ~ STOMPING GROUNDS (presented by RAW)
Kansas City, Missouri

Stomping Grounds kicks off tonight with Paul Heyman and Michael Cole upset about the cancelation of Baron Corbin versus Emperor Roman Reigns, but interested to see who the replacement for Reigns will be. They highlight the rest of the card tonight, but up first, the WWE Trios Championships match.

The New Day(c) vs. Matt Hardy and The Usos for the WWE Trios Championships
This match was only missing one man for a fan's complete dream, but it was The Usos dream to team with their childhood hero Matt Hardy. Each six guys had a chance to shine and after several key spots in the match like a Twist of Fate by Xavier Woods on Matt Hardy, an Unicorn Stampede by both sides, and a Leg Drop-Swanton Bomb combo by Hardy and Jey Uso. Safe to say, the opener claimed "fight forever" chants. Towards the end, Matt Hardy and Xavier Woods make the hot tags to Kingston and Jey Uso. Kofi and Jey go back and forth before Kofi hits an S.o.S. and goes for the pin, but Jimmy Uso breaks it up. Big E runs in and attacks Jimmy, throwing him outside the ring. Matt Hardy runs in and takes out the knee of Big E, before Xavier Woods comes in and tackles Matt to the floor. Kofi gets ready for a Trouble in Paradise, but Jimmy Uso comes back and hits a Superkick. Jimmy wakes Jey up and the two head up top for a Double Uce Splash, but Big E breaks it up. Big E and Jimmy Uso battle before Big E ducks a Superkick and tosses Jimmy over the top rope, but Jimmy holds on! Big E knows it's time and hits a running Spear to the outside! Jey gets Kofi up and tries a Samoan Drop, which Kofi counters into a crucifix pin, which Jey barely makes it out. Kofi gets up and hits a Trouble in Paradise! Kofi goes to pin Jey but he's grabbed by the tights and thrown into the ringpost shoulder-first by Matt Hardy, who pulls him out and tries hitting a Twist of Fate but is pushed into Xavier Woods who tries a rolling cutter, but Matt hoists Woods up and throws him back-first onto the apron! Kofi runs at Matt and is caught with the Side Effect! Jey Uso crawls to the corner and Matt gets on the apron to officially make the tag. Hardy stalks Kingston, but as he goes for the Twist of Fate, Kingston avoids it a second time and is pushed into a Big Ending! Big E quickly signals to Kingston to go up and the two New Day members hit a Midnight Hour on Matt Hardy and Kofi makes the cover... one, two, three!

The fans rise to their feet after The New Day emerge victorious. Matt lays defeated on the mat and The Usos gather on the outside as The New Day celebrate with the titles. As the celebration draws to an end, The New Day help Matt Hardy up and The Usos get in the ring. The six men shake hands in a sign of good sportsmanship and are given a standing ovation from the crowd, knowing they've seen a once-in-a-lifetime match.

Charly Caruso interviews JBL about the cancellation of Corbin/Reigns tonight. JBL says he's disappointed like the rest of the WWE Universe and he promises to deliver the match at a later date. However, the show must go on, and says he will find a replacement for Baron Corbin tonight.

Becky Lynch vs. Rubi Riot in a Street Fight
Lynch and Riot went off on each other. Rubi trying to make a name for herself and Lynch trying to avenge Rubi's involvement in the Women's Championship picture. Lynch appears to have broken her nose early on in the match with a nasty knee from Rubi. Towards the end, Rubi tried for a Riot Kick but got caught in a Dis-arm-her. Rubi tries to escape, but Becky uses a steel chair to wrap Rubi's arm in and after applying the pressure, Rubi taps out.

Becky Lynch's music hits and the official tries to hand her a towel for her bloody nose, but she tosses it aside and celebrates her victory with a roar of the crowd.

Charly Caruso stands by with Baron Corbin asking about Emperor Roman Reigns not being here. Corbin says he will meet Reigns one day soon and whoever decides to take his place will instantly regret doing so tonight.

The screen goes dark in anticipation for the next match. Viktor walks out, followed by Aleister Black and Damian Priest acting as two druids. They hold the torches out and Viktor, with the urn, leads out Judas wearing a Kane mask. Once they reach the ring, Judas takes the Kane mask off to reveal his face, the same seen on this Monday's Raw, as he gets ready to face the real Kane.

Kane vs. Judas w/The Fallen
It's evident to everyone in the arena the eras are clashing. Judas moves around the ring so fluid and is the next generation, according to Paul Heyman on commentary, and we see Judas finish Kane off in just under 7 minutes, with a Chokeslam, a signature move from Kane in his career.

The Fallen enter the ring to stand tall with Judas, over the body of Kane, as Viktor symbolically kneels next to Kane with the urn in hand.

Charly Caruso asks Becky Lynch what's next after her win over Rubi Riot tonight, and Lynch immediately says the Women's Championship. Charly Caruso reminds Lynch the match is next, and Becky decides to go get a front row seat. Lynch's music hits and she picks up a steel chair and sets it in front of the barricade to watch next. Passing by, both Mickie James and champion Paige acknowledge her.

Paige(c) vs. Mickie James for the WWE Women's Championship
Various times throughout the match, both James and Paige lock eyes with Becky Lynch. The crowd popped when Paige threw Mickie into the barricade right beside Becky, and Becky responds by standing up and getting in the champion's face. Later in the match, Paige had tried a superplex, but it was blocked and Mickie pushes Paige off into the ring and instead, Mickie hits a Thesz Press off the top rope! Mickie almost gets Paige for three, but the champion kicks out!

Mickie isn't sure what to do and gets to her feet and waits for a Chick Kick, but as she goes for it, Paige hits a chop block on Mickie and counters in a Paige Turner! Paige goes for the cover but Mickie kicks out. Becky gets out of her chair and begins stirring around the ring as Paige tries to get Mickie in a PTO, but Mickie rolls into a small package, but Paige counters and successfully locks in the PTO! Mickie has nowhere to go and officially taps.

Paige's music hits and before she can be handed the Women's Championship by the official, Becky Lynch is there in the ring to meet her. Becky makes it clear she wants to be next in line after beating Rubi Riot in the Street Fight earlier tonight.

A split-screen shows Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes preparing for their main event tonight. Kevin Owens is taping up the wrists while Cody is getting some stretches in. The screen moves to full-picture on the champion that's interrupted by Charly Caruso. Caruso asks about Kevin's final thoughts leading into tonight. Owens tells Caruso she has no permission to talk to him before a big match, and as Caruso goes to leave, Owens pulls her back and says this isn't a big match. Owens says this is just another Sunday for him. Owens says he faces Cody Rhodes, who he's beat before, and Cody will always be the third-favorite son behind Goldust and Kevin Owens himself.

Back in the ring, the lights are out... A guitar strums... Elias Samson is back! Elias says he wants everyone to know he has been smitten by someone, and her name is Scarlett. Scarlett makes her way to the ring, the same woman we've seen with Elias in recent memory. Elias begins by saying he wants to perform a song for Scarlett, but JBL stops him. Raw's General Manager reminds Elias he wasn't brought in the ring to perform a song, but to be this man's opponent... BARON CORBIN's music hits! Corbin doesn't look happy as he doesn't even ride his bike out, he's pissed about Emperor Roman Reigns not appearing tonight and makes a beeline to the ring. Elias gets the ring clear of his guitar and his girl for the match.

Baron Corbin vs. Elias Samson w/Scarlett
Corbin makes quick work of Elias Samson. Heyman makes it clear that Corbin was prepared for Emperor Roman Reigns, a world-class talent, and Elias Samson was prepared to sing. Corbin finishes off Elias in under 4 minutes, in a flashback to his NXT days, and wins with an End of Days.

Baron Corbin pops up, showing signs of discontentment for his match tonight and leaves as Scarlett looks a tad concerned for Elias Samson, being there as he slowly rolls out of the ring.

A SummerSlam vignette airs, all by the poolside in a backyard. Becky Lynch, Paige, Bella Twins, Charlotte, Tessa Blanchard, Jason Jordan, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Bobby Lashley, Rusev, Cody Rhodes, and Kevin Owens all make cameos as playing with a beach ball, Owens and Ambrose arguing over the grill, etc. The beach ball hits Rusev in the head and all hell breaks loose in the pool... SUMMERSLAM - AUGUST 19 - BROOKLYN, NY.

After the vignette, Paul Heyman and Michael Cole mention the WWE Universal Championship match: Christian defending against the returning Edge! Edge hasn't wrestled since he was forced to retire with a neck injury in 2011. They question who will enter SummerSlam as the WWE Champion for Raw... Kevin Owens or Cody Rhodes.

A video package airs with young childhood photos of Cody Rhodes with his father Dusty and brother Dustin, better known as Goldust. Cody Rhodes growing up, imagining being world champion one day, a title that eluded his father and brother. Next, is a picture of Kevin Owens with Dusty Rhodes. Owens having NXT success as champion, winning the Money in the Bank, and cashing in at No Mercy to get the WWE Championship to Raw. A few weeks in the lead-up to this match, as we recall Kevin Owens originally beating Cody Rhodes at Backlash, but Cody avenging later on a SmackDown episode. The match is all set up because of Cody's Elimination Chamber victory last month at Extreme Rules. Owens and Rhodes have exchanged some harsh words over the last few weeks, especially with Owens playing on Dusty and his legacy. Now it all comes to a head.

Kevin Owens(c) vs. Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship
Kevin Owens comes to the ring last. He enters very nonchalant in an American Dream t-shirt but Cody wastes no time, as soon as Owens steps through the ropes, jumping on the champion and starting the match prematurely. Cody throws Owens around ringside and keeps breaking up the counts to inflict as much pain on Owens as possible.

The match begins to even out and it's constant back and forth. Every opportunity Owens has, he milks the Dusty story in-between moves. Calling Cody a failure, the black horse of the family, and KO self-proclaiming himself as Dusty's favorite. Each time, Cody responds with a jolt of energy attacking Owens.

As the match draws to a close, Kevin Owens has Cody on the ground after an Avalanche Swinging Fisherman's Buster. Kevin Owens continues his taunts on Cody, nudging his opponent with his foot. Owens calls Rhodes pathetic and says Dusty would be disappointed, as he spits in Cody's face. The expression changes and Cody gets to his feet and gets nose-to-nose with Owens, backing him up and then throwing blows. Rhodes goes off and gets fired up, hitting a snap powerslam. Rhodes grabs Owens for a Cross-Rhodes but Owens counters into a Go Home Driver. The champion hooks the leg, but only gets two! Owens decides to do a jive, mimicking Cody's late father again this match. Owens gets Cody to his feet and he begins punching Cody, and he winds up for the Bionic Elbow, but Cody eludes it and hits a Cross-Rhodes! Rhodes goes straight for the cover but Owens' momentum carries the champion outside the ring! Not believing it, Cody sits exhausted on the mat.

Cody Rhodes goes outside to get Owens and he throws the champion back in. Rhodes gets up on the top rope and hits a moonsault on a vertical Owens! Rhodes hooks the leg, but Owens kicks out at two again! Rhodes catches his breath and decides it's time for the Disaster Kick. Measuring Owens up, he waits til the champion makes it to his feet before hopping on the ropes and going for the Disaster Kick, but Owens pulls the official in the way! Mike Chioda's down! Cody can't believe it as he checks in on the official. Owens quickly goes over to the corner. Rhodes decides to pop up and go on the attack, leaping into the corner for a Stinger Splash, but Owens moves and Cody HITS THE EXPOSED TURNBUCKLE! Cody stumbles back and Owens throws Rhodes in the air for a Pop-up Powerbomb! Owens nudges the official and covers Cody Rhodes, and the official lackadaisically counts three before ringing the bell.

The crowd is shocked as Kevin Owens hears his music played throughout the arena. Owens rolls out of the ring, snatches his WWE Championship away from the timekeeper area, and decides to stand on the Spanish announce table with the title in hand. Replay shows various highlights from the match, including a first-seen view of Owens exposing the turnbuckle while Rhodes checked on the official. After the replay, Kevin Owens has made it to the ramp where he proudly hoists the WWE Championship above his head while Stomping Grounds fades to black.

JULY 23 2018 ~ MONDAY NIGHT RAW
Cincinnati, Ohio

Monday Night Raw starts with WWE Champion Kevin Owens to come and gloat about his win last night over Cody Rhodes, after the opening package showed exactly how Owens did so. After his sleazy win, Owens makes the comment he proved himself right to the entire WWE Universe: Cody was a disappointment to Dusty. Owens says he would be a better son to Dusty, and would change his last name to Rhodes, but he'd be cursed to never hold the WWE Championship. Owens continues and gets interrupted by Cody Rhodes who makes a bee-line for Owens and the champion quickly gets out of dodge. As he backpedals up the ramp, Owens tells Rhodes he is finished with him and has made it clear that Rhodes will NEVER be WWE Champion, and he'll be awaiting his new challenger.

Michael Cole and Paul Heyman advertise tonight's episode, that includes The Fallen's funeral for Kane after his loss last night at Stomping Grounds. Plus, Asuka goes one-on-one with Nikki Bella.

Backstage, Matt Hardy approaches The Usos and mention how proud he was of them last night in their efforts to gain the WWE Trios Championships. The Usos say it was a pleasure before The New Day approach. The New Day mentions it was a huge part of their childhood watching the Hardy Boyz and idolizing them. The New Day mention they have had their fair share with The Usos, and it's respect all around as they all display sportsmanship for the viewers at home.

Finn Balor w/Jordan Devlin vs. Murphy
Finn Balor has his protege at ringside for this classic with Murphy. Showing both men can go, the fans raise their feet on several occasions of near-falls and garner "fight forever" chants. After nearly 20 minutes of action, Balor counters Murphy's Law into a 1916, as he quickly scales up the top for a Coup de Grace and wins the match!

After the match, Balor and Devlin are celebrating when Murphy gets to his feet. Murphy and Balor shake hands before Shelton Benjamin's music hits. Benjamin has a mic in hand, ring gear on, and talks his way down the ramp, passing Murphy on the way. Benjamin says he took people under his wing, Tashard Wiggins and Dezmond Xavier, and it didn't work. Benjamin says they took way more than he was going to give, they were never satisfied. Benjamin says they wanted his spot, and now they're nowhere to be seen. Benjamin says he won't be stepping aside for anyone else, challenging Devlin to a match right now. Devlin quickly accepts and Benjamin gives a cheap shot to Balor before Devlin covers up his mentor ahead of the match.

Jordan Devlin w/Finn Balor vs. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton Benjamin is trying to teach Jordan Devlin a lesson, showing he can still go, but uses his power advantage over Devlin, who is just quicker at this stage of their respective careers. Benjamin goes for a T-Bone Suplex, but it's blocked and countered into Ireland's Call that gives Devlin the big win!

After the match, Finn Balor steps in the ring and celebrates with his protege a big win on Monday Night Raw against the veteran Shelton Benjamin.

Women's Champion Paige is walking through the parking lot, arriving 24 hours after she successfully defended her title against Mickie James. Charly Caruso stops her and asks about Becky Lynch making her intentions known last night after her match. Paige tells Charly she feels it was disrespectful to take away from her moment last night. Now she's 24 hours removed from her match, she will be waiting for Becky Lynch in the ring tonight. Paige begins to walk away before she's attacked from behind with a lead pipe... it's Rubi Riot! Riot is laying into the champion and after bystanders and producers run over to protect the champion, Rubi Riot steps away twirling her lead pipe with pride.

Set up in the ring, is the funeral service for Kane. Posters displaying pictures of Kane when he debuted at Badd Blood 1997, picture of his unmasking in 2003, and a picture of him with The Undertaker circa-2010 are all displayed. The Fallen come to the ring dressed in black, with Viktor at the center holding the symbolic urn.

Viktor: "We're gathered here today to say goodbye to your childhood hero, once known as the Devil's Favorite Demon. He lived a long career. From his early years as an unsuccessful dentist, to being the long-lost-forgotten younger brother to a mortician, to being burned alive, to this past Sunday where he saw his final demise. We pay tribute to the monster turned mortal, Kane."

Aleister Black, Damian Priest, and Judas all briefly shared their favorite memories of Kane. Aleister Black was Kane losing not once, but twice, to The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Damian Priest was Kane being rejected by Lita and realizing it would be better to give up on true love. Judas, of course, mentioned defeating Kane last night with a chokeslam, which garnered a lot of boos.

Viktor: "Kane, all you ever wanted to do was fit in. You removed your mask to try to be accepted. You really wanted to become one of them. *disgustingly points to the crowd* You really believed all your problems would go away. But people didn't accept you, so you put on a new mask, and people didn't accept you then. Then you became a part of the real world in Knoxville. Lesson learned: nobody wants you here. Stay away. Stay dead. Stay buried. The legacy of your family is finished. The Undertaker accepted his fate, and so should you.

"You've come into contact with a real Evolution. You thought the reign of terror was bad? Last night, you witnessed and felt the next stage. You are an outdated species. You are extinct. What you see in front of you is the next stage of the evolution. The evolution of big men, the evolution of darkness, and the evolution of this business. What stands before you is everyone's worst nightmare... and it's just begun. Now that I possess the power of the second-most sadistic family in WWE history, *raises the urn* I can introduce everyone to the most sadistic."

"Glenn, don't take this personally. You were only collateral damage for our next step. You were only the beginning. Now, The Fallen will rise."

Judas decides to set the turnbuckles on fire with the pyro as Viktor laughs uncontrollably before The Fallen exit the ring. Michael Cole asks what's next, but Heyman says everyone should be afraid to find out.

WWE Champion Kevin Owens is hustling to the parking lot with bags in hand and John Bradshaw Layfield stops him. JBL asks where Owens is going, when he responds he's fulfilled his contractual obligations and he's going home to Canada for the rest of the week to get out of the hell-hole known as Cincinnati. Fans watching on the tron boo the champion. JBL says he doesn't like Cincinnati more than the next guy, but certainly not Kevin's opponent tonight. Kevin Owens is confused, when JBL explains he made a deal with SmackDown GM Kurt Angle to acquire the services of one of his superstars for one night... Cincinnati's own Dean Ambrose! The place goes wild, all except for Owens, as he says that's not fair and Ambrose is on SmackDown. JBL says he paid a lot of money for Ambrose's services for one night, so he suggests Owens turn around and get dressed to compete.

Ortiz & Santana vs. The Usos
Ortiz and Santana come to the ring without Alberto Del Rio, as a rift still seems to exist. The two teams tear it down, rivaling the match between Murphy and Balor earlier tonight when Alberto Del Rio decides to finally come down as Ortiz and Santana are setting up for the Street Sweeper. Ortiz freezes on the top rope and Santana tries shouting for Del Rio to leave, when The Usos recover and hit a Double Superkick on Santana. Ortiz leaps from the top rope and gets a superkick from Jimmy Uso, before the Usos go up and hit a Double Uce Splash. The Usos make the cover.

The Usos don't seem pleased with how they get the win, but will take it nonetheless. On the other hand, Alberto Del Rio seems the most pleased with the result as a sly smirk comes across his face before backing up to the curtain.

Nikki Bella is asked backstage by Charly Caruso about how Brie is doing, and Nikki reports that Brie is good and at home resting, preparing to be a mom. Nikki exclaims she can't wait to be an aunt! Caruso asks Nikki about her plans moving forward on Raw. Nikki says the goal is the same. She's a 4-time Divas Champion, and ever since Paige rebranded the title, she wants to become Women's Champion.

Elias Samson is in the ring with Scarlett, highly upset about his song for Scarlett being interrupted by Baron Corbin. Elias says Scarlett deserves this song sung to her and he'll do so now... when Dolph Ziggler interrupts for a scheduled match against Elias.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Elias Samson w/Scarlett
Elias starts the match frustrated with a second consecutive night being interrupted, but that anger turns to Ziggler getting the edge. Ziggler loves showing off and eventually makes his way outside the ring and begins flirting with Scarlett. A jealous Elias ambushes Ziggler from the side and throws him into the barricade. Elias turns his attention to Scarlett before he remembers he's in a match, only to turn into a Superkick! The superkick rocks Elias back until the ring stops his momentum, and Ziggler rolls him back inside. Dolph Ziggler measures up and hits the Zig-Zag and hooks the leg!

Dolph Ziggler celebrates a big win over Elias and blows a kiss toward Scarlett as he exits.

After a commercial break, Alberto Del Rio is walking when Ortiz and Santana confront him. Things get loud as people come to separate the two, assuring no physical contact. Santana speaks up and says they're done with Alberto, and the Aristocrat Cartel is over. And once again, Del Rio has a short lived trios team.

Back in the ring, the music associated with Women's Champion Paige hits. After a few moments, Rubi Riot comes out instead, laughing as she twirls her lead pipe. Rubi's music cuts off Paige's and she heads down to the ring. Rubi Riot gloats about taking out Paige earlier tonight and says that was a statement, not coming out and talking, but actually putting the champion on the floor. Paige's music hits and the champion does come out this time, to the dismay of Rubi Riot! Paige is limping towards the ring with crutches and Rubi Riot can smell blood... then Becky Lynch's music interrupts. Lynch comes down and stops beside Paige, before turning to the champion and Paige hands her a crutch. Lynch darts inside and swings the crutch until Rubi Riot ducks and darts out of the ring. Rubi Riot hops the barricade and Lynch is left on the second rope challenging Rubi Riot to step back in the ring. As this commotion goes on, Nikki Bella's music hits. Nikki Bella comes down and takes a close look at the Women's Championship around Paige's waist before getting in the ring for her match next.

Asuka vs. Nikki Bella
Asuka's in-ring strikes are tough for Nikki Bella to handle, but Nikki shows a new sign of aggression and physicality to match Asuka and finishes Asuka off with a Rack Attack.

After the match, Nikki Bella makes a point to get on the ropes and signal a championship around her waist - putting her name in the hunt for Paige's title as well.

The Usos are invited into JBL's office, curious as to what is happening. JBL mentions that Kurt Angle and himself struck a deal. Former WWE Universal Champion Dean Ambrose is moments away from competing on Raw for a one-time appearance. In return, Angle has asked for The Usos to come to SmackDown tomorrow night. The Usos ask what for, and JBL says they'll be making a one-time appearance on SmackDown to face The Revival. The Usos seem conflicted, but ready to show The Revival who the best tag team in WWE is.

Michael Cole and Paul Heyman react to The Revival versus The Usos on SmackDown, as Heyman's confident The Usos will represent Raw with justice as will Kevin Owens in moments against the blue brand's Dean Ambrose. For next week, signed is Rubi Riot against Nikki Bella after both made significant statements tonight. Plus, the United States Champion Bobby Lashley returns to face off against Finn Balor in a non-title encounter after Balor's win over Murphy earlier tonight. Michael Cole specifies if Balor beats Lashley, he will earn a title opportunity against the champion.

WWE Champion Kevin Owens comes to the ring and grabs a microphone immediately to say this is an outrage. 24 hours after defending his title against Cody Rhodes, now he has to face off against someone not even on the Raw roster? Owens tells the production truck not to hit Ambrose's music. Owens says Ambrose is not welcome, and then... SIERRA HOTEL INDIA ECHO LIMA DELTA... SHIELD! The Shield's music hits and Dean Ambrose comes out in his Shield attire. WHAT?! Ambrose rolls to the ring in his Shield gear for his match against Owens next.

Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose in a non-title match
This match threw the WWE Champion off his game. Ambrose, who won the WWE Championship, was going hard against the man he lost the title to on the same night, when Owens cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. The first encounter since that night at No Mercy and Ambrose is proving why he won the title in the first place. The match draws to a close and Owens has gotten control once more and tells Ambrose to go back to SmackDown, that he is the face of WWE, before stomping a mudhole in the corner. Owens goes for a cannonball and nails it! Owens pulls Ambrose to his feet and to the center for a Popup Powerbomb but Ambrose kicks into another gear and goes off on a series of comeback moves, including a rebound lariat. Ambrose is ready to hit a Dirty Deeds on Kevin Owens before he's tackled... by Seth Rollins?!

Seth Rollins from SmackDown is here! Rollins pounces on Ambrose and goes to town before Ambrose reverses it and starts raining down punches on Rollins. Kevin Owens then gets on Ambrose, which turns into a 2-on-1 assault. Rollins rips the Shield vest off Ambrose's body and throws it out of the ring. Owens and Rollins are stomping down on the Lunatic Fringe before Baron Corbin's music hits. Corbin's motorcycle revs up and he rolls around the ring before stopping, getting the attention of Rollins and Owens. Rollins takes his eyes off Corbin to look back at Ambrose who has gotten to his feet, and Ambrose chases Rollins through the crowd as Baron Corbin steps inside the ring. Kevin Owens doesn't want any piece of Corbin, so he rolls out of the ring, grabs his WWE Championship and begins walking backwards up the ramp when Cody Rhodes' music hits! Cody heads out and he's pissed about last night. Rhodes runs down and Owens, getting away from his nemesis, slides into the ring right into an End of Days by Corbin! Corbin stands tall over the WWE Champion and Cody stops at ringside and locks eyes with Baron Corbin. Cody sees the title on the ground, picks it up, and holds the title up high as Raw goes off the air.

JULY 24 2018 ~ TUESDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!
Evansville, Indiana

The ending of last week's show airs again with the moment Edge declaring himself cleared for in-ring action and the #1 contender to Christian's WWE Universal Championship. For the first time since those two words, "I'm cleared," were uttered Edge will speak to the WWE Universe tonight!

Seth Rollins starts tonight's show, and after a replay shows what Seth Rollins did to Ambrose 24 hours ago on Raw, he starts talking.

Rollins: "You want answers, huh? You want answers? I'm supposed to tell each of you WHY I took on Ambrose? Just WHY I cost him the WWE Universal Championship? Let's take a look, shall we?"

A video package of The Shield's dominance plays, reminding everyone of one of the more destructive forces in WWE history.

Rollins: "In case you have forgotten, The Shield ran through this place like a tornado. Whether it was Raw, SmackDown, WrestleMania, we took over. We did what we wanted, when we wanted, where we wanted. Why? We didn't have a reason why! But we had a main factor. We had a guy pushing the train along. We had an 'Architect.' We had a 'Visionary.' That was me!

"Do you know how hard it is to be the glue? I had to keep Roman Reigns tame and Dean Ambrose sane. I was the reason we had as much success as we did. If you lose 'The Architect' or lose the glue, you don't get The Shield. You know what you get? You get the chaos that ensues."

Rollins has a video package play of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose battling, a feud that culminates at this past year's WrestleMania.

Rollins: "Ambrose and Reigns could not and would not get along without me. It tore me apart to see the divide. So what does the glue do? He comes and tries to remind his brothers of who they are. And how does Dean Ambrose repay me?"

Rollins shows a stilled image of Ambrose hitting a Dirty Deeds on Seth Rollins at this year's WrestleMania through a cinderblock.

Rollins: "Is that good enough for you? Is that what you all wanted? THAT is your reason WHY! Dean Ambrose took away three months of my career. I'm in a hospital. I suffer a major injury and am taken away from what I love. The peace I try to bring just makes my life a living hell. So what now? No more! No more peacemaker. No more glue. Instead, this Architect has drew up the blueprint. How do I make Dean Ambrose's life a living hell?"

After a dramatic pause, Rollins takes a step back and laughs, explaining a good Architect never reveals his blueprint to the common folk. DEAN AMBROSE interrupts! The Lunatic Fringe's music hits and he runs for Rollins, who dips out of the arena. Ambrose chases Rollins through the crowd as SmackDown is forced to take a commercial break.

After the break, "during the break" footage shows Ambrose chasing Rollins through the parking lot until Rollins gets in a getaway car, leaving Ambrose in the dust. Tom Phillips and Corey Graves recall Seth Rollins attacking Dean Ambrose last night on Raw, but Ambrose will have to wait another day to get his revenge on Rollins for recent events. The commentary duo reminds fans of the deal struck between Kurt Angle and JBL, for Dean Ambrose to appear in his hometown of Cincinnati last night. But up next, the other end of the deal, as Raw tag team The Usos face The Revival.

The Revival come out first and say they take offense to Kurt Angle bringing The Usos to SmackDown. The Revival say the tag team division doesn't need anyone from Raw, let alone The Usos. The Revival remind everyone The Usos haven't held the WWE Tag Team Championships in almost a year, thanks to The Revival who beat them for those titles. Wilder and Dawson say they're getting the titles back, and if a win tonight is what it takes, that's what they'll do. Wilder insists Angle could've got a better bargain, suggesting SmackDown got cheated on the deal for Ambrose's services. The Revival start listing people Angle could've gotten to appear on SmackDown before they're interrupted by their opponents.

The Revival vs. The Usos
The Usos were determined to make The Revival eat their words, but a typical match with Dawson and Wilder has cut half the ring off. Jey watches on as his twin brother Jimmy is dissected by The Revival, until a hot tag turns the tide. Jey Uso goes off but is caught in a Shatter Machine! Dawson makes the cover but Jey gets his foot on the bottom rope and the official counts three, but Wilder moved the foot off the bottom rope before the official could see it!

The Revival's music hit as Jimmy Uso sees this from across the ring. Jimmy gets in the ring and pleads with the official, but it's too late, as The Revival steal a win in the opening match.

A video package shows Edge's retirement from 2011, and meshes it with the two words from last week "I'm cleared." Seven years out of the ring, Edge returns and is here in Indiana tonight.

Backstage, Cesaro is around and Sheamus walks up. Sheamus says he heard Cesaro has a match with Tye Dillinger tonight, but then takes up an issue with Cesaro coming to help him last week. Sheamus says he doesn't need, or want, Cesaro's help. The Swiss Superman responds by saying unlike Sheamus last week, he won't need the help tonight. Cesaro smirks and pats Sheamus on the chest before walking away.

Naomi vs. Peyton Royce
Less than three minutes into the match, Matrons Champion Charlotte attacks both women. Causing this match to be thrown out, Phillips can't comprehend why Charlotte is interrupting this match, laying both women out and finishing Naomi off with a Natural Selection.

Charlotte demands a microphone and says this division is hers and she demands to be on the show next week in a match. Charlotte says she'll even put her Matrons Championship on the line, when Tessa Blanchard responds to a pop. Charlotte quickly retracts the offer for Blanchard, saying she beat her for the title at The Great American Bash. Charlotte opens it up to the next person out the curtain, and it's Sasha Banks. Charlotte shakes her head and declines that as well, suggesting she's beaten Sasha plenty of times in their past... yet instead, Charlotte will take the week off next week.

Kurt Angle thanks The Usos for their appearance tonight, and while he can't change the official's decision, they had a great effort. The Usos say they want another chance at The Revival, and one day, they'll be champions again soon. As The Usos leave, another person walks in... Zelina Vega from NXT. Angle asks how he may help, where Vega suggests he already knows how.

Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz
Sami Zayn is with the commentary team, and when interrogated about the Boogeyman's appearance last week, Zayn says he has nothing to do with it. Moments into the match, The Miz finds himself outside the ring and eludes a suicide dive from Bryan who hits hard on the barricade. The Miz decides to smack-talk Sami Zayn, getting his face, before THE BOOGEYMAN's music hits again! The lights dim and The Miz looks all around the ringside area, including the entrance way. Smoke emerges from underneath the ring and after a moment, The Miz looks underneath the ring until he realizes the official's count... the bell rings!

The Miz has lost by count-out. Daniel Bryan had slid back in and The Miz is irate. The Miz goes over to fuss at Zayn, but Bryan still wants to fight and successfully hits a suicide dive on The Miz. Bryan hammers some fists in as the official and Sami Zayn pulls him apart. Bryan takes a shot at Zayn, which sets those two off, and they fight. They continue up the ramp and as Bryan punches Zayn, he stumbles to the back. Bryan goes to follow him when the Boogeyman's music hits again and Boogeyman appears in Daniel Bryan's way. Clock in one hand, his staff in another, and Daniel Bryan isn't sure how to react as the officials couldn't pry them apart, but the Boogeyman has.

Intercontinental Champion Jason Jordan is stretching, ready for his first title defense since winning the title last week against Neville. John Cena runs up to Jordan backstage and asks his mental state headed in. Jordan says he's ready and excited. Cena assures Jordan he'll be ringside, but only because of Bray Wyatt.

Cesaro vs. Tye Dillinger w/Tyler Breeze
Cesaro is handling his own, but it's on three separate occasions that Breeze's involvement has helped keep Dillinger in the match. Yet, it's when Cesaro finishes the Superman Swing on Dillinger that things catch up to him. Dillinger tries getting up, failing to get his balance, and pulls the official down with him as Tyler Breeze knocks Cesaro in the back with his selfie stick. Cesaro stumbles and Dillinger quickly gets a small package on Cesaro, but Cesaro kicks out. Cesaro gets up and after dodging a couple lariats by Dillinger, he hits a Very European Uppercut! Cesaro has momentum back before he turns into a Superkick by Breeze and the bell rings.

Fans boo Tyler Breeze as he stomps away at Cesaro. Tye Dillinger gains his whereabouts and hands Tyler Breeze his selfie stick. Tyler Breeze takes a selfie as Tye Dillinger locks Cesaro in a Sharpshooter, a move he adopted from former partner Tyson Kidd. Dillinger keeps wrenching in when the fans chant for Sheamus, but the Celtic Warrior never shows as Cesaro is the victim of a 2-on-1 beatdown by the Maple Leaf Mafia.

A video package shows the highlights of Edge's career, including his time in the Brood, the Rated-R Superstar, and the Ultimate Opportunist, culminating in his final victory at WrestleMania 27 versus Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The video package wraps up with last week where Edge announced the infamous words, "I'm cleared," and this precedes tonight with Edge in Indiana to speak live!

Bray Wyatt shows up on the screen and explains Luke Harper's success, his own, and then there's Erick Rowan. Wyatt says Rowan is long overdue and he gets what's due tonight, as he wins the Intercontinental Championship from Jason Jordan. Wyatt tells Jordan he'll run back to his illegitimate fathers, John Cena and Kurt Angle... RUN!

Jason Jordan(c) w/John Cena vs. Erick Rowan w/Bray Wyatt for the Intercontinental Championship
While Cena has neutralized Wyatt's presence at ringside, the size difference is an issue for the champion. Erick Rowan isn't the most well-versed in the ring, so Jordan is outshining Rowan when he can get the big man on the ground. As the match draws to a close, Rowan looks in trouble after Jason Jordan got Rowan up for a German Suplex that shocked the crowd in attendance! Wyatt got on the apron and Cena finally went over to yell at Wyatt to get down. Jason Jordan is distracted by Wyatt, but at the right moment, dodges a charging Erick Rowan that instead collides with Wyatt. Cena catches Wyatt off the apron and decides to hit an AA through the announce table! Rowan is caught by Jordan and hits an AA of his own and retains the title!

Jason Jordan gets up holding his back but is handed the Intercontinental Championship he successfully won before Neville's music hit. The former champion walks out to the ramp to announce he gets a rematch and will see Jason Jordan at SummerSlam.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves recap a big night for SmackDown, including a title retention by Jordan and a special appearance by Raw tag team The Usos. At SummerSlam, it's confirmed Jason Jordan will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Neville. But the Matrons Championship will also be defended! From Kurt Angle's office, next week Tessa Blanchard faces Sasha Banks to determine the #1 contender for Charlotte's title. Corey Graves then shows a tweet from The Miz, saying after recent events, he's inviting Sami Zayn to MizTV next week!

The moment everyone's been waiting for... EDGE! Edge's music hits and the place erupts. Edge walks out in street clothes and is more hype than anyone. After moments of just standing in the ring and hearing chants ranging from "Welcome back" to "Thank you Edge" to "You deserve it," Edge tries not to get choked up but finally has a chance to speak.

Edge: "Seven years ago, I was forced to give up my love. I had to give up my life. I had to retire from the WWE."

Fans continue chanting, but Edge asks them to let him have this time.

Edge: "Seven years ago, I was at the top of my game. I was the Rated-R Superstar. I was the Ultimate Opportunist. Hell, I was World Heavyweight Champion.

"After successfully defending the title at WrestleMania, it seems it wouldn't matter. Because just eight days later, I had to give it all up. I didn't lose the title. I didn't lose a match with my career on the line. But I lost everything.

"Seven years go by, it seems I've missed a lot. First, the World Heavyweight Championship isn't here. The Universal Championship is the richest prize on SmackDown. The guy from The Ascension is trying to resurrect the Brood, trying to resurrect Kane. Kurt Angle and Sharmell might have got it on and made an Intercontinental Champion. But it's great to see the Boogeyman still exists.

"To be serious for a second, I go back to the championship. I had to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship when I retired. I left at the top. I won the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup, and I retired. You would think there would be some contentment. From a guy who was born in a town in Ontario called Orangeville, to go out on top would be a dream come true... but is it? On that day, I di-"

The fans begin shouting out the lyrics of Edge's theme song, but that's not where he was going with it. Edge can't help but chuckle before he gathers himself.

Edge: "On that day, I didn't feel like a winner. I didn't feel content. I didn't feel like I was on top. I felt robbed. I felt, no, I KNEW I had more in the tank.

"Fast forward, seven years later. You know, seven years is a long time. I've had surgeries on my neck. I've had more procedures than what's normal for a man. But the real healer is time. Over seven years, I've sat back and watched. But I've also hit the gym. I've trained. I've got myself into the best shape of my life. Only to knock on the doctor's door one more time. That day, I left with a different story.

"I'm cleared."

"And now, I get to write the rest of my story. It's not over yet. It will be on my terms.

"That brings me to where I left off. I left the business on top, and quite frankly, I belong on top. The World Heavyweight Championship isn't around anymore, so I set my sights on adding a new title to my collection: the WWE Universal Championship.

"So the man... Christian. Captain Charisma. My best friend. I didn't come back to make this personal. I know you're still the same guy you were 30 years ago when we dreamed of being here. I know deep down you're still my best friend. You're still my brother.

"But Jay, you made a grave mistake. You know me, so you know the buttons to push to get under my skin. But what you forgot was what button you should never push.... NEVER talk about my family.

"I'm not fighting for myself. I'm not fighting for the WWE Universal Championship. I'm fighting for my family. I want my girls to see their dad fight back and win. At SummerSlam, they'll see just that as they hear 'AND NEW.'

Edge drops the mic and his music hits as he takes his moment in the ring, celebrating his return to the ring as his WWE Universal Championship match with Christian looms at SummerSlam before SmackDown fades to black.

NXT Updates (Wednesday):

nxt_north_american_championship_png_by_darkvoidpictures_dc8cz6r-pre.png

For the last two weeks, William Regal has conducted a Round Robin tournament to crown an inaugural NXT North American Champion. The rules are re-explained again by the commentary team of Byron Saxton and Vic Joseph:
There are two pools of four competitors, eight total
Pool A: Wrestler 1, 2, 3, and 4
Pool B: Wrestler 5, 6, 7, and 8

Each wrestler in their designated pool wrestle each other once. Pinfall victories will count as 2 points, submission victories will count as 3. DQ/count-out victories will count as 1 point, while wrestlers who suffer DQ/count-out losses will lose 1 point. At NXT Takeover in Brooklyn next month, the wrestlers with the most points in their respective pool will compete to become the inaugural NXT North American Champion.

All eight men have qualified the last two weeks and the official scoring begins tonight.

Carmelo Hayes beat Josh "The Goods" Woods with a pinfall victory in the opener, earning 2 points.

Woods' partner Tom Lawlor faced off against Nick Aldis next and Aldis wins with the King's Lynn Cloverleaf, scoring 3 points.

Zelina Vega is standing backstage with Andrade "Cien" Almas and Andrade asks if Zelina's got him a spot on Raw, which she responds that he'll have to wait. Andrade's upset, and it gets worse when William Regal stops by and breaks the news that Andrade's time in NXT isn't over, because he competes against Keith Lee at Takeover.

Dijak hits Dave Finley with the Feast Your Eyes in under 3 minutes and takes 2 points in the Round Robin tournament, beating Finley in quick and dominant fashion.

After seeing Sonya Deville tap out Lakyn Machisma with the rear naked choke, The Clink recall Kairi Sane being pinned by Bianca Belair in six-woman tag action two weeks ago, and believes that means a title opportunity. Bianca says she wants a title opportunity, but Britt Baker respectfully says it'll be her and they argue back and forth before Sonya Deville breaks it up. Chelsea Green comes and says they haven't pinned her, and challenges any of them to a singles match next week, which Britt Baker accepts.

Chelsea Green is ready for her singles match against a member of The Clink and it's Bianca Belair. As Deville and Baker lurk the ring, they decide to jump in the match and the match is thrown out. Kairi Sane and Ember Moon come out and it's an even brawl, but The Clink get the upperhand. Britt Baker decides to hold the NXT Women's Championship high above her head, but Bianca Belair snatches it and parades it around, in which we're back to arguing like last week.

Rich Swann and Tommaso Ciampa go head-to-head and Ciampa hits Project Ciampa for 2 points in the standings.

Pete Dunne stands with NXT Tag Team Champions Cedric Alexander and Moose, issuing a challenge to The Industry next week. NXT Champion Adam Cole comes out with the Guerillas of Destiny and says there isn't anything to gain, so the match won't happen. Pete Dunne sweetens the deal, by saying if The Industry wins, he'll step away from the NXT Championship picture and leave The Industry alone... but if Dunne's team wins, he gets Cole in a rematch. Cole decides to gamble and accepts the challenge for next week's main event.

Round Robin tournament standings -
Aldis (3 points)
Hayes (2 points)
Dijak (2 points)
Ciampa (2 points)
Woods (0 points)
Lawlor (0 points)
Finley (0 points)
Swann (0 points)

A reminder:
205 Live debuts TOMORROW on a Thursday night, with the Cruiserweight Championship main event of champion Ace Austin defending against NXT's Zack Sabre Jr.

Other matches on the show:
Kip Sabian & Marty Scurll vs. Mansoor & Mustafa Ali
Tony Nese vs. Trey Miguel

And just added:
Kushida vs. Rohit Raju

JULY 26 2018 ~ 205 LIVE PREMIERE

The opening intro for 205 Live is exciting! In the ring, Chavo Guerrero is standing with the cruiserweights at the stage. Chavo announces how 205 Live will be different, rather than the weight division. Chavo announces that everyone begins with a clean slate and they'll begin tracking records tonight. The better the record, the likelier they'll be in title matches. Chavo then gets interrupted by Cruiserweight Champion Ace Austin. Ace says they aren't with a clean slate, saying everyone on the roster is beneath the champion. Chavo wishes Ace luck tonight against Zack Sabre Jr, or that won't be the case. Swerve Strickland interrupts, walking down and says after tonight's title match, he'll be next in line for the title. Of course, Sammy Guevara walks down to disagree and this begins the first match of 205 Live.

Sammy Guevara (0-0) vs. Swerve Strickland (0-0)
For the first match in 205 Live history, this was a good one to start on. A bunch of flips and eluding big moves, but it finishes with Strickland missing the Swerve Kick and Guevara catching him with a GTH and pinning Strickland after knocking him out cold.

After Guevara's big win, a video package airs for both Kushida and Rohit Raju, introducing them to the WWE Universe prior to their upcoming match.

Kushida (0-0) vs. Rohit Raju (0-0)
Rohit Raju tries disguising his tactics but the official is onto Rohit Raju, but Kushida turns around and does these tactics better behind the official's back, almost in a comedic way, before Kushida hits Back to the Future and defeats Raju.

Trey Miguel is backstage with Kayla Braxton who asks about what his goals are for 205 Live. Miguel says he tasted the Cruiserweight Championship in the finals a few weeks ago, but unfortunately fell short. He credits Ace Austin, but says he will be back. Tony Nese comes up, mocking Trey Miguel saying he'll never get back there because if records matter, he'll start 205 Live the same way he ended the tournament - ON HIS BACK!

Roderick Strong (0-0) vs. TJ Perkins (0-0)
It's a tough match by two strong-willed vets in the ring that will do anything to win, but it's the TJP Clutch that has Strong trapped in the center of the ring and forced to tap.

Afterwards, TJ Perkins got a sportsmanlike handshake from Roderick Strong before the one in defeat exited the ring.
A replay of what happened in the Cruiserweight Classic Finale airs, showing Sabian and Scurll cheating to defeat Mansoor and Ali. Now, we have a rematch.

Kip Sabian (0-0) and Marty Scurll (0-0) vs. Mansoor (0-0) and Mustafa Ali (0-0)
In the ways of old from three weeks ago, Scurll panics and tries taking the bottom turnbuckle cover off, but meets a drive-by dropkick to the face by Mustafa Ali. In the ring, Mansoor traps Sabian in an unique pinning position, tangling the legs and placing the weight on top of Sabian's shoulders where he can't escape for the pin.

Mansoor untangles himself and he runs up the ramp with Mustafa Ali, getting themselves a big win.

A video package airs for El Hijo del Fantasma, explaining the symbolism behind the lucha libre heritage of the mask, and the mask he wears in particular. Coming out of the package, The Brian Kendrick lets Vic Joseph know that El Hijo del Fantasma is going to be a big player on 205 Live.

Tony Nese (0-0) vs. Trey Miguel (0-0)
Tony Nese wanted nothing more than to get under the skin of Trey Miguel, but despite an impressive showcase of his innate talent, Miguel hit Nese with a Meteora and takes home the dub!

Backstage, Ace Austin is walking towards the curtain when he's stopped by former Cruiserweight Champion Dean Malenko. Malenko was last champion in 1998. Malenko gives Ace advice, saying he wish he was told 20 years ago not to believe in his own abilities. Ace Austin scoffs and shoves Dean Malenko against the wall and keeps walking past.

Ace Austin (0-0) vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (0-0) for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Zack Sabre Jr, who celebrated his 31st birthday a couple days ago, got a huge pop when he came to the ring. The same can not be said for Ace Austin's response from the crowd. The match is pretty even, with Ace Austin displaying his God-given talents but Sabre Jr. getting Ace trapped in some nifty holds. Towards the end, Sabre Jr tries the European Clutch and Ace gets out at 2, and he smoothly transitions to Hypernormalisation. Struggling to get out, Ace Austin finally manages to get to the ropes and collapse. Zack Sabre Jr. realizes it's his time and tries for the Zack Driver, but Ace pokes Sabre in the eye and quickly hits The Fold! Ace gets Sabre Jr to his back and hooks both legs.

Just as the 64-man Cruiserweight Classic tournament ends, is how the first episode of 205 Live ends. Ace Austin stands up and after the official hands the title off, Ace shoves him aside and gets to the corner and raises the title above his head. Ace goes to the opposite side of the ring and does the same before dropping to his knees in the ring and clutching his Cruiserweight Championship. Ace's celebration interrupted with.. Dinastia?! Dinastia is here! After Ace Austin defeats one NXT superstar, another shows up. Dinastia appears to have his sights set on the Cruiserweight Championship as the first ever 205 Live draws to a close.

>> There is growing concern about Emperor Roman Reigns missing Stomping Grounds and the following night's Raw. Nobody knows what's going on, but it would have to be serious for Reigns to miss a PPV match, especially one considered the co-main event.

>> Roman Reigns missing Raw had ripple effects of the show. Apparently, majority of the show had to be re-written. With Dean Ambrose being from Cincinnati, he was contacted the day before about appearing on Raw in the main event. As for The Usos and their involvement on SmackDown the night after, WWE might be trying to get The Usos involved with the tag team titles.

>> The Fallen holding a funeral for Kane appears to be their way of writing Kane off television, at least for the time being. Kane is seen more like an "as needed" part-time talent, considering his work in Knoxville politics.

>> Alberto Del Rio's faction The Aristocrat Cartel has once again broken up, leaving more tag teams and less trios on the Raw roster. There's speculation this split is only for a short period of time, and the trio can get back together. The other option is to bring up two trio teams: The Industry and The Street Profits. Both trio teams are prospects under the Raw brand.

>> With The Industry and Street Profits talking about moving up to Raw, there's a lot of talk about introducing a prospect for the blue brand as well. Andrade "Cien" Almas was teased with Zelina Vega's appearance on SmackDown this Tuesday, but Nick Aldis is also rumored to be called up following SummerSlam.

>> There was a positive response to 205 Live's debut on the WWE Network. WWE hopes this trend continues upward. One item they're using right now is a NXT~205 Live crossover with the use of Zack Sabre Jr. and now Dinastia. Using the crossover for the start of 205 Live will hopefully translate in viewership.

JULY 30 2018 ~ MONDAY NIGHT RAW
Miami, Florida

Monday Night Raw begins with Cody Rhodes, saying Kevin Owens cheated at Stomping Grounds and the goal is still clear: to make his father proud and win the WWE Championship, which Cody insists he'll do in the right way. Baron Corbin rides out on his bike and after standing across the ring from Cody, lets him know that SummerSlam is right around the corner and he's looking forward to becoming WWE Champion. Kevin Owens runs out, denying both men a chance. Owens says he's beaten Rhodes on several occasions, but Corbin's biggest win in recent memory was Elias. Owens demands he face a suitable opponent, someone who's actually won a world title before... then out comes Shinsuke Nakamura. The former 2-time WWE Universal Champion has his sights set on Owens as well. Owens denies Nakamura because he can't speak English before heading to the back. Corbin then decks Nakamura and Rhodes jumps on Corbin as we see a brawl end in an End of Days on Nakamura and a Disaster Kick on Corbin as Rhodes stands tall.

After the break, Kevin Owens is backstage and JBL informs him he's signed a triple threat match with Cody Rhodes, Baron Corbin, and Shinsuke Nakamura to main event tonight's Raw. The winner? Gets to wrestle Kevin Owens at SummerSlam.

Michael Cole and Paul Heyman hype tonight's show: Bobby Lashley versus Finn Balor, and Rubi Riot versus Nikki Bella. Plus, who can forget the massive triple threat just made!

Dolph Ziggler vs. Shelton Benjamin
Ziggler and Benjamin are having a mat classic, throwing it back to their collegiate wrestling days, when Ziggler begins to get control. Dolph goes for the Zig-Zag but he's pulled out of the ring and thrown into the steps... It's Elias Samson and the ref calls for the bell!

Elias Samson is stomping a mudhole in Ziggler before picking him up and tossing him between the barricade and the edge of the ring before tossing him inside. Before he hits Drift Away, Elias looks to the ramp where Scarlett stands by and nods. Elias goes for Drift Away but Ziggler wiggles out of Samson's grasp and rolls out the ring. Ziggler backs up the ramp and as he walks past Scarlett, he flashes a smile and blows a second kiss to Scarlett, infuriating Elias.

Backstage, Charly Caruso stops Women's Champion Paige walking by. Caruso asks about her thoughts between Rubi Riot and Nikki Bella, in which Paige says she feuded a lot with Nikki in her early days in WWE, plus she helped Rubi Riot get to this stage. Paige notices SummerSlam is in a few weeks and she needs an opponent, so she'll put the title on the line against whoever wins, per her decision.

Bobby Lashley vs. Finn Balor w/Jordan Devlin in a non-title match
Lashley almost shows enjoyment of throwing Finn Balor around, but Devlin doesn't enjoy watching. A moment Lashley tosses Balor into a barricade and Jordan Devlin decides to step in front as the tossing gets ridiculous. Lashley pushes Devlin to the side and goes on the attack of Finn Balor, but Balor strikes Lashley before hitting a drop-toe-hold into the steps. Balor rolls in the ring and the official's count is at 8. Lashley gets up and as he's trying to get up, Devlin was in perfect position to grab onto Lashley's ankles so he can't hit 10. The official rings the bell.

After the match, Bobby Lashley reaches under the ring and Jordan Devlin went underneath. He went after Finn Balor who rolls out of the ring as the United States Champion is irate. Lashley grabs the official by the shirt and decides to throw him through the ropes. Balor backs up with Devlin who finds himself out from under the ring and Balor asks what's up, not knowing why Lashley's upset.

The New Day are chilling backstage when the WWE Trios Champions are confronted by Alberto Del Rio. Xavier Woods makes a joke about Del Rio finding two new goons to face them, as if the first two trios worked for him. Del Rio blames The New Day for the last year of his career, and he's changing it now. He will be a singles star and demands respect. Big E steps up and says to earn his respect in a 1-on-1 match tonight. Del Rio's put on the spot and doesn't back down, even if he trembles with the idea of this impromptu match.

Nikki Bella vs. Rubi Riot in a #1 Contender's Match
Made a #1 contender's match by the champion herself, Paige joins Cole and Heyman on commentary for this match. Heyman's ripping Paige for putting herself in this position, while Paige says she wants to be at SummerSlam defending the most prestigious title on Raw. Nikki is giving a Rack Attack to Rubi Riot and after hitting it, Rubi rolls closer to the ropes and gets her foot on the bottom before the 3. Nikki's frustrated with herself and after composing herself, picks Rubi up and gets stunned with a Riot Kick! All of a sudden, someone jumps on Nikki Bella and attacks... it's Becky Lynch, and the official calls for the bell!

Rubi Riot awakens to Becky Lynch attacking Nikki Bella. After Becky gets off, the announcer declares Nikki Bella as the winner and the #1 contender. Rubi Riot flips and goes to attack Becky, but instead is caught in the Dis-arm-her. After the referee can't separate, Paige runs down and locks eyes with Lynch. Lynch lets go and taps the championship on Paige's shoulder saying it's only a matter of time before brushing the shoulder on her way out the ring.

JBL is in his office when a knock is on the door... in come The Usos. The Usos mention they appreciated the opportunity to wrestle on SmackDown last week, and they've got to thinking... they want and expect more out of their careers. JBL catches a drift and asks the cameraman to step out.

Matt Hardy vs. Murphy
In an odd face-versus-face match, for the first time ever, Matt Hardy goes against Murphy. Murphy's a step ahead athletically than Matt Hardy, even though Matt has the psychology. Matt hits the Twist of Fate and goes up top for a Leg Drop, but after having trouble finding his footing, Matt leaps for the Leg Drop and Murphy moves. Matt gets up holding his hamstring and Murphy hits Murphy's Law for the young gun to get the win.

After the match, Murphy helps his fallen opponent up and shakes his hand, thanking him for a good match.

Elias Samson, upset with what happened earlier with Dolph Ziggler, storms the hall until he approaches Rusev with Lana. Elias puts in Rusev's head that what Dolph Ziggler is doing with Scarlett, he'll go for Lana next. Rusev isn't fond of the idea, when Elias suggests Rusev take on Ziggler next week.

The Fallen cut a vignette with Viktor speaking over the grave of the fallen Kane. Viktor reminds everyone the Big Red Monster was only a formality of what's to come.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Big E
Del Rio fights with a chip on his shoulder and Big E is taking this very lightly. Towards the end, Del Rio spits in Big E's face to get Big E going again and Big E goes off and hits Del Rio with the Big Ending to take the dub.

As Big E celebrates, his attention is brought to the titantron where Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are laid out. Big E rushes to the back to check on his brothers and fellow WWE Trios Champions with more questions than answers.

Michael Cole and Paul Heyman hype up next week's Raw that includes Rusev facing Dolph Ziggler. Becky Lynch is also in action against the new #1 contender Nikki Bella. But up next, as announced earlier today, Emperor Roman Reigns is scheduled to speak.

Emperor Roman Reigns heads out in street clothes. Reigns breaks kayfabe to let everyone know he has been re-diagnosed with leukemia. He apologizes for missing Stomping Grounds, and fans will receive that match later down the line once he beats cancer. Fans instantly applaud for Reigns as he goes home to fight cancer. The motorcycle revs and Baron Corbin rides out. Standing across from Reigns, Corbin extends his hand and gives Reigns a big hug as Reigns exits and we get ready for our main event.

Baron Corbin vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a #1 Contender's Match
WWE Champion Kevin Owens joins Cole and Heyman on commentary, taking a shot at Paige's comment from earlier. Owens claims the WWE Championship will always be more significant than any women's title in any sport. Corbin, Rhodes, and Nakamura all have their moments but the match draws to a close as they begin pulling out their big moves. At the end, Nakamura hits the inverted exploder suplex to set up the Kinshasa. However, Nakamura pulls up and gets hit with an End of Days by Baron Corbin! Corbin takes a split second to scoot over and hook the leg, and the official smacks both hands on the mat.

No music plays. Heyman, Cole, and WWE Champion Kevin Owens are all trying to figure out what's going on as the official talks to the ring announcer. Eden declares that Nakamura's shoulders were down but both Cody Rhodes and Baron Corbin pinned Shinsuke Nakamura and won this match. Owens is flipping out as the camera shows, just as Corbin was hooking the leg, Rhodes reached his hand over Nakamura's chest, resulting in a double pin.

After the match, WWE Champion Kevin Owens is livid and Baron Corbin is upset also, while Cody Rhodes and the rest of the WWE Universe is confused as Raw goes off the air with JBL walking down and gathering information from the official.

JULY 31 2018 ~ TUESDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!
Tampa, Florida

SmackDown starts with Dean Ambrose heading down and after wishing well to Roman Reigns, he gets down to business by saying he knows Seth Rollins is too scared to fight him. Ambrose admits he's in a fighting mood, so he's challenging anyone in the back to a match right now! Bray Wyatt appears on the screen and fans pop for a potential Ambrose/Wyatt match with their chemistry, but Wyatt says Erick Rowan has some redeeming to do after falling short in his Intercontinental Championship match last week. Wyatt says it'll either be redemption or his punishment.

Dean Ambrose vs. Erick Rowan w/Bray Wyatt
Ambrose was giving it all to Rowan as Wyatt looked upset and disappointed. Ambrose just hit a suicide dive out on Rowan and he rolls Rowan in the ring before... Seth Rollins' music hits! Ambrose gets distracted, waiting for Seth to appear, but he notices the ref's count at 8 and rolls back in. Ambrose gets caught in a Mandible Claw, ready for the slam, but Ambrose kicks Rowan in the gut and hits Dirty Deeds instead to still win!

Bray Wyatt throws his fedora down in embarrassment as Ambrose pops up and still wins. Ambrose gets the microphone and tells Rollins "nice try" but he'll find Rollins tonight and the Architect will regret it. Ambrose storms to the back as Wyatt waits for Rowan to roll out of the ring.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves rundown the show for tonight: Sasha Banks versus Tessa Blanchard in the #1 contender's match. The Miz hosts MizTV with guest Sami Zayn. WWE Universal Champion Christian responds to Edge's comments last week! But up next, former Intercontinental Champions collide when Neville faces Jeff Hardy.

Jeff Hardy vs. Neville
Neville wastes no time making an example out of Jeff Hardy, inflicting pain. Hardy has a chance to turn tides around, but he misses the Swanton Bomb and Neville locks in Rings of Saturn to force Jeff Hardy to tap out.

After the bell, Neville calls for the mic and tells Jason Jordan that his win over him was a fluke and he'll understand that at SummerSlam when he wins back what's rightfully his.

Sheamus is backstage when Cesaro runs up and is pissed about the favor not being returned last week. Sheamus reminds Cesaro that the Swiss Superman didn't need help. Sheamus tells Cesaro he could beat Maple Leaf Mafia by himself and to watch what he does to Tyler Breeze tonight on his own.

After the commercial break, the ring is set up for MizTV. The Miz says the last several weeks, he's seen an odd pairing of Sami Zayn and the Boogeyman, so he's getting to the bottom of it. The Miz calls Sami Zayn out and Zayn doesn't know why Boogeyman continues following him around. The Miz is calling bologna, but Daniel Bryan interrupts. The Miz tries reminding Bryan he wasn't invited, but he doesn't care, as Bryan says Sami Zayn doesn't have his friend by his side, so let's fight right now! Sami Zayn is down as The Miz is upset about MizTV being interrupted, but Zayn and Bryan both attack Miz. By the end, The Miz has been hit with a Helluva Kick and stumbles into a Knee-Plus before the ring gets cleared for a match.

Daniel Bryan vs. Sami Zayn
Bryan and Zayn are going at it in a healthy competitive matchup before The Miz tries jumping Zayn once the official's back is turned. Bryan sees this and goes outside and chases The Miz up the ramp before... I'M THA BOOGEYMAN! The smoke emerges as The Miz is stuck between the two. The official's count continues as Sami Zayn rolls in the ring and the bell rings.

Just like last week, Sami Zayn wins by count-out thanks to The Boogeyman's distraction. Daniel Bryan is ticked and The Miz is frozen. Daniel Bryan runs into the ring and tackles Sami Zayn and goes to town. The Boogeyman rushes to the ring as The Miz jumps off the side of the ramp and The Boogeyman stares down Daniel Bryan, who freezes in his tracks. The Boogeyman lurks closer as Daniel Bryan backs away and The Boogeyman kneels by Sami Zayn while Bryan exits. Tom Phillips and Corey Graves are confused about this partnership.

Dean Ambrose marches through the backstage area hollering for Seth Rollins. He can't find him and stops to ask a few. Once he reaches The Vaudevillians, Aiden and Simon get snarky with Ambrose. Ambrose says he'll drop both on their heads and they'll go back to the 1940's. The Vaudevillians tense up and Ambrose laughs them up before shoving Simon to the wall and continuing his search for Rollins.

Before Sheamus squares off against Tyler Breeze, the Maple Leaf Mafia recap what Sheamus told Cesaro earlier and talk their way into a handicap match - making the Celtic Warrior eat his words.

Sheamus vs. Maple Leaf Mafia in a Handicap Match
Sheamus tries handling his own, but numbers get to him and Cesaro comes out to the stage with his arms crossed before a commercial break, smirking. As the number game gets too much for Sheamus, Cesaro continues to watch and Dillinger hits a Tye Breaker, but Sheamus kicks out! Cesaro's eyes widen as Breeze goes in and hits the Beauty Shot and Sheamus gets his foot on the rope. After pulling him away from the ropes, Sheamus kicks out! MLM gets upset and Dillinger gets in position for The Perfect 10, but Sheamus counters and goes on a frenzy. Sheamus looks like he'll have the Brogue Kick on Breeze before Dillinger pulls Sheamus into the ring-post, crotch-first, and the official calls for the DQ.

Dillinger argues the call, but Breeze convinces his partner to continue the attack. Cesaro stands at the ramp watching as the fans chant for him to help. Sheamus is beaten down before a conflicted Cesaro walks behind the curtain. Dillinger goes outside to get a steel chair when Cesaro rushes the ring and has a chair in hand already. Cesaro swings for Breeze who dips out. The fans erupt and Dillinger thinks about getting in the ring with his steel chair, but MLM retreat instead. Cesaro stands his ground in the ring before turning to Sheamus. The two lock eyes and neither appear to know what to say.

Dean Ambrose continues seeking Seth Rollins, but instead comes face-to-face with... JINDER MAHAL! Mahal is backstage on SmackDown and looks in the best shape of his career. Ambrose makes a comment if Mahal is lost, when it's confirmed he has signed an official contract with Tuesday Night SmackDown, after being taken as a Prospect in the draft earlier this year. Ambrose asks if he's seen Rollins, when Mahal shrugs his shoulders. Ambrose shoves Mahal aside before Mahal grabs Dean's arm and says he won't take disrespect likely now that he's back. Ambrose nods before he kicks Mahal in the gut and hits Dirty Deeds in the hallway. Ambrose keeps on walking as he hunts for Seth Rollins.

WWE Universal Champion Christian heads out to the ring with a surround system of boos. After letting the Tampa Bay fans know just how bad Jameis Winston is for their local Buccaneers team, he turns to business.

Christian: "Last week, Edge came out here and really tugged on my heartstrings. Telling his comeback story. Seven years away from the ring. Say it ain't so, Adam! Can I call you Adam? After all, you did call me Jay. I guess it's personal now.

"Or is it? You mentioned that you want my title. You want to take this title from me. It seems to me this is just business. You retired on top, you want to come back on top. Kurt Angle is licking his chops because this is the perfect scenario for a SummerSlam main event. Two childhood best friends, Edge's first match in seven years, for the richest prize in the industry against the best competitor in the world today, me! As much as I despise Kurt, I wouldn't want to deprive anyone of this moment. I wouldn't want to deprive the WWE Universe of this match.

"Edge, I thought long and hard about this all week. I could try and convince you to stay at home, enjoy retirement, and be a healthy father for your two little girls. But I know you. I know how you think. I know leaving this match on the table isn't in your DNA. That doesn't mean I won't be responsible for what happens.

"Because coming after my championship might be just business for you, but I take it personally. I have worked my butt off to finally be THE GUY. I've worked my butt off to finally step outside of your shadow. I'm no longer the Marty Jannetty of Edge & Christian. It's 1-A and 1-B now. And when it's all said and done, you could be the Marty Jannetty.

"I'm not letting you take this away from me. But Edge, be honest. This isn't what you came back for, was it? You came back for the title you never lost."

A black briefcase lowers from the ceiling to be beside Christian's face.

Christian: "You're familiar with a briefcase, right? You were the very first Money in the Bank winner. You cashed in on John Cena to become world champion for the first time in your career. I was in that ladder match. I played a part in your history, just like you will play a part in mine at SummerSlam.

"You didn't come back for this title."

Christian tosses the WWE Universal Championship to the side and unhooks the briefcase. Christian opens the briefcase up and pulls out the BIG GOLD... the World Heavyweight Championship: the nameplate ironically reading Edge.

"It was for this, right? The World Heavyweight Championship."

"Legends have held this title. Ric Flair, Triple H, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, myself. I know this championship means the world to you. And if you came back for the World Heavyweight Championship, then be my guest. Show up next week and I'll hand deliver this to you."

"After all... this is the one off your mantle."

Christian smirks as a video pops up on the titantron of him sneaking into an empty Edge house, residing in Asheville, North Carolina... and Christian going in and stealing the World Heavyweight Championship belt out of Edge's home: the same one he retired with seven years ago. The fans help Christian leave to even louder boos as Christian picks up the WWE Universal Championship and walks out with both straps in his possession.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves react to the big reveal by Christian. Phillips is appalled Christian would go into a man's home, but Graves says it was fair game. Graves understands Christian feels threatened by Edge coming in and getting a title match in his first match in 7 years and Christian's not playing with friendly fire.

Switching gears to next week, Phillips and Graves announce it'll be The Usos from Raw versus The Revival to determine the #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships, following the controversial ending to the match last week. Plus, after his interference in tonight's match, Daniel Bryan has requested and been granted a match versus The Boogeyman. Plus, Jinder Mahal has his in-ring return to the SmackDown brand. But up next, the women main event to determine a #1 contender for Charlotte's Matrons Championship. Charlotte joins Phillips and Graves on commentary for this next match.

Sasha Banks vs. Tessa Blanchard in a #1 Contender's Match
Banks and Blanchard know the magnitude of this match, having a main event on Tuesday Night SmackDown. The two continue going back and forth with several near-falls. Closing in on 17 minutes of the match, Banks has Blanchard in the Banks Statement, but Blanchard barely gets her fingertip on the ropes. Banks is upset, not sure what else to do and decides to throw Blanchard in the corner. Sasha charges with double knees but Blanchard eludes and counters with a Magnum attempt, but Banks counters with a small package... BLANCHARD KICKS OUT! Blanchard almost caught off guard but gets up and runs into a drop-toe-hold into the middle turnbuckle. Banks goes for a schoolgirl pin and Blanchard gets out at 2, but her momentum carries her into another Banks Statement.

Blanchard's trying not to tap but she begins to fade. Tessa gets a second shot of adrenaline, but Banks pushes her foot off the rope and re-centers the hold. Blanchard can't reach the ropes but refuses to tap and she passes out in the center of the ring. The official calls for the bell.

Sasha Banks hears her music sound throughout the arena tonight as she lays beside Tessa Blanchard in the ring. Charlotte stands up and says she's impressed with this match tonight, but has read this chapter before and it always ends with The Queen on top. As Sasha rises to her feet slowly with help from the official, fans' attention is drawn to the titantron...

On the big screen, Dean Ambrose has found Seth Rollins! The cameras capture this mid-brawl throughout the parking lot. Ambrose sends Rollins flying over the hood of a car and Rollins decides to push Ambrose into a handicap parking sign before running back in the arena. Rollins runs through the hallways getting away from Ambrose who is closing quickly before Ambrose catches up to Rollins in catering. Ambrose grabs peoples' food to throw at Rollins before tipping a table that almost falls on top of Rollins, who escapes again. Ambrose catches up to Rollins before they trade blows beyond the curtain... and they're in the crowd! Rollins takes control and punches Ambrose down the stairs of the arena. Rollins starts talking trash before Ambrose then hits a back-body-drop in the crowd. Ambrose picks Rollins up and throws him over the guardrail to the ringside area. Ambrose hops over the barricade himself and starts throwing chairs in the ring. Ambrose throws Rollins in the ring with the chairs and Rollins picks up a chair and throws it at Ambrose's head.

The brawl continues as Rollins decides to try a Curb Stomp on the chair, but Ambrose moves last second and Ambrose clotheslines Rollins and nearly takes his head off! Ambrose decides to leave the ring and looks under the ring until he pulls out a CINDERBLOCK! The cinderblock is a key part of the feud. Ambrose lifts it up in the ring before Kurt Angle stops it as security rush the ring. The security guards stand between Ambrose and Rollins, leaving Ambrose on the outside of the ring. Angle says to stop right there, and he's making it official: Dean Ambrose versus Seth Rollins at SUMMERSLAM! The crowd roar in excitement as SmackDown goes off the air.

NXT Updates (Wednesday, August 1, 2018):

nxt_north_american_championship_png_by_darkvoidpictures_dc8cz6r-pre.png

For the last three weeks, William Regal has conducted a Round Robin tournament to crown an inaugural NXT North American Champion.

The tournament began last week and continues tonight.

Tom Lawlor tops Carmelo Hayes via submission for 3 points.

Lawlor's partner Josh "The Goods" Woods lost to Nick Aldis via pinfall, giving Aldis 2 points.

Taking a break from the Round Robin, Keith Lee makes a statement as he defeats Angel Garza as he looks ahead to his match against Andrade later this month.

In a back-and-forth hard-hitting affair, Ciampa hits Project Ciampa to get 2 points over Dave Finley.

And for the last Round Robin match tonight, Dijak manhandles Rich Swann for an easy 2 points.

After Britt Baker and Bianca Belair had a civil debate on who would challenge for the NXT Women's Championship, they had to put their differences aside to face the debuting team of Mia Yim and Tegan Nox. As The Clink competed, Kairi Sane decided to interrupt and distracted Belair, which results in Nox hitting the Welsh Destroyer to pin Britt Baker and give her and Yim a big win!

In the main event, Pete Dunne teams with Cedric Alexander and Moose, the NXT Tag Team Champions, to face The Industry. With a lot of implications on the line, Pete Dunne was able to hit the Bitter End on Tevita Loa and secure a NXT Championship Match against Adam Cole at NXT Takeover!

Round Robin tournament standings -
Aldis (5 points)
Dijak (4 points)
Ciampa (4 points)
Lawlor (3 points)
Hayes (2 points)
Woods (0 points)
Finley (0 points)
Swann (0 points)

AUGUST 2 2018

The opening intro for 205 Live starts off our second ever 205 Live episode! "The Man of 1,000 Holds" Dean Malenko kicks off tonight's show and says he wasn't happy with the disrespect last week by Ace Austin. Malenko says he's here to help anyone in the back get better, but only if they respect those who paved the way. Malenko introduces one of those men, Tyler Bate! After Bate comes out, Malenko says Bate will become a Cruiserweight Champion in no time. Ace Austin heads out and tells Malenko he could end this kid's career quicker than it has started. Tyler Bate swipes the mic from Ace Austin and challenges him in a match right now! Ace Austin laughs and agrees.

Ace Austin (1-0) vs. Tyler Bate (0-0) w/Dean Malenko
Ace Austin bit off a little more than he could chew as Tyler Bate was giving Ace Austin everything he could handle until Ace gets lucky with The Fold.

After the match, you can tell Ace Austin was overworked more than he expected to be. It's announced by Vic Joseph that the man who stared down Ace last week at the end, NXT superstar Dinastia, is in the main event tonight against Zema Ion.

Ariya Daivari (0-0) vs. Jack Gallagher (0-0)
Ariya Daivari's temper is tested in this match and it is to his demise as it leads to a Shotgun Dropkick and a win for the Gentleman.

Another vignette airs for El Hijo del Fantasma, focusing on all the talent and matches he's had around the world, and that his time is now in 205 Live and will soon show the entire brand why he's highly acclaimed, along with the entire WWE.

Gran Metalik (0-0) vs. Flip Gordon (0-0)
It's a top-rope affair between Metalik and Gordon who steal the show. After getting everyone out of their seats, it's Flip Gordon's Star Spangled Stunner that puts Metalik on his back for a 3-count.

Leaving everyone in awe of his finisher, Flip Gordon got a standing ovation from the crowd before he's assaulted by Kip Sabian and Marty Scurll. It's Mansoor and Mustafa Ali that comes to save Flip Gordon from any further damage.
A video package is shown for Dinastia prior to his big match in a little bit, coming from NXT to face Zema Ion in the main event.

Mark Andrews (0-0) vs. Raul Mendoza (0-0)
Despite Flash Morgan Webster being advertised throughout the day as Raul Mendoza's opponent, it turns out to be Mark Andrews who secures a win with a Vertebreaker.

Chavo Guerrero meets Dean Malenko and Tyler Bate backstge. Chavo welcomes Bate and Malenko to the brand, saying he's impressed with what he saw from Tyler and asks him to keep his head held high. Dean Malenko says that's the tip of the iceberg but his client won't improve without reps. Tony Nese overhears this and says he'd be willing to put the kid on his back two weeks in a row. Chavo makes the match official for next week.

Dinastia (0-0) vs. Zema Ion (0-0)
NXT superstar Dinastia has arrived at 205 Live! With his sights set on Cruiserweight Champion Ace Austin, he nails Ion with a Dynasty Driver to take the victory.

The champion Ace Austin interrupts Dinastia's music with his own, only to come to the top of the ramp and raise his Cruiserweight Championship high above his head as 205 Live goes off the air.

>> Unfortunately, Emperor Roman Reigns indeed has been re-diagnosed with leukemia as announced on Monday Night Raw. He'll be out of action for an unknown amount of time. Everyone wishes him well in this battle.

>> With the news that Reigns will be out of action, this has forced a lot to be rewritten in regards to the shows. Of course, he was scheduled to face Baron Corbin at the pay-per-view and that didn't occur. It's understood he was scheduled to receive a major push and perhaps become WWE Champion for the first time in his career later in the year. Those plans are obviously reshaped as Reigns handles something more important.

>> The Usos continue to fight on Raw and SmackDown. They've been scheduled for another match on SmackDown with a chance to become #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships. A lot has surrounded the "flop" of the WWE Trios Championships with a lack of contenders and focus on the trios division since its inception. With The Aristocrat Cartel disbanding, another trios team bites the dust with no help in sight.

>> Jinder Mahal appeared on SmackDown this week as an official member of the roster. It was switched last minute. The original plans were for this to be the introduction of Andrade "Cien" Almas. It's unclear why plans changed, but Andrade will have a NXT Takeover match against Keith Lee.

>> Christian got the IWC talking after re-introducing the World Heavyweight Championship on SmackDown. It's unclear if this signals the end of the WWE Universal Championship, a title that is nearly 2 years old. Edge will challenge Christian for, as of now, the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

>> The main event between Sasha Banks and Tessa Blanchard was done for a reason. The women were given a main event slot to bring credibility and legitimacy to the title picture and the women's division. It's also reported a winner was not settled on until minutes before SmackDown went on air. It ended up being "The Boss" Sasha Banks coming out on top to secure a title match versus Charlotte at SummerSlam.

>> Dean Malenko has been on 205 Live the last couple weeks. Malenko has worked as an agent in WWE for several years and will be associated with 205 Live more moving forward in an on-screen role. Malenko has sided with Tyler Bate.

AUGUST 6 2018 ~ MONDAY NIGHT RAW
Jacksonville, Florida

Monday Night Raw begins with Cody Rhodes saying the WWE Championship continues to elude him with an indecisive victory in last week's main event. Rhodes says he technically won, along with Corbin, before The Lone Wolf rides in on his motorcycle to confront Cody. Corbin says he did all the work and if Rhodes wants to be in denial about that, he can settle this now. WWE Champion Kevin Owens comes out to add fuel to the fire, saying there can't be two winners in a triple threat, but there can be two losers. Owens claims to be the best champion on Monday nights, but after last week, looks like he won't have a #1 contender and will "be forced" to sit out SummerSlam... Then the unlikely Bobby Lashley comes to the ring. The United States Champion takes exception to Owens calling himself the "best champion" and says it sounds like Owens is running from competition. Lashley says they can settle it at SummerSlam, when Finn Balor's music hits next and he comes out with Jordan Devlin. Balor says Lashley's been running for him, and he beat the United States Champion last week, thus being next in line for a title match. Lashley says if it wasn't for Devlin, he wouldn't have won. Balor looks back at Devlin who tries to explain himself and all 5 start bickering before... JBL comes out. JBL says all make good points, and while he decides through the night about his title matches at SummerSlam, he'll make the matches for tonight: First, Jordan Devlin and Finn Balor will team up to face Baron Corbin and Cody Rhodes! But in tonight's main event, we have a champion versus champion match: Kevin Owens versus Bobby Lashley!

After the break, the commentators break down the two big matches later this evening! Plus, Becky Lynch versus Nikki Bella and Rusev versus Dolph Ziggler later to come.

The New Day w/Xavier Woods vs. Santana & Ortiz
The trios champions revert back to tag team action against Santana and Ortiz, who try to make it on their own without Alberto Del Rio's guidance. After putting together a classic tag team match, New Day take it with the Midnight Hour on Ortiz to win the match.

As The New Day celebrate, the lights go out. A voice speaks on the titantron as the screen and stage fill with smoke. The voice says for 435 days, The New Day have been living in Candy Land, but now they must be introduced to their new home, The Wasteland. You hear chair shots in the ring and the lights are forced to come back on with The Fallen standing over The New Day with chairs. Viktor instructs his men as they all slam the chair into the bodies of The New Day. Security rush down but are too scared to get in-between the two teams. Viktor calls off the dogs and hands them all a belt as they raise the WWE Trios Championships high.

Backstage, Rusev is with Lana and Charly Caruso asks about his match with Dolph Ziggler tonight. Rusev says it's wrong for Ziggler to go after another man's woman. Tonight he not only fights for Elias and Scarlett, but he will fight for Rusev and Lana.

Alexa Bliss vs. Paige in a non-title match
The Women's Champion has a challenge against Alexa Bliss, but puts The Goddess away with a Paige Turner.

Cody Rhodes confronts Baron Corbin backstage and while The Lone Wolf has nothing to say to Rhodes, he's convinced to work together as a team tonight. Because despite how they feel about each other, this could decide who Kevin Owens defends against at SummerSlam. Corbin tells Rhodes to stay on the apron and watch tonight, because he doesn't intend on tagging Rhodes in. "The Lone Wolf does it alone" as Corbin steps away.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev w/Lana
Elias joins the commentary team with Scarlett by his side, and at one point during the match, in his lap. As Cole tries to call the match happening, Rusev is throwing Ziggler around. Ziggler finds a brief moment to stand up in the corner and blow Scarlett a kiss. Elias takes exception and he starts going down. Ziggler's ready for Elias to hop in the ring before he's kicked in the back of the head and put in The Accolade. After squirming, Ziggler decides it's best to tap out.

Lana pulls Rusev away as he's victorious while Elias Samson stalks Ziggler as The Showoff gets to his feet before he's smashed in the back with the guitar. Elias stands tall as Raw goes into another commercial break.

After the break, Finn Balor and Jordan Devlin have already made their entrance for this next match.

Baron Corbin and Cody Rhodes vs. Finn Balor and Jordan Devlin
Corbin starts the match and has things under control against both Balor and Devlin. The fans chant "We want Cody" but Corbin ignores them. Corbin knocks Devlin silly with a big boot and looks to put it away with End of Days, but Cody lunges over the top rope and tags himself in. Corbin's upset and pushes Cody off into the barricade and into a commercial break... after the break, it's more of an even match. Cody makes a hot tag to Corbin who goes off on Balor and Devlin. And once again, Corbin looks to put Devlin away with End of Days, but Cody hits a Disaster Kick on Devlin instead! Corbin takes issue with this and hits End of Days on Cody! Corbin's shouting in Cody's face before he's hit with a Slingblade and a Corner Dropkick combo from Balor... followed by the Coup de Grace. Balor goes for the cover and Cody begins to stir, but stays back as Balor pins Corbin!

Everyone's shocked as Balor and Devlin pick up a big victory over two top Raw stars and they go into commercial.

After the break, Cody Rhodes is walking backstage ripping his tape off as Baron Corbin pulls him around. Corbin shouts down Cody's throat about leaving him high and dry, when Cody says it was him hitting the End of Days on him. Corbin says Rhodes has had too many chances at the WWE Championship and failed each time, so he doesn't want a loser as a partner. Rhodes asks if he'd want a fighter, and when Corbin says yeah, Rhodes decks him. This ignites a brawl backstage that has to be separated by the talent in the back.

In a separate part of backstage, The Usos are asked by Charly Caruso an update on their cousin, Roman Reigns. Jey informs the WWE Universe that Roman remains in good spirits and appreciates all the love and support to him and the historic Samoan family. Caruso asks about the WWE Tag Team Championship #1 contenders match tomorrow night on SmackDown when Jimmy mentions they had a conversation with JBL and appreciate him allowing them to challenge for the titles on the blue brand. Jey admits they wanted the Trios Championships with Reigns, and will get that one day, but now it's time to bring the WWE Tag Team Championships to Monday Night Raw and win them for a 6th time.

Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Bella
Lynch and Bella, two of the top in the women's division the last three years, continue going at it until Rubi Riot interferes with a lead pipe and swings for Lynch's head. Lynch ducks and tackles Rubi Riot, forcing the official to throw the match out.

Rubi Riot and Becky Lynch brawl to the floor before Becky Lynch snags the same lead pipe and slams Rubi Riot's arm. Becky then would grab a chair and lock the Dis-arm-her in with the use of a chair. Several officials run down to get Becky Lynch off Rubi Riot, who was only practicing self-defense after Rubi Riot stuck her nose in Becky's business... again.

After a commercial break, Becky Lynch is confronted by JBL who demands to know what Becky was thinking. Lynch reminds JBL that it was Rubi Riot who interfered in her match, and she won't put up with this anymore. Lynch demands a trade to SmackDown, or for JBL to let her handle Rubi Riot herself... at SummerSlam in an I QUIT MATCH! JBL's hand is forced and grants the match.

Michael Cole and Paul Heyman mention the added SummerSlam match, as well as the only confirmed match for next week's episode: Elias Samson and Rusev teaming up to face Dolph Ziggler and a partner of his choosing. But right now, as a decision looms who will challenge WWE Champion Kevin Owens at SummerSlam, it's a non-title Champion versus Champion main event NOW!

Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens in a Champion vs. Champion Match
Following Kevin's comments about being the best champion on Mondays, Bobby Lashley is hitting extra hard in every shot he takes. Lashley had to avoid a couple close calls, including when Kevin steals Bobby's Spear finishing move and nearly wins. But as the match draws to a close, Lashley goes for a Spear of his own and charges, but Owens drops to the mat and rolls outside. Lashley follows and a brawl ends with Lashley spearing Owens through the barricade! As Owens lays in the timekeeper area, Lashley gets inside the ring. Owens stirs and is up at 8, but instead of trying to get inside, he grabs his WWE Championship and takes the count-out.

Fans boo and Lashley isn't content with the count-out, but Owens clinches his title and grabs a microphone. Owens reminds everyone that he is the Prizefighter and fights are only worth it with a championship on the line. Owens responds to the fans, saying they can boo and hate all they want, but there's a reason he's the WWE Champion and there's no worthy compe-

JBL cuts Kevin Owens off. The Raw General Manager stands at the stage and says it's been a crazy night, but he demands to end a chaotic Raw by announcing the WWE Championship Match for SummerSlam. JBL says he's been thinking all night, and he's making this official. Challenging for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam is... FINN BALOR! Balor walks out to the stage with a smile and the dismay to everyone... "and Baron Corbin!" Corbin's music hits and he walks out to the stage as well. Owens' eyes widen before... "and Cody Rhodes!" Owens rolls his eyes as Cody Rhodes walks out, giving Owens three challengers for SummerSlam... and JBL mentions since he technically won his match tonight, the United States Champion Bobby Lashley! Owens flips out as JBL announces the return of the Championship Scramble Match! A concept that hasn't been seen in TEN YEARS will return at SummerSlam... and this horrid news for the WWE Champion is how tonight's episode ends.

AUGUST 7 2018 ~ TUESDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!
Orlando, Florida

SmackDown continues its two week stay in Florida with Dean Ambrose beginning the show. Ambrose says in two weeks he finally gets his hands on Seth Rollins and before Ambrose can describe what he's going to put The Architect through, a new entrance music hits... it's Jinder Mahal! Mahal was dropped on his head in his SmackDown return backstage last week. Mahal reminded Ambrose that he's in the best shape of his life and won't be disrespected like he was last week by Ambrose, because it's the era of the Modern Day Maharaja. Ambrose leans against the ropes and yawns before Mahal says he's scheduled to compete in a match tonight against some local competition from the disgraceful Florida, but instead, he wants Ambrose right now! Ambrose laughs, walks to the center of the ring, and asks if that's what he wants to do... before Mahal slaps Ambrose across the face and the Lunatic Fringe agrees.

Dean Ambrose vs. Jinder Mahal
Ambrose wasn't holding back against Jinder Mahal, and even though Mahal gave Ambrose a fight, the Lunatic Fringe caught Mahal in a Dirty Deeds after the self-proclaimed "Modern Day Maharaja" tried a Khallas, a Cobra Clutch Slam, but his finisher was countered.

Dean Ambrose didn't spend a lot of time celebrating before he gets back on the mic. Ambrose says he wasn't finished before being so rudely interrupted, and explains he'll have a blueprint to rearrange The Architect's face at SummerSlam. Ambrose tells the fans to buy front row seats if they want to taste the blood of Seth Rollins.

Bray Wyatt is seen watching Ambrose on the monitor beneath his fedora. Wyatt turns around to Erick Rowan. Wyatt says he demands excellence. Wyatt mentions Erick Rowan's the only one left of the Family. Strowman, disappeared. Harper, disappeared. Wyatt warns Rowan that if he doesn't shape up, he might be the next to disappear. Rowan towers over Wyatt, as Wyatt laughs to see a fire lit.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves discuss the potential ramifications for Erick Rowan to "disappear." Meanwhile, they also talk about tonight's show. Announced just yesterday morning, Edge will be in the building! As for in-ring competition, Daniel Bryan faces The Boogeyman and The Revival try to stand their ground against Raw's team The Usos. Bringing it to the backstage area where The Revival stand by with Renee Young.

Renee Young asks The Revival about their tag match tonight and they use this opportunity to express their outrage. The Revival say they beat The Usos two weeks ago, yet this Raw tag team comes to their show and gets a #1 contenders match? Dawson says it's a complete outrage while Wilder says they'll prove to be the best tag team in the world and can't wait to regain their titles from the Depths of Despair to become 3-time WWE Tag Team Champions. Dawson even makes the joke that they can go to Raw after SummerSlam and win the WWE Trios Championships too, since The Usos tried coming to the blue brand and take their titles. When saying they just need to find a partner, Wilder affirms two members of The Revival can beat all three members of The New Day anytime.

Charlotte vs. Dana Brooke in a non-title match
Dana Brooke, who used to be tight with Charlotte, would face the champion and get destroyed, quickly tapping to the Matrons Champion's Figure 8.

After the match, Charlotte made sure to raise her Matrons Championship high and yell in the camera that Sasha Banks doesn't stand a chance at taking her throne.

Tessa Blanchard's spotted watching the match from the back on a monitor. Sasha Banks passes by and thanks Tessa Blanchard for a great match last week, saying it's monumental to have the women main event SmackDown. Sasha extends a handshake, which Tessa takes a deep breath before saying it should be her... and walking off without shaking the hand of the new #1 contender.

In another spot backstage, Sami Zayn heads up to Daniel Bryan loosening up. Bryan has his guard up, looking around, before Zayn says he comes alone and in peace. Zayn apologizes for The Boogeyman, not understanding why he won't leave him alone. Zayn then pleads for Daniel Bryan to not go through with the match tonight. Daniel Bryan says he came to WWE, not to be a joke, but to end the jokes. Bryan says he just wants to wrestle and got cost an opportunity to do that. Bryan assures Zayn they'll have a rematch down the line, but not before he takes out The Boogeyman tonight!

The Revival vs. The Usos in a #1 Contenders Match
The Revival take this personally that The Usos are getting this match and cut the ring in half, hitting hard on Jey Uso... until Jey gets free and tags his brother Jimmy in. Jimmy Uso comes in hot and almost gets Wilder pinned after a single Uce Splash, but Dawson breaks it up. Jey comes in and this is a four-way brawl before Depths of Despair run out! Akam and Rezar, the WWE Tag Team Champions, lay waste to both tag teams and hit Super Colliders on both The Revival and The Usos.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves aren't sure what to think, as we're left without #1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships, which is likely the plan for the Depths of Despair.

A video plays of a sit-down interview with Intercontinental Champion Jason Jordan, conducted by Renee Young. Young asks what winning the Intercontinental Title means to him, saying that no matter how cliche this answer is, the greats to hold the title before him, including Kurt Angle. Renee Young asks about those calling his win against Neville a fluke. Jordan responds by saying the critics can say whatever, but he's earned this title and a champion's true mark is how he continues to earn the title he holds, which he'll prove at SummerSlam in Neville's rematch. Neville interrupts the interview and shouts down Jason Jordan saying he wants his name kept out of the champion's mouth. Neville kicks Jason Jordan out of his chair and Renee calls for help as security try to separate a brawl that's ignited between the two.

Tye Dillinger and Tyler Breeze, collectively known as Maple Leaf Mafia, head out to say they got the numbers of both Cesaro and Sheamus. MLM say they need to be appreciated, and Kurt Angle didn't need to bring in The Usos from Raw or to use a team whose already lost to Akam and Rezar, when they have worthy champions imported from Canada. Dillinger mentions it might be Angle's bias towards America, while Breeze says the further south he gets from the Great North, the more he hates America. Florida fans boo before Cesaro responds. Cesaro says if they want to face Sheamus in a handicap match, then they'll need to face the Swiss Superman in a handicap match now! Maple Leaf Mafia think about it before laughing and agreeing.

Cesaro vs. Maple Leaf Mafia in a Handicap Match
Cesaro, much like Sheamus did last week, holds his own against the Maple Leaf Mafia. At one point, Cesaro's got a one-on-one with Tye Dillinger in the ring and begins the Swing! That is until Cesaro turns into a Superkick! Breeze works on Cesaro before he throws the Swiss Superman into a Perfect 10 by Dillinger! Dillinger and Breeze both hop on Cesaro to steal a big win.

After the match, Dillinger directs Breeze to ringside to grab two steel chairs. Holding Cesaro's arm, they threaten to break it with the chairs before the Celtic Warrior's music hits! Sheamus rushes down with a chair in head, running the Maple Leaf Mafia off. Cesaro looks up and gets to his feet, shocked with Sheamus who came to his rescue.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves conduct an interview with Seth Rollins via satellite. Phillips asks the hard question of why Rollins isn't in attendance tonight, asking if it's because he's scared of Dean Ambrose. Rollins is appalled and offended at the question. Rollins says he isn't scared of anyone, especially Dean Ambrose. Rollins explains he's dealing with a family matter and calls for the "insensitive" Tom Phillips to be reprimanded for his comments. Graves apologizes for Phillips, and thanks Rollins for joining him in this difficult time. Graves asks if Rollins has a message for Dean Ambrose moving ahead. Rollins begins to answer before Dean Ambrose walks in and snatches a third headset and says if Rollins wants to say anything, he'll say it to him directly. Rollins tells Ambrose he can beat up on the bottom of the roster all he wants, Erick Rowan, Jinder Mahal, but he's stepping into the ring at SummerSlam with the greatest of this generation, The Architect. Rollins reminds Ambrose he held the WWE Championship for 546 consecutive days, a title Ambrose couldn't hold for 24 hours. Rollins admits this all started at WrestleMania. The moment Ambrose threatened his livelihood, he made a commitment to make Ambrose's life a living hell. Ambrose says rather than talking behind a camera with a lavalier mic, he come to SmackDown next Tuesday and tell him all this to his face. Rollins takes the mic off his chest and throws it to the ground without another word and walks off, as Ambrose does the same with the headset.

Going backstage, Kurt Angle is on the phone and hears bangs on his door. Angle says "that sounds good, thanks" before he finally answers the knocks. In come The Revival demanding they be the #1 contenders, making it known they were the first tag team attacked tonight by Akam and Rezar with Rezar's strike on Dash Wilder. The Usos run in as they're upset about the result, saying they came all the way from Raw. The Usos and The Revival get into a shouting match that has to be silenced by the General Manager. Angle says he just got off the phone with Raw's General Manager JBL. Angle says his mind is made up. At SummerSlam, it'll be Depths of Despair defending the titles against The Revival... and The Usos! And the match will be a legendary staple of this business, a triple threat TLC Match! The Usos seem hype, while The Revival feel slighted, as a huge match is made.

Phillips and Graves react to a BIG match! They mention this match made Edge and Christian's careers, reminding fans that Edge will be arriving shortly to the arena. But up next is Daniel Bryan's challenge to The Boogeyman.

Boogeyman vs. Daniel Bryan
Bryan awaited Boogeyman's arrival for quite some time, but he finally did arrive. The Miz is on commentary as Bryan is giving Boogeyman a beating with the vicious strikes, but Boogeyman takes it all on the chin with a creepy laugh. Bryan just begins to stomp Boogeyman's head into the mat and he appears to have snapped. Sami Zayn runs to the ring and throws a white towel in. The official looks at it, confused, before ringing the bell.

Daniel Bryan's confused as well before the ring announcer confirms Daniel Bryan wins via forfeit. Sami Zayn gets in the ring to try and check on Boogeyman, but gets a Knee-Plus instead! Bryan stomps away at Sami Zayn before the official pries Bryan off Zayn. Bryan steps away and The Miz mentions he's never seen this side of Daniel Bryan, a man he's known since 2010 when he was Daniel Bryan's mentor for NXT Season 1.

After a commercial break, Phillips and Graves get excited for the SummerSlam card as the WWE Tag Team Championships TLC Match was announced earlier this evening. But for next week's SmackDown, Jinder Mahal has requested a "second chance" at his return match on SmackDown. And ahead of SummerSlam's main event, Edge and Christian will officially sign on the dotted line for their title match. But now, here comes the Rated-R Superstar to a big ovation!

Edge: "Before I continue, thank you. I missed that. Thank you."

Fans cheer for Edge one more time.

Edge: "I was visiting some family in Toronto last week, and it was about 9:30 or so. I decided to flip the TV over to watch SmackDown. I was hoping to see some of the young talent this brand has. Depths of Despair, The Revival, Cesaro, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn... somebody. Instead, I immediately saw the face of the WWE Universal Champion, Christian.

Fans boo at the name of Captain Charisma.

"The feeling's mutual, believe me. I listened intently to what he said. But to be honest, standing here right now, I can't remember what he said. It doesn't matter. He's usually full of crap.

"But what I do recall is that video. The video of Christian going into my Asheville home and stealing the World Heavyweight Championship belt I retired with. I'd be lying if I said I didn't care. That title holds a special place in my heart. I made that title. My whole career's tied to that title. But particularly that one, the last title I ever held before I retired.

"But it's more about the principal. I was in Toronto all of last week, visiting family, visiting my mother. And yet Christian, who I've invited into my new home in North Carolina, decides to take advantage of this and walk into my home. Walk into my wife's home. Walk into my daughters' home. He's lucky I wasn't there, but he's even more lucky my family wasn't there.

"Christian, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around what you're doing and what you've become. I can only think back to when I tasted success. I beat John Cena for the WWE Championship, cashing in Money in the Bank. I let it all get to my head. I was the guy, but perhaps a little too soon. I paid my dues, but I was still immature. Hell, I had a live sex celebration in this very ring.

"I didn't understand the weight of being the guy. Is that you, Christian? Are you crumbling under the pressure? Are you perhaps timid? Scared? Are you afraid of my comeback? Because when it was you and me, I was always THE guy. You were just ANOTHER guy.

"You might feel threatened, and to be real, you should. I not only come back to wrestle in front of these fans, a moment I've craved for seven years. I not only come back to become world champion once more. I come back as a husband. I come back as a father. I am a walking miracle. And the odds have been stacked against me, but if I can beat a career-ending injury, I can beat anything. I can absolutely beat YOU!

"Whether it's the WWE Universal Championship, or if you want to try and put your name in the legacy of the World Heavyweight Championship, I don't care. I am walking into SummerSlam on August 19th and I'm taking what's mine.

"You have twelve days. You have a mouth and you've forgotten how to use it wisely. It's up to you whether you want this to be a wrestling match between two lifelong best friends, or if you want this to be a fight. I've lost a lot of both, but rest assured, if you want this to be a fight and you keep getting personal... I won't lose this one.

"So Chri-"

Edge's interrupted as he is begged to look at the screen.

Christian: "Edge, it's a shame I can't be there in Orlando, Florida. As a matter of fact, that place means a lot to me. While you were raw-dogging sl*ts, I was winning the world championship synonymous with 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair. I was getting cheered by those same fans cheering you tonight. But I ask me if I give a damn about them, because I don't!"

The fans opt to boo Christian from the via satellite location.

Christian: "But it seems we're always in the wrong place. Last week you were in Toronto, and I was in Florida. This week, it seems we switched places."

The camera pans out to see Christian, with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada... and Edge flips as he sees the background.

Christian: "You recognize this place? Of course you do, this is your mother's home. Sweet Judy. After hearing about your great time and seeing the pictures on Instagram, I felt it was time to pay her a visit. But before I go inside and have some Horton's with your mother, I have some business to take care of.

Christian unstraps the World Heavyweight Championship from his waist and holds it up.

Christian: "This World Heavyweight Championship means a lot to you, right? That's why I felt like it's time for you to say goodbye. Say goodbye, Adam.

"This isn't the same WWE you left. This isn't the era of the World Heavyweight Championship. No matter how much these fans want it to come back, it never will. Why? Because this is the era of the WWE Universal Championship. This is the Age of Captain Charisma. This is MY show! This is MY title! This is MY life! And the more you try to cling to your past, the more it's letting you go.

"At SummerSlam, you'll see your career go up in flames."

Christian steps back and tosses the World Heavyweight Championship into the trash can beside him. He pours some gasoline before lighting a flame. The trash can ignites as the same title Edge retired with burns. Looking back, Edge is fuming in the ring.

The camera follows Christian up to the front door of Edge's mother's home.

Christian: "Cameraman, you can stop right there. I'm a private individual, unlike Edge. I won't be having a live celebration in the ring, no. I prefer to have mine behind closed doors, thank you."

Christian winks before he quietly opens the door and the camera goes static. Edge is seen in the arena, already storming up the ramp. Tom Phillips and Corey Graves have no idea how to react, as Phillips hears through the headset it's time to send the WWE Universe off. Phillips says the contract signing for Edge and Christian will be next week. Graves says if they're in the same ring, he's not sure what Edge will do... then SmackDown fades to black.
