APRIL 9 2018 ~ MONDAY NIGHT RAW

Monday Night Raw begins with WWE Champion John Cena. Cena provides a speech of him being blessed with a great career and topping the record held by Flair last night against Orton was the greatest moment of his life. Cena says he was afforded that opportunity to win his first world title in 2005. Now, he'll relinquish his spot at the top and let another young guy get the title. Cena lays the title on the mat and walks away - vacating the richest prize in the WWE just 24 hours after winning it.

Back from commercial, Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Tyson Kidd react to the bombshell dropped and unsure of the future of the WWE Championship. In the ring are WWE Tag Team Champions Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder of The Revival. The champions say another day at the office is just another win for them. They're so confident to issue an open challenge by putting their titles on the line. In response, it's the Hardy Boyz!

The Revival(c) vs. The Hardy Boyz for the WWE Tag Team Championships
24 hours after their losses in the Intercontinental Championship and Money in the Bank Ladder Matches respectfully, Jeff and Matt Hardy gave their all against The Revival to capture the titles. Trying to win the titles for the eighth time, Jeff is caught for a Shatter Machine to lose the opportunity.

Scott Dawson gets back on the mic to gloat of their win, saying they're still the best and the train won't stop - when the music hits. The presence of Akam and Rezar, a collective known as The Depths of Despair from NXT, step out and step inside the ring. The stare down is intense before The Revival begin backing away, but Akam and Rezar charge and attack. The Depths of Despair throw the tag team champions around before hitting Wilder with a Super Collider, making their presence known on the flagship brand.

Backstage, Triple H confronts John Cena and shouts down his throat for letting go of the WWE Championship, saying it puts he, Stephanie, the company in a shamble. Cena orders Triple H to give a young guy an opportunity at the title but what's done is done. Triple H then says if Cena wants a young guy to have an opportunity, he can go back to the ring later and wrestle one of these young guys like Angle did for him.

Baron Corbin vs. Carlito (with Chris Masters)
Corbin rode down to the ring in the motorcycle debuted last night at WrestleMania and he comes out with much power. Chris Masters and Carlito's veteran experience are two factors that kept Mr. Cool in it, but once Masters is caught by the official putting Carlito's foot on the bottom rope, he's kicked out. Corbin then hits the End of Days on Carlito to win the match.

Paul Heyman is walking down the hall and Charly Caruso stops him to ask Heyman about Baron Corbin. Heyman says he is finished with Baron Corbin, wishing him luck in his future endeavors because he'll need it because "the kid doesn't have brains." When asked about what's next for Brock Lesnar, Heyman acknowledged the shocking announcement of John Cena vacating the WWE Championship and letting Caruso know that the next name on the gold will be Brock Lesnar.

In the ring, Lita recalls her and Trish Stratus starting to change the way people see women wrestling. But since their retirement, progress still needed to be made and some have helped in that, and some have staggered it. Lita presents someone who has made progress as the new Women's Champion, 'The Anti-Diva' Paige! Paige says the Diva Era is truly over. Paige says someone she admires for not fitting the diva mold and wants to introduce to the WWE Universe, Rubi Riot! Riot comes to the ring and thanks Paige and Lita for paving the way. However, Brie and Nikki Bella come out and say they feel slighted by them labeling the Diva Era with negative connotations. Rubi Riot speaks up and says the Bellas made it harder for girls who actually want to wrestle, not those who want to shack up with the top guys. Nikki steps up before Brie pulls Nikki back and slaps Rubi Riot and a brawl ensues. Paige tackles Brie Bella and Nikki forearms Rubi Riot, but the rookie fights back. The chaos ensues with a Riot Kick to Nikki followed by a Paige Turner.

Brie Bella (with Nikki Bella) vs. Rubi Riot (with Lita and Paige)
Brie is showing Rubi Riot that the "Divas Era" can go in the ring as well, while Rubi is trying to prove herself to the entire WWE Universe for the first time. But Brie got too confident, shoving Rubi's face down before Riot snapped and went on a run before finishing Brie off with the Riot Kick.

John Cena is sitting in his locker room when he hears a knock. Cena stands up and greets Jason Jordan. Jordan says he hears he's wrestling tonight against a "young guy" and wants that opportunity. Cena agrees to it, accepting that match for later this evening.

Joe Hennig comes to the ring and issues another open challenge that's answered by a guy not happy with last night's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal defeat, Kane.

Joe Hennig vs. Kane
This is a complete wash as Kane dominates Hennig. Kane grabs Joe Hennig by the throat and nails him with the Chokeslam for the quick victory.

Cole, Graves, and Kidd react to the news released earlier today on Twitter about Kelly Kelly's retirement from the WWE. The trio wishes her the best of luck in her new stage of life.

Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor comes to the ring and commends what he's seen from the champions tonight. Paige has ushered in a new era for the women, The Revival held an open challenge for their titles and defended them successfully, and John Cena dropped his title to give younger guys an opportunity. Balor says he won't be outdone and he issues an open challenge to anyone in the arena. Balor's looking out toward the crowd until this man comes out - and it's a familiar face to Balor. It's Jordan Devlin, a participant in the Cruiserweight Classic.

Finn Balor(c) vs. Jordan Devlin for the Intercontinental Championship
The two men obviously know each other well based on their counters of each other's moves. An impressive showing for Devlin, not officially signed to Raw, but working the 64-man tournament. Devlin is close to becoming Intercontinental Champion twice, but it's a run by Balor that finishes with a Coup de Grace to retain.

After the match, Finn Balor extends a handshake to Devlin in which he accepts. While the handshake's going on, the music hits for NEVILLE! Neville's back! Neville has been out for months with a torn Achilles and he's back. Neville comes down and he wraps Devlin up in his arms and raises his hand as it's noted all three are friends. Devlin departs and Neville then embraces Balor as he then jokes around about the title on his shoulder. Neville then sweeps Balor's leg from underneath and punts Balor in the head. Neville locks in a submission hold on the mat, much like an octopus, and keeps it locked in as his facial expression's went a 180. The Intercontinental Champion loses consciousness and Neville finally lets go. Neville looks down at Balor and grabs the title off the ground to hold it in his hands before Neville viciously stomps Balor's head into the mat countless times. Neville lays the title over Balor and exits, not looking a sole person in the eye as he walks past the crowd.

Charly Caruso asks Mickie James backstage about her friend Kelly Kelly retiring from the ring. James mentions she'll be missed and her contributions were huge, when Rubi Riot and Women's Champion Paige comes by. Riot and Paige refute the claim she made any contributions, but Kelly Kelly was the setback they were talking about. Mickie James says she considers herself a part of that diva era, but she's also a woman that can kick her ass, challenging either one to a match next week. Paige accepts and James says after she wins, she's first in line for the title.

Jason Jordan vs. John Cena
Gable isn't at ringside due to an injury sustained during last night's kickoff event at WrestleMania. Jason Jordan is giving his all against John Cena and mid-match it's announced that Kurt Angle will have a retirement ceremony on SmackDown this week. Jason Jordan showed incredible athleticism and was compared to a young Angle with his grit and drive, but a rookie mistake of him getting too confident. Jordan took too long and tried doing an Angle Slam, but Cena countered with an AA to pin Jason Jordan.

Joe Hennig barges into Stephanie McMahon's office and asks that since John Cena's no longer WWE Champion that he can get a title opportunity. Stephanie busted out laughing and suggested he win one of his open challenges and then they can talk. Advertised after a commercial break is Randy Orton speaking out just 24 hours after losing the WWE Championship to John Cena.

Randy Orton comes to the ring and mentions it's been a crazy 24 hours. Orton claims that John Cena couldn't handle the pressure of being "The Face of WWE" anymore and so that's why Triple H got him to Raw to be the WWE Champion. Orton then sees that after earlier tonight, Cena recognizes that pressure and gave it up. Orton says the fix is simple: to give the title back to its previous owner. Daniel Bryan comes to the ring and commends Cena for what he did, because without Cena, he wouldn't have gotten his opportunity a few years ago. Bryan then recalled beating Orton and Batista four years ago for the title, so if anything Orton is not worthy. Bobby Lashley then makes his way to the ring and says since Orton lost, maybe it shouldn't go to him, and Bryan also lost at WrestleMania, but Orton countered with Lashley being a spot monkey in a ladder match. Braun Strowman came and said he's the only one in the ring to have won last night, including beating Bryan, so he should be the next WWE Champion. Up next, is Emperor Roman Reigns, who barely limps to the ring after last night's Unsanctioned Match with Dean Ambrose. The Emperor says he won the biggest match of last night and is still standing to show he's the new Face of WWE. Cesaro comes to the ring and says the opportunity by Cena was created for those who haven't been world champion yet. Rusev and Lana come to the ring next and mention Cesaro's choke job a couple years ago at WrestleMania and says the time is of the Bulgarian Brute. Paul Heyman then interrupts Rusev and Lana, saying between those two and Cesaro, his ears are bleeding. Heyman says Brock Lesnar has done it all and he's ready to become WWE Champion for a sixth time and that none of these men stand a chance. This is a full argument into the commercial break.

Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, and Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman, and Randy Orton
During commercial, Stephanie McMahon announced a six man tag match. Emperor Roman Reigns was left out because he's been advised not to compete after last night's Unsanctioned Match but he's at commentary with Paul Heyman as Tyson Kidd steps aside for the main event. It's entertaining at the booth while in the ring all six men are going at it. Everything's working well together until Orton smacks Strowman on the back to try and hit an RKO on Rusev, but Strowman grabs Orton and tosses him out of the ring. All hell breaks loose. Each superstar has their big moments, including a Cesaro Superman Swing on Braun Strowman! Cesaro gets ready to hit the Neutralizer on Strowman, but Orton hits a backbreaker. Orton measures Cesaro up for an RKO, but he's pushed into a Knee Plus! Daniel Bryan, the legal man, pins Orton for three.

Cesaro, Bryan, and Rusev celebrate before Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman come and attack the three. The three stand them off, but then Rusev turns on Cesaro by kicking him in the back of the head. Rusev and Bryan square off and ends with Bryan hitting a Knee Plus. Bryan stands tall, before an Emperor Punch! Roman Reigns slid in, struck, and slid out as he makes his claim to be the next WWE Champion.

APRIL 10 2018 ~ TUESDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!

SmackDown! begins with Triple H in the ring, saying his first order of business since WrestleMania has been to not renew Batista's contract with the blue brand, thus finishing the Animal's tenure back in WWE. Triple H says SmackDown is now in a bind because two big stars, Samoa Joe and Seth Rollins, will be out of action for some time. With Backlash in 3 short weeks, a challenger for Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE Universal Championship should be decided soon. Triple H announces three tag team matches for tonight, with the winners going onto a 6-Pack Challenge next week to determine the #1 contender. They are as follows: (1) Christian & Michael Bennett versus Kalisto & Sami Zayn, (2) Cody Rhodes & Sheamus versus Bray Wyatt & Tye Dillinger, and (3) Dolph Ziggler & The Miz versus Big E & Xavier Woods. Tessa Blanchard's music hits and Blanchard demands Triple H do something about Sunday. Triple H says the result is final, when Alexa Bliss interrupts and tells Blanchard to quit whining. Triple H then shrugs and makes a match between those two right now.

Alexa Bliss vs. Tessa Blanchard
Tessa was hot about Sasha Banks costing her the title that she took it out on Alexa, but she was too upset that she would make mental errors and Bliss would capitalize on them. Tessa's about to hit Magnum, but it's countered with a nasty headbutt that knocks Blanchard down and wobbles Alexa. Alexa goes to the top for Twisted Bliss, but Blanchard raises her knees and gets up to hit Magnum for the win.

Tessa doesn't have much time to celebrate before she sees Sasha Banks on the titantron calling for her attention. Banks lets Blanchard know that there's one, maybe two people, who know why. Blanchard hustles out of the ring, not listening anymore, and storms to the back.

The New Day are backstage and the United States Champion Kofi Kingston is hyping his boys up to get them ready for their opportunity tonight. Kingston says they're all WWE Trios Champions, he is the current United States Champion, and at Backlash the WWE Universal Champion could be a member of The New Day! Triple H comes by and lets Kingston know that if The New Day fail to win tonight, Kingston will put his United States title on the line next week. Triple H looks at his watch and says they're next.

Dolph Ziggler & The Miz vs. The New Day (with Kofi Kingston)
Ziggler and The Miz are understood Ohio natives but also rivals, but they gel well together as they're trying to get The New Day on a bad day. However, the chemistry is too much as Big E and Xavier Woods are rolling on all cylinders, and there begins to show some dissension between Ziggler and Miz. The New Day are looking to hit Midnight Hour on Miz, but Xavier points out behind Big E... Kofi Kingston was shoved into the ring post and is getting beat up. It's Tashard Wiggins and Desmond Xavier from NXT! Big E throws Miz off his shoulder and his glance backs Wiggins and Xavier up. Ziggler shoves Xavier Woods off the top, hitting the apron and to the floor. The Miz shoves Big E shoulder first into the corner and then hits a Skull Crushing Finale, pinning Big E!

Dolph Ziggler and The Miz begin celebrating while Wiggins and Xavier continue the assault on Kofi Kingston. Wiggins runs over and clotheslines the hell out of Woods on the outside. Both men slide in and Wiggins locks in the Last Chancery til Big E taps and Xavier tells him to show mercy. Xavier then goes up top and hits a corkscrew moonsault on Big E, as the two men stand tall as Ziggler and Miz are already in the back celebrating.

Christian is talking to Tomko backstage, the only one who will listen, about how special tonight is. Christian says he'll qualify for next week, win the 6-Pack Challenge, and go defeat Shinsuke Nakamura to become the WWE Universal Champion. But, Christian says he should be competing against Nakamura either way because he did retire an Olympic Gold Medalist. Christian then sends Tomko on a mission because tonight before his match is the official retirement ceremony of Kurt Angle.

Murphy gets to the ring and says he is finished with Alberto Del Rio, that he's fed up with him. Blake then comes out and says he appreciates Murphy's friendship and wants to be tag team partners again. The fans are for it, but Murphy says he wants to be a singles competitor. Elias Samson comes to rub in Murphy's face that he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and he is the definition of a singles wrestler. Murphy challenges Elias to a match now and Elias laughs before accepting.

Elias Samson vs. Murphy (with Blake)
Blake decides to stay ringside and support his friend. When Murphy is grounded and needs a boost from Blake who hypes up the crowd and this helps Murphy rally against Elias. Murphy is about to set up for Murphy's Law when Alberto Del Rio's music hits. Del Rio comes out in his fancy car and honks the horn. Murphy's attention is zoned in on Del Rio, Blake runs over there to step in between the car and the ring, and the official is looking up at the ramp as well for Elias to kick Murphy below the belt and hit Drift Away. Elias shouts at the official and gets the three count.

Blake slides back in and Elias runs off. Blake kneels by his partner as he looks back at the ramp and Del Rio steps out of the car to get a microphone. Del Rio says both made grave mistakes. Del Rio warns the best friends that he's far from finished with them.

Tessa Blanchard is stomping around backstage shouting for Sasha Banks when she comes across Matrons Champion Becky Lynch. Lynch holds up her hands and Tessa doesn't listen before popping the champion in the mouth. Tessa's pulled off Becky by a couple bystanders, but Lynch jumps on Blanchard and then more people come in to break these two up.

In the ring, set up is the retirement ceremony for Kurt Angle. Christian and Tomko stand in the ring and Christian begins to go through the accolades and accomplishments of Angle, before he turns to berating Kurt Angle. Christian brags about retiring the Olympic Gold Medalist at WrestleMania before KURT ANGLE's music hits! Christian quickly shuts up and has Tomko stand in front. The crowd rises and Christian's in a panic, before the music turns off and he laughs. Christian says he pranked the entire WWE Universe and it's great, because Angle is never gonna be seen again. Michael Bennett's music hits, and to Christian's dismay, his tag partner tonight walks to the ring with wife Maria. Bennett says he was cheated out of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but came in second place, so someone has to take Angle's place and labels himself the Silver Medalist. Christian scratches his head before Kalisto and Sami Zayn come for their tag team match.

Christian & Michael Bennett (with Tomko and Maria) vs. Kalisto & Sami Zayn
To determine who joins Dolph Ziggler and The Miz for next week's Six-Pack Challenge, Christian had control when he's been in the ring against Kalisto and Zayn. When Bennett was in, tables would quickly turn at times where Christian was panicking on the apron. But Christian and Zayn were in the ring as Christian dodged a Helluva Kick and Christian hit a snap neck breaker. Christian and Zayn both hot tagged, but Kalisto is going off on Bennett and is ready to hit a Salida del Sol but Bennett pushes Kalisto into a Christian big boot on the smaller luchador. Sami Zayn then goes off on Bennett before Christian comes and tackles Zayn outside the ring. Christian heads back inside and Tomko clotheslines Sami Zayn outside behind the official's back while Christian gets taken out by a hurricanrana by Kalisto before Bennett hits Divine Intervention on Kalisto to win the match!

Christian and Michael Bennett overreact to their win, kinda like Ziggler and Miz did, as they celebrate with Maria and Tomko (the most reserved) in this victory, qualifying for next week.

The New Day are upset over earlier tonight while things get piled on when Triple H comes by with a smirk. Triple H reminds Kofi Kingston of his comments earlier this evening. Big E stands up and goes off on Triple H asking why he hasn't done anything about the attack earlier tonight. Triple H shrugged and said D-Generation X and Evolution would've handled that on their own. Maybe if The New Day was as great as people said they were, it wouldn't be an issue.

Tom Phillips and JBL highlight a big SmackDown episode for next Tuesday Night. The United States Championship is on the line, though it's not known who it'll be competing against champion Kofi Kingston. Plus, the #1 contender for the WWE Universal Championship will be determined in a Six-Pack Challenge between Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Christian, Michael Bennett, and two more competitors who will be decided right now.

Bray Wyatt & Tye Dillinger vs. Cody Rhodes & Sheamus
Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens came to join Tom Phillips and JBL, as Owens ripped into the amount of chances Cody's gotten to become world champion and fails each time. Owens says he's only here to support fellow Canadian Tye Dillinger, and to see who he might cash-in on. Seeing roots of the Sheamus and Dillinger feud, while Cody gets riled up with Owens at ringside, and Bray Wyatt is the wild card. There was a six-minute part of Rhodes and Dillinger going at it that got the crowd on their feet before hot tagging Sheamus and Wyatt. Sheamus was destroying Wyatt's chest before hitting White Noise and getting a near fall that's broken up by Dillinger. Cody gets back in and hits a Disaster Kick on Dillinger. Wyatt grabs Cody to hit a Sister Abigail before it's countered and pushed into a Brogue Kick! Sheamus falls for the cover and Cody stares down Owens for the three count.

Cody and Sheamus celebrate a victory as Owens doesn't give much credit to Sheamus or Rhodes for their win, saying he likes Christian's chances for being a fellow Canadian, along with Christian being a former World Heavyweight Champion. Sheamus then NAILS Cody with a Brogue Kick! Owens applauds as Sheamus shows he's all business heading into next week's Six Pack Challenge.

APRIL 16 2018 ~ MONDAY NIGHT RAW

Monday Night Raw starts with Stephanie McMahon addressing the WWE Championship situation. Stephanie says the preference is to have a champion worthy of being the face of Raw, but the face of WWE as well. Stephanie goes on the list of who has proven worthy and begins listing Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, and Jeff Hardy. Before she can go further, John Cena comes out. Cena says he felt her and Triple H would skew the title to people who always stay at the top of the card - so he went to WWE Headquarters and got a tournament approved, dubbing it "The Tournament of Opportunity." Cena points to the titantron and announces each matchup: (1) Baron Corbin vs Rusev, (2) Cesaro vs Emperor Roman Reigns, (3) Braun Strowman vs Jason Jordan, and (4) Daniel Bryan vs Matt Hardy. Stephanie is pissed that Cena went above her.

Jason Jordan is watching on the monitor backstage and Charly Caruso approaches him. Caruso asks Jordan's initial reaction to being put in this tournament. He's ecstatic for the opportunity and surprised Cena went to put his name there. Caruso asks about his task against the "Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman, and while Jordan recognizes who Strowman is, he will do his best to advance in the WWE Championship tournament.

New York's Finest come to the ring and Enzo Amore speaks out of the debut of Depths of Despair last week and trying to jump the line for the WWE Tag Team Championships, calling it disrespectful. The duo of Akam and Rezar head out for their Raw debut.

Depths of Despair vs. New York's Finest
Akam and Rezar are dominant of Enzo Amore and when Colin Cassady is tagged in, he's in awe of the power of Akam and Rezar. It's not too long before a Super Collider gives D.o.D. an unblemished record to begin their tenure on the main roster.

Backstage, The Revival are watching Depths of Despair win their match. Dawson and Wilder converse about Enzo having a point, them trying to jump at the front of the line. Wilder shrugs and says they asked for competition. Dawson says they haven't worked this hard to build up the tag division for teams to "jump the line" like privileged brats. Dawson suggests he needs to see more from the new team before they get a shot at their titles.

Baron Corbin vs. Rusev (with Lana) in the WWE Championship Tournament of Opportunity
Corbin rides down in his motorcycle once again for the opening contest of the Tournament of Opportunity. Rusev shows a lot of hunger and when he's gassed, Lana encourages him to keep going. Corbin blocks a running heel kick by Rusev and hits a Deep Six before setting up for End of Days. Lana grabs onto Corbin's leg, but Corbin reaches down and pulls Lana up on the apron. Corbin then avoids a charging Rusev, who knocks Lana to the floor! Rusev is stunned and showing remorse before he's turned around into an End of Days as Corbin pins Rusev.

Randy Orton storms into Stephanie McMahon's office and demand he gets put in the WWE Championship Tournament. Stephanie says it's beyond her, and Orton affirms that she's the EVP and can do whatever she wants. Stephanie shrugs and admits she might not want to put Orton in the tournament. Orton scratches his head and Stephanie further elaborates they wouldn't be in this situation if he had come through at WrestleMania and retained the title he was handed on a silver platter. Stephanie did say she could put him in a match tonight, but Orton cut her off and said he's taking the night off before storming out of her office.

A car pulls up to the arena and the driver opens the door for Charlotte to exit out of. Charlotte heads into the arena until she stops, and steps to the side to hear Billie Kay and Peyton Royce talking. Charlotte takes offense to this, though Kay and Royce don't mention what they were snickering about. Charlotte says she didn't expect to wrestle tonight, but she'll kick either of their asses, so get ready.

Mickie James vs. Paige (with Rubi Riot) in a non-title match
The Bella Twins join Cole, Kidd, and Graves at the booth and express their frustration with Paige and Riot trying to discount what they've done the last decade. While Mickie tries to get her in position for a Women's Championship match, her Mick Kick is countered into a Paige Turner and the champion gains a pinfall!

Before leaving the booth, the Bella Twins say they're far from done with Rubi Riot and the Women's Champion.

John Cena is backstage when Bobby Lashley comes to confront Cena. Lashley says he's pissed that he's not in the tournament, and it's Cena's fault. Before Cena gets a word in, Lashley accuses Cena for holding their past against him and its a personal vendetta. Cena says it's the Tournament of Opportunity, and it's not for guys who gets to be world champion often. Lashley says he's been the man to create his own opportunities, not be handed one. Lashley then points out that Daniel Bryan's been world champion, so Cena is playing favorites towards Bryan. Cena tries to explain Bryan hasn't been world champion since his injury four years ago when he vacated the title and Triple H and Stephanie have kept him from that moment since. Lashley gets real close to Cena and says he'll get in the tournament, one way or another.

Joe Hennig comes out for another open challenge and it's answered by Neville!

Joe Hennig vs. Neville
This is Neville's first match back since his Achilles injury last year. Neville with his new attitude just dominates Hennig in three minutes before putting a submission in, the Rings of Saturn, for Hennig to tap to.

Neville keeps the grip of his submission and won't let go until he's jumped from behind... it's Jordan Devlin! Devlin is going off on Neville before security rushes the ring and pulls Devlin away. Cole confirms that Devlin isn't a part of the roster. After a commercial break happens to get settled, there's footage of Stephanie ordering Devlin to be put in handcuffs and sent to jail.

Backstage, Daniel Bryan approaches John Cena and says he heard what Bobby Lashley said. Cena goes to apologize, but Bryan admits he's right. Bryan says he doesn't want to have an asterisk by his name, and Cena begs Bryan to stay in the tournament, assuring him he's earned that opportunity. Bryan requests to put his spot in the tournament on the line tonight against Bobby Lashley. Cena is about to say no, but Stephanie's walking back to her office from the parking lot where the arrest occurred. Stephanie loves the idea and says it's the main event!

Braun Strowman vs. Jason Jordan in the WWE Championship Tournament of Opportunity
Jason Jordan was only overpowered this match but his resilience kept him in the match. Strowman had issues putting Jordan away, and when Jordan began to get juice from the crowd and tried to use his adrenaline to provide strength, he ended up getting Strowman off his feet with a German Suplex! Jordan was ready to get the Olympic Slam in homage to Kurt Angle, but Strowman was too much and ran and hit Jordan like a train before lifting him up and hitting a Running Powerslam. Jordan kicked out! Strowman then picked Jordan back up, annoyed, and hit a second Running Powerslam and that did it.

Matt Hardy is backstage with his brother Jeff, who are both still feeling the effects of last week between their WrestleMania defeats and the attack from Depths of Despair. Charly Caruso comes to Matt and asks about his thoughts of being placed in the tournament. Jeff speaks up and says that he's had his run as WWE Champion, while it's been a minute, now it's Matt's time. Matt elaborates and says it's an honor to be selected to compete in the Tournament of Opportunity, and that's all he's asked for is an opportunity. When Caruso fishes for who he'd rather wrestle, Daniel Bryan or Bobby Lashley, Matt doesn't hesitate to say Daniel Bryan would be a dream match competing against him for the first time ever. But, he'd also like to teach Lashley a lesson in humility.

Billie Kay (with Peyton Royce) vs. Charlotte
Charlotte came to the ring all business and didn't waste any time taking her frustrations out on Billie Kay before hitting a Natural Selection to lock in the Figure Eight, forcing Billie Kay to tap instantly.

Advertised for next week are the two tournament matches left in the opening round of the WWE Championship Tournament of Opportunity. Cesaro will go one-on-one with Emperor Roman Reigns. In addition, Matt Hardy will face the winner of tonight's main event as Daniel Bryan puts his spot on the line against Bobby Lashley after the commercial break!

Bobby Lashley vs. Daniel Bryan for Bryan's Tournament Spot
Former WWE Champion John Cena, who set up the Tournament of Opportunity at WWE Headquarters this week, is glued to the monitor backstage as he sees Lashley and Bryan go at it. Lashley's obviously overpowering Bryan, but can't keep up with Bryan's quickness and technical savviness. Lashley seems to have beaten Bryan down enough where he goes for a Dominator, but Bryan slides off the back and begins a momentum swing. Bryan finishes off his Yes kicks before he goes for a Knee Plus, but Lashley sides steps and runs to the ropes, bouncing back with a Spear! Lashley keeps Bryan from rolling to the outside, lays across, but Bryan gets his foot on the bottom rope. Lashley gets up and goes for another Spear, but Bryan leap frogs Lashley who runs shoulder-first in the post and Bryan gets the Yes Lock in! Lashley fights it best he can before he succumbs to the submission.

Daniel Bryan's music hits and he begins celebrating before he's turned around into an RKO! Orton's back! Everyone thought Orton left the building, but he's back to strike an RKO. Orton measures up for a Punt Kick before Cena's music hits. Orton waits until Cena slides in to get out and retreat. Cena kneels by Bryan, saving his friend, as Raw goes off the air.

APRIL 17 2018 ~ TUESDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!

SmackDown! starts with Tessa Blanchard demanding answers from Sasha Banks, calling her out for being a coward. Instead of Banks, Matrons Champion Becky Lynch comes out and stays at a distance, placing herself at the top of the ramp from a boiling mad Blanchard. Lynch promises she had nothing to do with Sasha's actions at WrestleMania. Lynch tries making up for it by extending Blanchard a rematch in two weeks at Backlash. Blanchard is skeptical until Emma comes out and says if it's that easy, and if Blanchard doesn't want it, she'll take Becky up on her offer. Tessa calls Emma to the ring to settle it then and there.

Emma vs. Tessa Blanchard
Tessa showed the same fire as last week, and Emma used that against Blanchard to get in her head. But in the end, Tessa became laser focused and finished Emma off with Magnum, securing a Matrons Championship rematch at Backlash.

The New Day are approached by Triple H who are still asking about Kofi's opponent tonight. Triple H smirked and said that Kofi would actually be genuinely surprised by who he secured for the title match.

Michael Bennett's pre-recorded message with Maria by his side about tonight's match. Bennett says he is the Silver Medalist of WWE and tonight will be handed to him on a silver platter. Bennett promises the Silver Medalist will be the top dog in this company after winning tonight and going on to beat Nakamura.

Christian speaks to the camera with Tomko backing him up about winning the Six-Pack Challenge tonight and facing WWE Universal Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at Backlash. Christian says he's went from a near career-ending injury to a career-versus-career match (reminding everyone he ended Kurt Angle's career) and defying those odds when everyone else doubted him. Now, he'll win a career-defining match and become the new WWE Universal Champion.

Luke Harper (with Wyatt Family) vs. Sami Zayn
Bray Wyatt coaches Harper on as he battles Sami Zayn and Zayn had the advantage early on before a big boot drives Sami into the mat and Harper took control. Towards the end, Sami was gaining momentum back when the lights went out. The lights came back on and Rowan had the official cornered, blocking his view, as Bray Wyatt hit a Sister Abigail on Zayn! The lights go off again, turning back on and Rowan had left the ring along with Bray. Luke Harper then waited for a resilient Zayn to get up for a Discus Clothesline and he wins the match.

Murphy is talking to Blake about tonight's tag team match scheduled, stating he wants this to be a one time thing to put Alberto Del Rio behind them once and for all. Blake agrees, as their match against Del Rio and Elias Samson looms.

Dolph Ziggler speaks on his match tonight, stating "it should've been him" wrestling Nakamura at WrestleMania. Ziggler also says it should be him to face him at Backlash to win the WWE Universal Championship - and it will be.

United States Champion Kofi Kingston awaits his opponent with fellow New Day members with him... ain't no stopping me, nooo!!! It's Shelton Benjamin! The New Day go crazy as Shelton Benjamin receives an enormous pop from the WWE Universe. Shelton Benjamin is back in WWE! Benjamin comes to the ring with a swagger before he stands in the ring with The New Day, taking the atmosphere in. Kingston sends Big E and Xavier Woods to the back for this match.

Kofi Kingston(c) vs. Shelton Benjamin for the United States Championship
Benjamin and Kingston shake hands after the opening bell before locking up. Kingston and Benjamin put on a great performance as Benjamin looks to be in the prime of his career. Benjamin has Kingston in a T-Bone Suplex, but Kingston leaps up into the corner and hits a diving crossbody instead. Kingston then gets on a roll before he gets ready for the Trouble in Paradise. Then Desmond Xavier and Tashard Wiggins runs down. They threaten to hop in the ring but Kingston and the official fends them off. Wiggins tries getting in the ring but the official holds him back. Benjamin gets to his feet and is tossed the United States Championship by Xavier. Benjamin looks at this and shakes his head, tossing it back to Xavier on the outside. Benjamin turns around, and ducks a charging Kofi only for Xavier to clock Kingston in the head with the belt. Benjamin doesn't know what to do as Xavier puts the belt back in the timekeepers area and pulls Wiggins off. The official looks back in and sees Benjamin go, reluctantly, for the cover and the title changes hands.

Benjamin has his hands on his hips as he's handed the United States Championship in his return. Big E and Xavier Woods come down and argue with the official. They turn to Benjamin, trying to get Benjamin to be a good sport, before Benjamin hits Paydirt on Big E! Xavier Woods is shocked before he's attacked by Desmond Xavier and Tashard Wiggins from behind. The three beat them down before they set up Benjamin to hit a Paydirt on Woods. Benjamin stands tall in the ring with Xavier and Wiggins on either side, shocking the world as Benjamin has returned to WWE and won the United States title.

Watching in his office, Triple H is smiling and Renee Young walks in to ask if this was Triple H's plan all along. Triple H shrugs and says if it was or not, it's best for business. Triple H explains they have a new United States Champion and there seems to be a new trio formed to challenge The New Day. Triple H says he'll book the WWE Trios Championships match for Backlash.

The Miz speaks of tasting the WWE Universal Championship for a short time last fall, until Shinsuke Nakamura ruined it. Now, The Miz says he plans to ruin this reign of Nakamura for good.

Alberto Del Rio & Elias Samson vs. Blake & Murphy
Del Rio and Elias are getting along, but it's nothing compared to the chemistry Blake and Murphy have. Del Rio tries avoiding the offensive attack as much as possible, but he gets caught in a hot tag as Murphy is going off on Del Rio before Del Rio tags himself out to a recouping Elias laying on the apron. Del Rio gets out of dodge and looks back as Murphy hits Murphy's Law on Elias, staring a dagger down Del Rio as he makes the cover.

Murphy asks Blake for a microphone and Murphy calls Del Rio back out. Del Rio peaks his head out from the curtain as Murphy says he challenges Alberto Del Rio to a match next week on SmackDown. Del Rio steps out further with a microphone and says that on one condition - Blake is banned not from ringside, but from the arena the entire night. Murphy doesn't like the sound of that, but Blake grabs a hold of the mic and says he'll stay away. Del Rio smirks as Murphy isn't so sure about the stipulation.

Sheamus in his pre-recorded message explains his actions last week about this being a dog-eat-dog world. Sheamus says he feels no remorse for kicking Cody's head off, because that's what will happen to everyone tonight in the Six-Pack Challenge as he seeks to become the WWE Universal Champion.

Cody Rhodes speaks to the camera about him feeling like a failure. Rhodes says the pressure's enough being the Son of the American Dream, but he has everyone doubting his capabilities. But tonight, he wins the 6-Pack Challenge and will be the next WWE Universal Champion at Backlash.

Tom Phillips and JBL review a big night for SmackDown. Shelton Benjamin returns and wins the United States Championship, aligning himself with Desmond Xavier and Tashard Wiggins. At Backlash, two big title matches were announced with that trio challenging The New Day, as well as Tessa Blanchard getting her rematch at Becky Lynch's Matrons Championship. But next week, Alberto Del Rio battles Murphy AND breaking news that Sasha Banks vows to speak out about her actions from WrestleMania.

Christian vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Michael Bennett vs. The Miz vs. Sheamus
Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens joins Tom Phillips and JBL once more. Owens continues to berate Cody Rhodes at every chance he gets, and while he says he doesn't care who wins, he cheers Christian his fellow Canadian each big move. Owens made it clear he'll be WWE Universal Champion soon and any of these guys feeling they'll be the face of SmackDown are "gravely mistaking." Toward the end, Ziggler and Miz were one-upping each other with the other four men before going off on each other. Ziggler and The Miz went at it and action spilled on the outside before Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick on both men. Sheamus stared down Miz after laying him out and got a suicide dive by Bennett. Bennett threw Sheamus in the ring and tried hitting Divine Intervention, but got Brogue Kicked as well. Sheamus goes for the cover but Cody comes and gets his revenge for last week and hits a Disaster Kick! Cody, seeing no one else around, hits a Cross-Rhodes. Cody goes for the cover but Christian breaks it up. Christian tries for the Killswitch but Cody counters it with the Cross-Rhodes. Cody's amped and signals for a Disaster Kick but runs right into a Popup Powerbomb by Owens! Owens pulls Christian over to Cody, laying his arm over him, as Owens walks away. The official counts three right before Ziggler can get back in the ring.

Christian's music hits as Owens heads back to get his briefcase. Being questioned, Owens ignores the comments by Tom Phillips and walks away. Tomko heads down to pick Christian up as the looks of defeat are shown on everyone's faces at ringside while SmackDown goes off the air this Tuesday night.

APRIL 23 2018 ~ MONDAY NIGHT RAW

Monday Night Raw begins with Randy Orton blaming John Cena for the "downfall of Raw" and there not being a world champion. Orton says if Cena was crumbling under the pressure, he should have never competed at WrestleMania. Orton now fears a champion like Daniel Bryan, who he's tried to put in his place for the last 5 years. Orton says the thing Raw needs most, more than a worthy WWE Champion, is to get rid of John Cena. Orton vows to get rid of John Cena.

Chris Masters (with Carlito) vs. Finn Balor in a non-title match
Masters is handling his own against the Intercontinental Champion, taking advantage of his power. However, Balor fought back and was in the Masterlock but slipped out into a pin and almost got a 3-count! But Balor uses this distance and begins to gain momentum, hitting a Slingblade and a corner dropkick. Balor goes up top for Coup de Grace and hits it! Balor makes the cover, but he's pulled out by Carlito. Carlito misses a clothesline to get hit with a Pele Kick. The official's calling for the bell.

Balor goes back up top to hit another Coup de Grace and does! Balor makes the cover, only for the official to say he's called the match due to interference. Balor's upset before he is decked from behind... it's Neville! Neville assaults Balor before putting him in the Rings of Saturn submission. Neville wrenches back until Balor taps, and continues to apply pressure until the Intercontinental Champion is put to sleep. Neville forces the title out of the timekeepers hands and poses above Balor's body.

Backstage, The Revival are in Stephanie McMahon's office and present their concept to her. The Revival thank Stephanie for signing Depths of Despair because they desperately need competition, but they feel Raw should squeeze out all the first-time matchups while they prove themselves. The Revival say they've already beat New York's Finest, but presents the list of The Hardy Boyz, The Vaudevillians, Carlito and Masters, and The Usos. The Revival say after they're finished with them, they'll be glad to put their tag titles on the line. Stephanie ponders it for a moment and decides to run with their idea, with the Depths of Despair first taking on The Vaudevillians tonight.

Charlotte vs. Peyton Royce (with Billie Kay)
After defeating Billie Kay last week, Charlotte has her hands full with a vengeful Peyton Royce. Royce is struggling though and gets caught with the Natural Selection. Charlotte goes for a Figure Eight and Billie Kay comes in and nails Charlotte with her heel, causing a DQ.

Billie Kay continues to beat Charlotte with her heel before Nikki Cross from NXT runs in and jumps on Billie Kay! Nikki Cross doesn't let up and Billie Kay rolls under the bottom rope as Nikki turns around to Peyton Royce, who just stood to her feet and is creeped out. Nikki Cross runs at Royce who gets out of dodge as she then turns to Charlotte, who is sitting in the corner watching all this unfold. Nikki crawls over to Charlotte and gives her a prolonged hug before she backs away as everyone tries to piece together what just happened.

Emperor Roman Reigns is standing by with Charly Caruso who asks about his match tonight and his placement in the Tournament of Opportunity. Reigns acknowledges that The Shield was the most dominant faction of the 21st Century and nobody could stop them. With Seth's brains, Dean's unpredictability, and his entire package they were unstoppable. Reigns mentions that both Rollins and Ambrose have made it to the top and been world champion, even Ambrose being the inaugural WWE Universal Champion. Reigns says it's long overdue, that it is his turn.

Daniel Bryan vs. Matt Hardy in the WWE Championship Tournament of Opportunity
For the first time ever, Bryan and Hardy square off and it's a classic. Matt's showing he can still go at this stage of his career and even did a moonsault to the outside of the ring on a standing Bryan. Matt taps into his vicious side when he can't get Bryan to stay down as Bryan just keeps getting his shoulder up, then Matt begins working on the shoulder that's caused problems in the past. Matt tries several submission moves, including the Yes Lock on the injured shoulder, but Bryan gets to the ropes. Matt measures up for a Twist of Fate, but he's pushed off and a Knee-Plus is hit! Instead of the pinfall, Bryan locks in the Yes Lock to show how it's done and pulls back until Matt gives up the match and the opportunity to win his first world title.

After the match, Daniel Bryan begins to celebrate with one arm before he's turned around into an RKO. Orton strikes two weeks in a row! Orton shouts down at Bryan before he is chased out again by John Cena. Orton bails, just like last week, and asks if he has Cena's attention now.

With the fallout, Charly Caruso catches John Cena and Daniel Bryan backstage and Cena's fired up. Cena says Orton definitely has his attention now and if he wants a fight, he'll be in the center of the ring tonight ready for a fight. Cena also quickly congratulates Bryan on his win and advancement in the tournament.

Depths of Despair vs. The Vaudevillians
In the first conquest for the Depths of Despair in The Revival's Checklist, Akam and Rezar have no issues after a Super Collider and pinning Simon.

The Bella Twins are backstage together and bring up Nikki's match tonight against Dana Brooke. Mickie James then walks up to them and ask to chat. Brie and Nikki look around before walking into a closed room with Mickie.

Cesaro vs. Emperor Roman Reigns in the WWE Championship Tournament of Opportunity
Cesaro and Reigns both are displaying incredible feats of power. Cesaro's superplexed Reigns from the apron into the ring, Reigns tossed Cesaro from the ring to the barricade in a hard crash. It's been a hard-hitting fight to advance. At one point Reigns tried a Spear, but Cesaro utilized a drop toe-hold to have Reigns hit the mat and Cesaro used the Superman Swing right into a Sharpshooter! Tyson Kidd takes credit for that as Reigns struggles to get to the ropes, but manages to do so. Cesaro cracks his neck before pulling Reigns away for a Neutralizer, but Reigns counters with a back body drop. Cesaro pops back up into an Emperor Punch and this startles Cesaro enough to bounce off the ropes and get hit with a Spear. Reigns makes the cover and advances!

Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor heads into Stephanie McMahon's office and Stephanie offers her sincerest apologies for the 3-on-1 that happened earlier tonight. Balor says he needs a second guy, he needs Jordan Devlin. Stephanie calls Devlin lucky he wasn't kicked out of the Cruiserweight Classic. Balor says he deserves to be here and he needs the help, he can trust him. Stephanie scratches her head and says she'll make a six-man tag next week: Neville, Carlito, and Chris Masters versus Balor and The Revival. Balor's not a fan of the idea, but Stephanie insists that champions stick together.

Dana Brooke vs. Nikki Bella (with Brie Bella)
Mickie James joins Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Tyson Kidd at commentary and while James is interrogated about her meeting earlier with the Bella Twins, she gives no details. Nikki handles business against Dana Brooke, overcoming the athleticism, with the Rack Attack.

After the match, Brie Bella got on the microphone and called out Rubi Riot and Women's Champion Paige for a tag team match at Vengeance - that they have seven days to answer.

Next week's Raw is big with the six-man tag team match made earlier which will pair the Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team Champions together. Plus, the WWE Championship Tournament of Opportunity continues with Baron Corbin battling Emperor Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan facing Braun Strowman in a WrestleMania rematch. The winners of these two semifinals will submit spots at Vengeance on May 13th for the vacant WWE Championship.

John Cena comes to the ring and awaits Randy Orton. After a few moments pacing back and forth, Cena grabs the microphone and calls Randy Orton a coward. Cena says each time he's approached Orton, he flees. Cena addresses Orton's comments about not being able to carry the company or crumbling under the weight, but Cena gives a passionate speech of him doing that the last 16 years. Cena then says Orton can blame himself for not being WWE Champion right now. Cena says Orton keeps running from him, so he challenges him to a Hell in a Cell Match for Vengeance! This concept hasn't been seen in the last few years. Cena drops the mic and as soon as he does, Orton comes from behind with the RKO! Orton stands over a stunned Cena before picking up the very same mic and accepting the Steel Cage Match for Vengeance as Raw goes off the air.

APRIL 24 2018 ~ TUESDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!

SmackDown! begins with Tom Phillips and JBL highlighting what's to come tonight. Sasha Banks speaks out about her actions as the guest referee at WrestleMania, Alberto Del Rio battles Murphy, and WWE Universal Champion Shinsuke Nakamura battles Tomko. But up next is straight into the action with Cody Rhodes one-on-one with Sheamus.

Cody Rhodes vs. Sheamus
Cody and Sheamus has a hard-hitting match and Cody takes a lot of punishment before he's able to rally and beat Sheamus with a Cross-Rhodes.

After his match, Cody Rhodes gets on the microphone and passionately challenges Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens to a match on Sunday at Backlash.

Backstage, Blake is pacing in the parking lot after the condition set last week when Alberto Del Rio approaches him. Del Rio gets in Blake's head that Murphy isn't a good friend as he says he is. Del Rio says Blake is gonna just sit on the sideline tonight because Murphy doesn't believe Blake can hang with a former world champion. Del Rio pats Blake on the chest before walking away from his pondering ex-teammate.

Elias begins a concert before he's interrupted by Sami Zayn.

Elias Samson vs. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn is taking Elias to school. Zayn has Elias in position and runs for a Helluva Kick when the lights go out and when they come back on, Sami Zayn is laid out in the center of the ring. Elias is dropped in a sitting position in the corner before he realizes his opportunity and scrambles to cover Zayn, getting the win.

As Zayn lays on the mat, Phillips and JBL are trying to see what's going on before the lights go out again. When they come back on, Bray Wyatt is kneeling by Zayn's body with Harper and Rowan standing tall in the background.

Blake is backstage talking to Murphy about letting him sub-in for tonight's match. Murphy isn't sure, but Blake says Alberto Del Rio doubted him this whole time but needs to prove himself to anyone. Blake asks Murphy not to give up on him too.

Sasha Banks is seen walking to the ring ahead of the break. After the break, Banks is teasing to break her silence but then she tells the crowd they don't deserve to know, but most importantly, Tessa doesn't deserve to know. Banks says she's a veteran who paved the way for people like Blanchard, and she's disrespectful for forcing a statement from her. Banks hints at getting involved in Sunday's title match, but Becky Lynch comes out. Lynch asks Banks to stay out of her business before she has to knock her out. Then Tessa Blanchard jumps Sasha Banks from behind and tackles her. Becky pulls Blanchard off and Blanchard nails Lynch with a forearm before going back after Banks. Lynch rips Blanchard off by the arm and locks in the Dis-arm-her before Banks goes over and stomps on Blanchard's face while she's in the hold. Lynch finally gets off and pushes Banks away. They exchange some words before Banks gets out of the ring and Blanchard's left holding her arm, five nights from her title opportunity.

Sheamus was backstage watching the action unfold and mentions to himself that Tessa nor Sasha wants to mess with Becky Lynch when The Miz walks up to Sheamus. The Miz blames Sheamus for not winning last week, but Sheamus laughs and says he should blame that on the lack of gym time because of Hollywood. Sheamus smacks The Miz's pec and laughs before Ziggler steps in from behind and says Sheamus is the reason he's not fighting Nakamura this Sunday and it's no time for jokes. Sheamus nods and says he understands. Sheamus throws a shot at Ziggler and The Miz jumps on him. Sheamus can't overcome the odds as Miz and Ziggler break the Celtic Warrior down and throw him into the monitor that cuts his shoulder.

Big E w/The New Day vs. Michael Bennett w/Maria
The self-proclaimed Silver Medalist tries measuring up to Big E, but Big E hits a Big Ending to send a message to The New Day's challengers this Sunday.

Mr. Money in the Bank Kevin Owens is asked by Renee Young about Cody's challenge earlier tonight and asks Renee if Americans are idiots - and before she answers, he answers for her - yes. Owens says Cody's father was notorious as the "American Dream" but the "Canadian Dream" will be running through New Jersey this Sunday.

Murphy is waiting in the ring before Alberto Del Rio comes out. Footage shows Blake exiting the arena moments earlier. Del Rio replays a video of last week of Blake agreeing to stay out of the arena for the entire night. For that reason, Del Rio is refusing to compete against Murphy tonight... but says he wants Blake this Sunday at Backlash in a Parking Lot Brawl. Del Rio calls his match off as Murphy is left in the ring with no opponent, before Tye Dillinger heads out to step up in Del Rio's place.

Murphy vs. Tye Dillinger
Dillinger came out to compete and show he's worthy of a spot on the show while Murphy lets out his frustration of Del Rio bailing and it's Murphy countering a Tye Breaker with Murphy's Law to win the match.

After the match, Murphy has his hands raised in victory when he's smacked in the rib with a steel chair, before a smack across the back takes him down. Del Rio then targets the arm with chair shots before putting him in the Cross Armbreaker. Del Rio's pleaded to get off by three officials and he finally does. As Murphy gets attention, Del Rio then takes the chair and swings it on top of Murphy's shoulder repeatedly as the officials dodge. Del Rio places Murphy's shoulder in the chair and he steps up to the second rope. Del Rio, against level heads, jumps on the chair in attempt to break Murphy's arm. Del Rio leaves the ring smiling ear to ear, taking Murphy out ahead of his Parking Lot Brawl with Blake this Sunday.

Stephanie McMahon invites Renee Young into her office. Young begins asking for repercussions for Del Rio and his actions, but Stephanie diverts her attention to the original purpose she called Renee in there. Stephanie announces Bray Wyatt is going up against Sami Zayn this Sunday at Backlash. In addition, after a conspiracy theory regarding the Matrons Championship, she's adding a stipulation. If Sasha Banks interferes in any capacity, two things will happen: (1) Sasha Banks will not be allowed to compete for the Matrons Championship for an entire year, and (2) Becky Lynch will be stripped of the title and Tessa Blanchard will become the new champion.

Tom Phillips and JBL take over ahead of the main event, to break down the full card:
Bray Wyatt vs. Sami Zayn
Alberto Del Rio vs. Blake in a Parking Lot Brawl
Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens
The New Day(c) vs. Benjamin, Wiggins, and Xavier for the WWE Trios Championships
Becky Lynch(c) vs. Tessa Blanchard for the Matrons Championship
Christian(c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Universal Championship

Christian came to the ring by himself and spoke of his match this Sunday at Backlash. Christian says he's only reached the top of the profession twice, as a two-time World Heavyweight Champion. Christian says the odds are against him to do it a third time at 44-years-old. The odds are against him because he's going up against a top-5 wrestler in the world, perhaps the very best in Shinsuke Nakamura. But Christian affirms that he belongs, he was the one to retire Kurt Angle at WrestleMania, and he'll be the one to beat Shinsuke Nakamura and win the WWE Universal Championship. The champion responded as Nakamura comes down to the ring and he's blindsided by Tomko from behind. Tomko throws him around on the outside into the barricade and steel steps before throwing Nakamura in the ring for a beatdown. Christian stomped him down and Tomko joins in as they toss Nakamura around before the official gets Christian to back off into the commercial break.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tomko w/Christian in a non-title match
The official asks Nakamura if he can compete, and he gets Nakamura to ring the bell. Tomko is just laying on the assault and weakening the champ before his match this Sunday. Christian is always close by the action and is getting cheap shots in on Nakamura every opportunity he gets while Tomko draws the ref's attention to the other direction. Tomko is laying the assault in before Nakamura finds extra energy to fight back and is running on pure adrenaline. Nakamura gets on a roll and as Tomko tries to counter it with a clothesline, Nakamura ducks it and comes back with a Kinshasa. Nakamura gets the cover!

Before Nakamura's music can hit, Christian pounces on the champion. Christian is throwing down lefts and rights before throwing Nakamura shoulder-first into the corner and then hitting a Killswitch. Christian demands the WWE Universal Championship and makes a point to put his foot on Nakamura's back as he raises Nakamura's title up high as SmackDown goes off the air with what might be the sight at the end of Sunday's Backlash event.

APRIL 29 2018 ~ BACKLASH (presented by SMACKDOWN!)

Backlash begins with introducing the commentary teams while the show is set to kick off with Big E's voice as we have the WWE Trios Championships on the line first!

The New Day(c) vs. Dezmond Xavier, Shelton Benjamin, and Tashard Wiggins for the WWE Trios Championships
Benjamin directs orders to Xavier and Wiggins from the apron, and when things get out of control, Benjamin comes in and gets his team back in line. The New Day had the stomping carousel in the corner on Wiggins that put Benjamin's crew in trouble and Benjamin can't get Wiggins over for the tag so he sends Xavier in to help. Chaos ensues as the official loses control before Wiggins tries catching Big E from behind, but gets caught up in the Midnight Hour with Big E and Woods. Big E hooks the leg and Benjamin isn't there in time to break it up.

The New Day celebrate as Shelton Benjamin has gone silent while Wiggins tries to apologize to he and Xavier.

Alberto Del Rio is taping his fists up for his Parking Lot Brawl with Blake later tonight when Stephanie McMahon walks up to him. Stephanie acknowledges Del Rio's attack on Murphy being wise to win tonight, evening the odds for tonight's match. Del Rio arrogantly smirks, but Stephanie doesn't take kindly to one of her talent being hurt as the SmackDown roster is wearing thin. Stephanie says hopefully it works, because if he fails to beat Blake tonight, Del Rio's first quarter earnings will go towards Murphy's recovery and rehabilitation.

Bray Wyatt w/Wyatt Family vs. Sami Zayn
Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are constant nuisances for Sami Zayn on the outside, but nothing enough for the official to catch or to send them away for. Zayn is about to hit the Helluva Kick until Harper gets on the apron as Rowan simultaneously grabs the foot of Zayn. Zayn tries getting free but Wyatt squashes him in the corner before he pushes Zayn aside and crawls to Zayn for Sister Abigail. Zayn gets out and does a schoolboy pin and nearly gets Wyatt! Both men pop up and Wyatt snatches Zayn for Sister Abigail... and it hits this time! Wyatt makes the cover and that's the end.

Renee Young stops Cody Rhodes before he goes out for his match next against Kevin Owens. Renee asks what's going through his mind now. Cody is fired up and mentions the disrespect from Kevin Owens toward his family. Cody says Kevin Owens should be grateful for what "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes did for Kevin's career. Cody says he's not focused on filling his father's shoes, but guarding them and using his own to kick Kevin's ass.

Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens
Cody comes out with a fire underneath him that's hard for Kevin Owens to tame at the start. Yet, an emotional mistake by Cody leads to Kevin Owens getting the advantage. It's a back-and-forth fight as Kevin Owens mocks Cody and his family. Owens even gets a point where he can cover Rhodes but does the infamous Dusty dance. Cody fights back for this before Owens tosses Cody to the outside and hits a senton over the top rope to the floor. Owens tries hitting a Popup Powerbomb on the apron, but Cody avoids it and throws Owens back-first into the ring post behind him. Moments later, Cody tries a Cross-Rhodes and it's countered into a suplex dropped onto the knee. After not getting the cover, Owens then decides to try hitting the Bionic Elbow but Cody counters and hits Cross-Rhodes... but Owens rolls out to the floor. Cody's deflated trying to catch his breath. Cody finally goes to retrieve Kevin Owens, but Owens decks Cody with Kevin's Money in the Bank briefcase. The official calls for the bell with an echo of boos.

The crowd is adamantly booing as Kevin Owens retreats with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Cody comes to and realizes the match is called off and he gets upset with the official. Cody wants Kevin Owens still, but Mr. Money in the Bank is long gone.

After an advertisement for Raw's pay-per-view and WWE Network special Vengeance on May 13th, Elias Samson is set in the ring. Elias begins trashing the city of Phoenix, Arizona for their pathetic sports teams in the Cardinals and Suns, when Kalisto interrupts him for a match up next.

Elias Samson vs. Kalisto
This match doesn't take much time, but it takes enough from the show, where Kalisto tries taking Elias out with a Salida del Sol, but Elias hits the Drifter to take the win after being interrupted.

After watching what transpired this past week with Alberto Del Rio, Murphy, and Blake (a trio formerly known as Cultural Revolt), the parking lot is set up for a brawl between Blake and Del Rio, surrounded by cars.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Blake in a Parking Lot Brawl
Blake is taking a lot of torture from Del Rio in this, but Blake's fought back vehemently. Del Rio was slammed into one of the car windshields, and moments later Blake's arm was caught in a car door and smashed. Blake yelled in pain and was put in the Cross Armbreaker, but Blake got to a vertical base and slammed Del Rio on the hood of a car. Later, Blake was on the top of the hood and Del Rio hit a diving foot stomp on Blake's chest. Del Rio tried with a crowbar, but Blake blocks it and grabs it from Del Rio and begins nailing Del Rio in the back of the knee. Blake was ready for Del Rio before a pickup truck's headlights light up and Blake's attention is grabbed. With nowhere else to go, the truck hits the gas and Blake barely sidesteps as the truck crashes into another car in the circle. Blake tries to get a look inside the tinted truck, but he's pushed face first into the truck. The man's covered up as another gets out of the car. They both stomp at Blake before one stops to push the cameraman away. The two guys show their face and throw Blake's head through the backseat window. They then throw Blake into the truck bed before both men climb up. The two men do a double powerbomb, Blake falling into a backstabber by the recovered Del Rio. Del Rio hooks the leg and gets the cover.

Everyone's shocked. Who are these two men, and are they aligned with Alberto Del Rio?
As Tom Phillips and JBL try to process what just transpired in the parking lot, as neither have seen these men before, it's now time for the Matrons Championship match. Phillips reminds everyone before that if Sasha Banks interferes in any capacity, she'll lose any opportunity to challenge for the title in the next year while Becky Lynch is stripped and Tessa Blanchard becomes the new Matrons Champion.

Becky Lynch(c) vs. Tessa Blanchard for the Matrons Championship
Lynch and Blanchard are putting on a showing that's rivaling their match at WrestleMania, tearing the house down. Blanchard tries a high risk move, but Lynch leaps up in the corner and hits an arm-bar off the top rope! Blanchard screams in pain as Lynch locks in the Dis-arm-her but a masked individual with hot pink hair and a BOSS t-shirt runs down to the ring and gets on the apron. It catches the referee's attention, as does Becky Lynch. The official goes to call for the bell, due to the stipulation, but Becky is daring him not to. Sasha Banks then runs down to the ring, as this is all confusion. Banks pulls the masked figure down off the apron, but is clocked with a forearm before being thrown into the steel steps. Lynch and the official are clueless, but Blanchard pulls Lynch around and hits Magnum! Blanchard gets the cover and WINS!

The crowd has no idea what to think... Tessa Blanchard is the new Matrons Champion, but who is this person? It's clearly not Sasha. Blanchard celebrates in the ring before she looks up to the top of the stage where the individual's made her way. She takes off the mask, and comes the hair... CARMELLA! Carmella is on SmackDown! Carmella just screwed Becky Lynch out of her title and Tessa Blanchard is the new champion. What's going on?!

Tom Phillips and JBL, once again, are speechless of what's transpired. First, Alberto Del Rio wins with the assistance of two unidentified men. And now, Carmella has arrived to help Tessa Blanchard become the new Matrons Champion. But up next, the main event. A video package plays highlighting Shinsuke Nakamura regaining the WWE Universal Championship from Batista and main eventing WrestleMania, only for Samoa Joe to get hurt. Now, a new challenger. Christian defeats Kurt Angle in a Career versus Career match at WrestleMania and after winning a Six-Pack Challenge, is now the #1 contender for the title.

Shinsuke Nakamura(c) vs. Christian w/Tomko for the WWE Universal Championship
Both are trying to outsmart the other, and it's working well for Christian as he puts pressure on Nakamura's throat on the rope. After being pulled away, Tomko takes a jab at Nakamura behind the official's back. Christian's strategy is in full effect before Nakamura begins mounting a comeback. Nakamura hits an inverted suplex and gets ready for the Kinshasa. Christian gets up and Nakamura charges before Tomko sweeps Christian's leg and pulls him out of the ring. The official doesn't let this happen, sending Tomko to the back. Tomko argues with it, but Christian snuck behind Nakamura and hit the Killswitch! Christian rolls Nakamura over and opportunistically covers... but it's only a two-count! Christian's upset and Tomko is leaving ringside. Christian gets up on the top rope for a frog splash, but Nakamura moves! Nakamura gets up and tries the Kinshasa one more time, but he's just sent into the corner where he hits his knee on the turnbuckle pad. Christian hits a second Killswitch and hooks both legs, winning the match!

Christian did it! He's on top of the world again! Christian is WWE Universal Champion! Tomko comes back down to celebrate as the fans aren't pleased with the result. Tomko lifts Christian on his shoulders as Christian clinches onto the newly won championship. The celebration goes up the ramp, past fans that are booing for the most part, though a few Peeps are excited for Christian to reach the top again. But the sight of Christian raising the title in the air on the ramp is how Backlash ends.

APRIL 30 2018 ~ MONDAY NIGHT RAW

Raw starts with the unfortunate news that Braun Strowman had emergency surgery on his gallbladder Friday morning and can not compete tonight in the semifinals match with Daniel Bryan. Instead, a fatal-four way now will commence to determine the replacement for Strowman in the tournament.

Big Show vs. Colin Cassady vs. Kane vs. Kassius Ohno
It is clear in the replacement match that Daniel Bryan will be going up against a man twice his size (at least). To end this match of behemoths, Big Show knocks Ohno out cold with a WMD and Show makes the cover before Cassady can turn around from his brawl with Kane on the outside.

Michael Cole confirms later this evening it will be Big Show versus Daniel Bryan in the semifinals of the tournament, as well as Baron Corbin and Emperor Roman Reigns in the other set. But as Tyson Kidd notices, Big Show looks to be in good shape and didn't take much damage in the opening match so Bryan should be concerned.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon is overseeing the monitor when John Cena barges in. Cena says this isn't what he had planned for the Tournament of Opportunity. Cena reminds Stephanie that Big Show's gotten opportunity after opportunity and has lived out his career. Stephanie lets Cena know that plans change when unforeseen things happen. She couldn't change Strowman's circumstance, so she improvised and rather than giving Daniel Bryan a free pass to the finals, Big Show has an opportunity now that he's earned. Stephanie suggests Cena gets out of her office and focus on the Hell in a Cell match in two weeks at Vengeance against Randy Orton.

Rubi Riot and WWE Women's Champion Paige come out together to accept the challenge laid out by the Bella Twins for Vengeance. And to show what they're in store for, they've accepted a tag team match tonight.

Dana Brooke and Mickie James vs. Paige and Rubi Riot
Mickie's expertise was a mismatch for Rubi Riot, but Dana's lack of experience harmed her team more. Rubi tries a Riot Kick on Mickie, who gets out of dodge and Dana Brooke tags herself in. Dana charges Rubi and Paige gets involved. Dana Brooke is on a roll until she's leveled with a Riot Kick. Rubi makes the tag to Paige as she tackles Mickie James to the outside, while Paige locks in the PTO for Dana Brooke to tap out.

After the match, on the screen are the Bella Twins. Brie and Nikki sarcastically congratulate Paige and Riot on their victory tonight. The Bella Twins then go on a list who've held the Women's Championship such as Mae Young, Victoria, Sable, Trish Stratus, Beth Phoenix, and Lita. But they let Paige know she's not on their level just because she changes the name of the DIVAS Championship. They remind Paige that the women may have paved the way, but the divas ensured Paige's name was known, marketing herself as the "anti-diva" she would have no backbone. The Bellas vow to not only beat them in two weeks at Vengeance, but to soon take back the DIVAS Championship.

Charly Caruso catches a word with Daniel Bryan prior to his match tonight against the Big Show, but first his thoughts on Strowman. Bryan says it's a shame that Strowman won't be able to compete tonight. Bryan says he's kicked himself every day for losing to Strowman at WrestleMania. Bryan vows that as soon as Strowman can compete, he wants a 1-on-1 rematch. And tonight, it's no question Triple H and Stephanie put Big Show in for a reason - he's massive. But Bryan insists his heart is bigger and he'll move onto Vengeance to become the new WWE Champion. But up next, the first semifinals matchup.

Baron Corbin vs. Emperor Roman Reigns in the WWE Championship Tournament of Opportunity
Corbin and Reigns, two heavyweights, exchange big shot after big shot this match and neither are staying down with a chance to advance to the WWE Championship match at Vengeance. Reigns sidesteps a clothesline by Corbin and Corbin wraps around the steel post to hit the clothesline this time around. Corbin, after a two, stands to his feet and gets ready for the End of Days. Corbin's attempt is blocked and is hit with an Emperor Punch! Reigns makes the cover but it's a kickout. The Emperor goes to the back corner and waits for Corbin to get up and charges for a Spear, but Reigns is thrown into the corner shoulder-first. Holding his shoulder, Reigns is turned around into an End of Days, but he pushes Corbin off once again and hits a second Emperor Punch! Reigns is excited, still holding his arm tight to his chest, goes for a Spear but he's caught in End of Days! Corbin hits it! Corbin rolls Reigns to his back and hooks the leg, getting the three.

Baron Corbin's music sounds as both men are on the mat for a while. Corbin slowly gets to his feet and the graphic pops on the screen that Baron Corbin will be going to Vengeance to challenge for the WWE Championship.

Charlotte is walking backstage and Nikki Cross bumps into her. Nikki Cross is super amped about being on Raw and being with Charlotte, calling them best friends. Charlotte slows Nikki's roll, making her aware that she is not her best friend. Charlotte says she can handle Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, and anyone else by herself, but politely tells Nikki to stay out of her way.

After the break, Emperor Roman Reigns is slowly walking to the locker room and The Emperor catches Cesaro chuckling in the corner. Reigns asks what's so funny and Cesaro swears it's nothing. Reigns keeps prying before Cesaro says he'll be kept off the card and has lost his chance to win the WWE Championship. Cesaro further states Reigns is the Shield's weak link. Reigns then slams Cesaro's head into the wall and Cesaro drops. Reigns bangs his head a few times and shouts down at Cesaro, saying The Emperor will be at Vengance, and Cesaro should meet him there too, because the Swiss Superman will be put in his place.

Randy Orton makes his way to the ring. Orton clarifies that the Hell in a Cell Match returns for the first time since 2015. Orton explains this match was put away because it's too violent - it's literally Hell. The last one, Undertaker and Brock Lesnar both walked away a bloody mess. The ring floor was exposed, they were dropped on their heads, and they took years off their careers and their lives. Orton says his goal at Vengeance is to end John Cena and that's what he will do. He will end this rivalry dating back to OVW, he will end CeNation, he will end the merchandise, he will end Cena's career, and Cena's life will be at stake. Orton reminds everyone he was the Legend Killer back in the day, putting away the likes of Mick Foley, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan. But at Vengeance, he ends the greatest legend of all - John Cena.

Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor talks to the WWE Tag Team Champions The Revival before their match up next. Balor asks to be on the same page, but The Revival laugh and shrug off Balor, saying he has nothing to worry about.

Finn Balor and The Revival vs. Neville, Carlito, and Chris Masters
Both units are working well with each other. Each time Balor gets tagged in, Neville finds a way to avoid Balor until Carlito and Masters have things under control. Towards the end, Carlito is struggling against Balor. Carlito goes for the tag and Masters makes the tag. Masters tries locking in the Masterlock, but gets hit with the Pele Kick. Balor uses the breath to reach for a tag to his corner, but The Revival hop off. The Revival go get their titles and watch as Balor's pulled up off the mat and into the Masterlock. Masters has it on and backs up to his corner where Carlito makes the tag. Masters throws Balor into Carlito for a Backstabber. Carlito obliges Neville's tag request and he goes up for the Red Arrow to win the match, pinning the Intercontinental Champion.

As Neville celebrates the win over Balor, The Revival are laughing at the top of the ramp until the Depths of Despair music hits. The Revival run off to the side, far away, as DoD walk to the ring for their match next against The Hardy Boyz as they continue to prove their worth for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Depths of Despair vs. The Hardy Boyz
After the break, The Revival decide to stick around on commentary to watch this match. The Revival dodge questions about if the Depths of Despair make it through the gauntlet each week, as they hype up The Hardy Boyz. Matt and Jeff Hardy are trying their best, but the power of the Depths of Despair are too much, especially with the month Matt and Jeff had in singles action. It's a Super Collider that puts them away like everyone else. Afterward, The Revival hype up next week's match for Akam and Rezar against a team who won their six-man tag tonight, Carlito and Chris Masters.

Charly Caruso interviews Big Show about his victory earlier tonight in the fatal-four way, qualifying for Braun Strowman's spot in the tournament. Show says critics can say whatever they want, but he's stayed in great shape and got the call yesterday of being in a match and he hopped a plane and won. Big Show then responds to Cena's comments earlier, saying he hasn't held the WWE Championship in sixteen years. If anything, he knows about not getting the opportunities everyone else gets. Bobby Lashley then interrupts, taking exception to being left out of tonight's fatal-four way, claiming he would be facing Daniel Bryan in the main event if he was included in that match. Big Show says he's not the guy to take it up with, and blames John Cena for Lashley being left out of the tournament in the first place.

Scarstruck comes to the ring and remember hearing Charlotte's claims earlier tonight that she doesn't need help, so they are challenging Charlotte to a handicap match right now.

Charlotte vs. Scarstruck
Charlotte is holding her own against Scarstruck before Billie and Peyton quit the tags and just gang up on Charlotte minutes into the match. Nikki Cross storms the ring and tackles Billie Kay, forcing the disqualification.

Nikki continues to cause chaos against Kay and Royce before Charlotte pulls Nikki off Peyton, and Peyton rolls out and they get out of dodge. Charlotte shouts at Nikki that she's not needed and to go back to NXT.

Tom Phillips, Tyson Kidd, and Corey Graves hype up next week's go-home episode of Raw. Nikki Cross will have her debut Raw match against Peyton Royce, that's just been confirmed. Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor must find a tag team partner to face The Revival next week. Also, Tyler Breeze has tweeted he will make his return to Raw next week, last being seen at WrestleMania in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. The commentary trio then reveal two huge matches made for Vengeance. After scoring a fall over the Intercontinental Champion tonight, Neville challenges Finn Balor in two weeks. Cesaro versus Emperor Roman Reigns has been made official as well for Vengeance. But now, we find out who will wrestle Baron Corbin at Vengeance for the vacant WWE Championship.

Big Show vs. Daniel Bryan in the WWE Championship Tournament of Opportunity
As expected, Big Show is giving Bryan a difficult time due to size and power. Big Show is not showing any signs of fatigue from tonight's fatal-four way, but Bryan is putting up a fight and refusing to go down. Big Show ends up catching Bryan off the top rope by the throat and hitting a chokeslam. Big Show signals that it's over and taunts the crowd before going for a cover and Bryan kicking out at ONE! Big Show's irate as Bryan gets up angry. Bryan chops the Giant down and performs his Yes! kicks before a swinging kick to the head to put Big Show on his back, the first time this match. Bryan then backs up, beginning the Yes chants again as he gears up for the Knee-Plus. Bryan charges and connects! Bryan hooks the leg and Big Show powers out. Bryan can't believe it, pulls back his hair, but he hits a second Knee-Plus. Rather than going for the pin, Bryan goes up top and hits a diving headbutt on Big Show. Bryan scoots to the corner, holding his head, before he rises up with the Big Show and hits a third Knee-Plus to take the Big Show out and advance!

As Daniel Bryan's music plays after just securing the match at Vengeance, he lays exhausted and worn out against the ropes. The graphic pops up that Daniel Bryan and Baron Corbin will be competing for the WWE Championship in two weeks at the Raw exclusive event. Bryan gets to his feet and his music stops in favor of Baron Corbin's. Corbin rides out on his motorcycle like he did earlier this evening. He circles around and parks it at the steps to go up and tower over Daniel Bryan. Bryan begins the Yes chants as the crowd seems to have picked their favorite as Raw comes to a close.

MAY 1 2018 ~ TUESDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!

SmackDown! starts with still images of Christian's victory this Sunday over Shinsuke Nakamura and Tom Phillips announces Christian's WWE Universal Championship celebration tonight. Also, what is the aftermath of the Matrons Championship match? But up first, Elias Samson is in the ring. Elias boasts about winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal last month, and then this Sunday at Backlash as well. Elias comments on his "winning streak" at big events putting him in line for gold. Elias says he was rudely interrupted at Backlash and has decided to give this another try. A few strums in, Kalisto interrupts!

Elias Samson vs. Kalisto
A rematch from this Sunday kicks off the show as Elias is again furious for being interrupted. Elias goes for the Drift Away, but takes too much time allowing for Kalisto to roll into a pinning cradle and get one over Elias!

Kalisto immediately pops out of the ring as Elias is stewing in the ring wondering how it happened. Kalisto can't believe it himself!

The former Matrons Champion Becky Lynch is seen arriving at the arena and slamming her car door. Lynch storms into the building and gets confronted by Sasha Banks. Sasha tries to explain, but Lynch blows past Banks who continues to follow her into the commercial break... After the break, Sasha follows a heated Becky Lynch into Stephanie McMahon's office. Becky is demanding answers and wants to know where Carmella is. Stephanie calmly responds, letting Becky know she signed a contract this weekend and has been invited to SmackDown tonight so she should be here to explain. Becky warns Stephanie that she'll break her arm, and it's on Stephanie's hands for signing her to SmackDown. Lynch storms out and Banks shrugs her shoulders at Stephanie. Stephanie assigns the job to keep peace tonight to Sasha Banks.

Emma vs. Naomi
As things heat up in this division, Emma and Naomi have a quick match to showcase their talents, ending in Naomi hitting the Rear View for the win.

Sami Zayn is backstage with Renee Young after the loss to Bray Wyatt at Backlash. Zayn says he doesn't make excuses but it's no secret Erick Rowan and Luke Harper played a role in his match. Next week, Zayn's challenging both Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to a handicap match.

Alberto Del Rio comes to the ring with the two men who assisted him Sunday in the Parking Lot Brawl against Blake. Del Rio boasts as the man who brought Blake and Murphy on, giving them a place on the roster and helping them succeed. Del Rio says he never got a thank you for making them the inaugural WWE Trios Champions, but they were greedy and self-absorbed. Del Rio recalls Blake being responsible for their losses time and time again, but when Del Rio showed tough love, Murphy turned his back on him at WrestleMania: the most embarrassing moment of his career. Del Rio says he chose to respond by embarrassing them, which is why Murphy's arm is in a sling as of last week, and why Blake has been in the hospital two days straight. Del Rio declares Cultural Revolt to be dead, and in addition, Blake and Murphy are dead to him. Instead, he now has brought on two young lions who are hungry and more appreciative. Their names? Santana and Ortiz. Del Rio insists they don't work for WWE, they work for him. And together, they'll be the next WWE Trios Champions. Then out come Shelton Benjamin's trio of Desmond Xavier and Tashard Wiggins. Wiggins lets it be known they're not backing down for anyone, claiming they'll be next set of champions. The New Day then respond by stating the fact they've ruled the division for nearly a year, with 4 weeks from now being the 365-day mark, and Kofi reminds Shelton Benjamin he's still owed a rematch. Benjamin says he won't defend the belt tonight, but he'd gladly like to see a tag team match. The New Day suggest throwing Del Rio's crew in there, but Del Rio holds his guys back for not being dressed for the occasion and bail.

The New Day w/Kofi Kingston vs. Desmond Xavier & Tashard Wiggins w/Shelton Benjamin
Benjamin coaches Desmond and Tashard on as Kofi claims more of a cheerleader role. Benjamin gets frustrated as The New Day pick up speed and his young guns have no answer. After Big E tosses Wiggins over the top rope and to the floor, Desmond gets caught up in Midnight Hour for The New Day to win.

As The New Day celebrate, Shelton Benjamin gets his guys up the ramp trying to mentor them. Kofi Kingston quickly grabs a microphone to let the reigning United States Champion know he'll be using his rematch clause next week on SmackDown!

After the commercial break, Cody Rhodes appears ready for his match up next against the self-proclaimed "Silver Medalist" Michael Bennett. Cody doesn't appear to be in a good mood at all... and it must be because of how his match with Kevin Owens ended at Backlash.

Cody Rhodes vs. Michael Bennett w/Maria
Rhodes wastes no motion against Michael Bennett who can't get much offense in before he suffers the fate of a Cross Rhodes.

Shelton Benjamin is still coaching his guys when Renee Young walks up. Renee Young asks about Shelton's title defense next week against Kofi Kingston, and if he's worried. Benjamin's offended by the question and reminds Renee that he came back to win championships, and he will not be giving this up anytime soon, but as soon as he retains the title next week they'll be back to the WWE Trios Championships.

Becky Lynch storms to the ring. Lynch demands to know the whereabouts of Carmella and tells her time is up. Sasha Banks comes out to tell Becky she isn't thinking straight and needs to calm down. Lynch has a fire underneath and reminds Banks she's a fiery redhead and cool heads won't prevail because she doesn't have what is hers. Matrons Champion Tessa Blanchard comes to the ramp, keeping a distance, to let Becky know this isn't hers anymore: it's "The Diamond" Tessa Blanchard's. Becky dares Blanchard to get in the ring, and as she holds down the rope for Blanchard, Sasha Banks is pushed into Lynch! It's Carmella! Carmella stomps away at Sasha while Blanchard runs down and attacks Becky Lynch. Both Lynch and Banks fight back, enough to get Blanchard and Carmella to retreat. Lynch and Banks stand their ground in the ring.

Renee Young tries to stop Cody Rhodes who is still reeling about Backlash, but he storms straight into Stephanie's office and Renee follows. Rhodes says he's had enough of Kevin Owens, so he's demanding a rematch next week against Kevin Owens. Stephanie takes a moment and says she understands Cody's frustration, and Cody isn't hearing it. Cody calls Kevin's actions cowardly and he wants Kevin Owens next week! Stephanie budges and gives it to him.

Tom Phillips and JBL mention next week's SmackDown being pretty big: Sami Zayn goes against the odds by taking on The Wyatt Family's Harper and Rowan. The United States Championship is on the line when Kofi Kingston challenges Shelton Benjamin in a rematch from a couple weeks back. And now, just confirmed, a Backlash rematch between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. But up next, the ring is set up for Christian's WWE Universal Championship celebration.

The party begins with Tomko following Christian to a ring. The red carpet is out and Christian has paparazzi taking pictures as he walks down the entrance way. Christian gets in the ring and acknowledges the champion. Tomko pops it and pours a couple glasses. Christian says he hasn't reached the top since 2011, but he proved that nobody can outwork him and he's back where he belongs. Christian applauds himself at 44 years old reaching the pinnacle of sports entertainment once more. Christian recalls just a month ago his career being threatened, and if a fluke had happened, the fans wouldn't have received such an amazing gift: him as WWE Universal Champion. The fans boo, of course, when Christian reminds everyone he ended Kurt Angle's career at WrestleMania. Christian ponders what's next, and he says he won't be a fighting champion, but he'll be focusing on Hollywood and scoring some lead roles to bring more eyes to WWE. Christian then raises a toast to himself, saying he could've done it without each and every member of the WWE Universe. Christian and Tomko drink, balloons and confetti begin falling from the sky. Christian jives to celebratory music in the background but turns around into a spinning heel kick! Tomko sees this and gets tripped into the turnbuckle post before rolling out of the ring. Nakamura sees Christian stirring and levels the new WWE Universal Champion with a Kinshasa! The party is ruined, thanks to the former champion. Nakamura kneels by Christian's side as SmackDown goes off the air.

MAY 7 2018 ~ MONDAY NIGHT RAW

Raw begins with a preview of tonight's Raw with Baron Corbin riding down to the ring on his motorcycle. Corbin gets in the ring and talks about his fast rise through the ranks of NXT and getting to the main roster last year, to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, and now he has a chance to become WWE Champion this Sunday at Vengeance. Daniel Bryan interrupts and tells Corbin he has a bright future, but this is the present day, and he's jumped through way too many hoops to get to the WWE Championship and he won't let Corbin stop him. Bryan relates this to jumping through the hoops in 2014 to get to the WWE Championship and creating the Miracle on Bourbon Street. Bryan tenses up and Corbin looks down at them before Stephanie McMahon appears at the ramp. Stephanie informs Corbin and Bryan they'll be in the main event against two men to be named later, and she wishes the two luck for working together. Corbin and Bryan point out what Stephanie's trying to do, but insist they'll coexist and beat whoever she puts in their way.

As Stephanie leaves, the commentary trio discuss what's on tap for tonight, including the main event tag team match just made. But out comes Tyler Breeze who is now returning to the ring for the first time since WrestleMania. Before Breeze could get a word out, Dean Ambrose's music hits and everyone POPS! Ambrose heads out and Breeze says it's his moment and Ambrose won't ruin it, Ambrose shrugs and pops Breeze in the face as Breeze rolls underneath the ropes. Breeze demands a match with Ambrose and of course, the Lunatic Fringe accepts.

Dean Ambrose vs. Tyler Breeze
Tyler Breeze is showing a couple new moves in his arsenal, including a split-legged corkscrew moonsault to the outside of the ring, and Breeze also nearly won the match after landing a Superkick that was heard around the arena. But Ambrose would brawl and as Breeze tries protecting his face, it's leading to his demise. Ambrose tries to hit Dirty Deeds, but Breeze counters into a second Beauty Shot attempt, which is ducked. Ambrose then threatens a punch, which has Breeze cover up, allowing Ambrose to kick Breeze in the gut and hitting Dirty Deeds to win this way.

In the parking lot, Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor arrives in a vehicle that Jordan Devlin also steps out of. Devlin walks toward the door with Balor before the security guard stops them, not letting Devlin inside. Balor has an issue with this, saying Devlin is his partner, but the guard won't budge.

After the commercial, Stephanie McMahon is in the parking lot trying to diffuse the situation. Stephanie won't let Devlin in as a non-contracted superstar for Raw. Stephanie piles on by saying since Balor failed to get a partner, she'll be choosing for him: and it's his opponent this Sunday, Neville.

Depths of Despair vs. Carlito & Chris Masters
In their quest through the tag team division, Akam and Rezar bulldoze through Carlito and Masters using the Super Collider to put them away.

As Corey Graves climbs in the ring to address the Depths of Despair going through the tag division and getting a title match at Vengeance against The Revival, the tag team champions come and have a correction. The Revival points out one team they haven't beaten: the 5-time WWE Tag Team Champion Usos. Therefore, The Revival will not be giving the Depths of Despair a title opportunity this Sunday, but head down for their match next.

Still to come: Finn Balor & Neville versus The Revival, Baron Corbin & Daniel Bryan team up, Nikki Cross debuts against Peyton Royce, and John Cena speaks out prior to his Hell in a Cell Match against Randy Orton.

Backstage, Nikki Cross runs up to Charlotte and admires her for a moment before asking Charlotte to be at ringside for her tonight. Charlotte declines, saying she's focused on regaining the Women's Championship and can't be focused on anything Nikki Cross is doing.

The Revival vs. Finn Balor & Neville
Balor is not happy due to teaming with Neville as opposed to his protege Jordan Devlin. Neville is waiting much of the time on the apron letting Balor handle business. The Revival aren't worried about cutting in the ring in half, using the whole ring to their advantage. Balor begins to gain steam and hits a Slingblade on both men, second to Wilder, and hits a corner dropkick into his team's corner. Balor and Neville staredown as Neville doesn't move. Balor climbs up the other side of the post and Dawson comes by and pulls Balor's leg. Neville steps away as Scott Dawson gets Wilder set up and Dawson launches Balor into a Shatter Machine! Wilder hooks the leg and Finn Balor is pinned.

As The Revival celebrate, Neville snatches Balor's Intercontinental Championship away and slides inside the ring as he stalks Balor. He then quickly drops the belt in front of Balor and locks in Rings of Saturn. Neville relentlessly doesn't let go and Balor's knocked unconscious before Neville gets up, sending a message for this Sunday at Vengeance.

Daniel Bryan is taping up for tonight, watching what's going down in the ring, when Baron Corbin walks by. Corbin confirms despite Stephanie's intentions, that will not be them tonight. Corbin says he wants each other at 100% for this Sunday, so he has his back if Bryan has his. Bryan agrees to watch out for Corbin tonight, but makes it clear, that it's a different ball game this Sunday.

John Cena comes to the ring, six nights away from the first Hell in a Cell Match since 2015 against his long-time rival Randy Orton. Cena recalls Orton's comments last week of him ending CeNation and the "legend of John Cena." Cena vehemently disagrees Orton is incapable of doing that. In the hypothetical scenario he loses, CeNation lives among the WWE Universe and Orton can't touch that. Cena reminds everyone this is the first trip to Hell two men have been since 2015, both men will be scathed, but only one man is coming out of Hell a winner - if one exists. Cena calls Orton the most spoiled brat of this generation and he was handed a WrestleMania main event this year, much like he'll be handed an ass whooping this Sunday. Cena tells Orton there is no escape from this Sunday, and there's no escape from Hell. Cena says their rivalry doesn't just close a chapter this Sunday, it closes a book, and he'll be sure to get the final say. RKO OUTTA NOWHERE! Cena's laid flat by Orton with an RKO from behind. Orton stands there and shouts at Cena the spoiled brat, the one handed everything on a silver platter and this Sunday, it all changes.

The Revival, the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions, are living it up backstage as they begin talking about partying after their work tonight and not having a title defense this Sunday... until Stephanie McMahon emerges. Stephanie breaks the news they'll be defending their titles this Sunday against the Depths of Despair. Scott Dawson jumps the gun, explaining that they agreed for the Depths of Despair to run the gauntlet and they haven't faced The Usos yet. Stephanie then mentions she's adding The Usos as a third team. The Revival lose their mind and Stephanie just walks off after they're defending the titles against two teams on Sunday.

Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella vs. Dana Brooke
Nikki Bella mocks Dana Brooke most of the match. Several times Brie gets shots in behind the official's back. This match ends with a Rack Attack on Dana with not much of a chance.

After the bell, Brie Bella gets in for a 2-on-1 assault on Dana Brooke. Then Paige's music hits and she storms the ring with Rubi Riot while the Bella Twins scatter. Paige and Riot were close to getting their hands on the Bella Twins six nights before their showdown this Sunday.

Stephanie McMahon is in her office talking to Daniel Bryan when Baron Corbin walks in. They ask why they're called to the office when Stephanie explains an added stipulation to tonight's match. If they lose, they'll both have preliminary matches this Sunday prior to their WWE Championship match. However, if they win tonight, it'll only be the person who doesn't get the fall. They look at each other and Bryan calls her bluff, saying they'll still work together. Bryan storms off as Stephanie holds Corbin back. Stephanie suggests Baron Corbin align himself with the "right people" before Sunday with a smirk.

Nikki Cross vs. Peyton Royce w/Billie Kay
Nikki Cross is showing a good hand against Royce but she's struggling with the outside distractions. However, Nikki Cross gets on a roll and hits Whiplash! Nikki hooks the leg and gets the cover.

As soon as Cross gets the win, she's assaulted by Billie Kay from behind. Billie Kay goes to town on Nikki Cross beating her down as Charlotte's music hits. Charlotte doesn't rush, but walks down to the ring after getting Scarstruck's attention. Charlotte gets in the ring and the tandem of Royce and Kay just exit as Charlotte stands in the ring. Nikki Cross comes to and hugs Charlotte but The Queen pushes her away. Charlotte says she can repay her by leaving her alone.

Breaking news comes to the announce table where they confirm that VINCENT KENNEDY McMAHON will be at Vengeance this Sunday! Mr. McMahon hasn't been seen in a long time and he'll be at the Raw exclusive PPV. The commentary trio then break down the card for Sunday:
"After both fail to reach the WWE Championship match from the Tournament of Opportunity, Cesaro and the Emperor Roman Reigns set to get back on a winning track." - Corey Graves

"The Bella Twins team up to take on newcomer Rubi Riot and WWE Women's Champion Paige in tag team action." - Tyson Kidd

"And speaking of tag team action, a match made tonight, is The Revival will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships against not only The Usos, but the Depths of Despair as well." - Michael Cole

"The Revival scored a big win tonight, but it was thanks to the dysfunction with two foes that'll clash for the Intercontinental Championship this Sunday. Finn Balor defends against Neville with a new-found attitude." - Tyson Kidd

"This Sunday, two men voluntarily go to Hell in a WrestleMania rematch. A long-standing feud of this generation comes to a close. It's Randy Orton... John Cena... Hell in a Cell!" - Michael Cole

"And can it get better than this? We're guaranteed to crown a new WWE Champion. Baron Corbin looks to win the WWE Championship for the first time after debuting a year ago, while Daniel Bryan looks to overcome The Authority once again and climb back to the top four years later." - Corey Graves

This is a nice transition to the main event tonight that added a stipulation. If they lose? Both men have to compete twice at Vengeance. If they win, then the one who doesn't score the fall will have a second match. Daniel Bryan, followed by Baron Corbin on his motorcycle, make their way to the ring... awaiting their opponents for tonight. It's Big Show and Kane! Two first-ballot Hall of Famers, and former World Tag Team Champions, are back for a tag team main event.

Baron Corbin & Daniel Bryan vs. Big Show & Kane
Corbin and Bryan are doing an excellent job working together against Big Show and Kane. Show and Kane are giving Bryan a hard time physically, while giving Corbin a hard time with experience, but Show and Kane are definitely moving slower than both competitors. Corbin and Bryan are looking to be in their prime, but at this particular moment, Bryan is struggling against Big Show. Bryan gets free and hits a missile dropkick off the top rope. Bryan begins to try making a tag but Baron Corbin is pulled off and suplexed! It's Brock Lesnar! Lesnar is back! The official calls for the bell.

As Baron Corbin is getting thrown around on the floor by The Beast Incarnate, Big Show and Kane are decimating Daniel Bryan inside the ring. Three of WWE's biggest superstars in history are laying waste to the top two contenders for the WWE Championship. The official is trying to get a handle on it, but is scared off by Kane and Big Show. The official runs up the ramp and meets Stephanie who asks for a decision. Stephanie announces that the official's decision was to grant Baron Corbin and Daniel Bryan the victory, but with the stipulation, that will not work. Therefore, she is restarting the match.

Once the match is restarted, Big Show and Kane hit a double chokeslam on Daniel Bryan and make the nonchalant cover to an array of boos. Stephanie stuck around long enough to announce that their matches this Sunday? Daniel Bryan faces off against Kane, and Baron Corbin will face off against Brock Lesnar. The path to the WWE Championship for either man got a lot harder tonight, as both are in terrible shape headed into Sunday where they each compete in two matches at Vengeance.

MAY 8 2018 ~ TUESDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!

SmackDown! begins with WWE Universal Champion Christian complaining about Shinsuke Nakamura's interruption of last week's championship celebration. Christian says it was uncalled for and disrespectful to not only the WWE Universal Champion, but also to a veteran like himself. Christian claims he's worked for everything he's won, including the right to say he retired Kurt Angle at WrestleMania. Shinsuke's music hit and Nakamura comes out to the stage to say simply "You... me... tonight... for the Universal title." Christian loses his mind (in a bad way) and the fans do too (in a good way) as a second title match is added to the dock tonight.

After a commercial break, Elias Samson comes to say he will right the wrong from last week by defeating Kalisto here tonight in their rubber match.

Elias Samson vs. Kalisto
With the score knotted one a piece, Elias Samson takes out plenty of aggression on Kalisto and tries to get Drift Away, but Kalisto counters into a small pin and nearly gets the win but Elias kicks out. Elias then charges at Kalisto, who dodges and sets up for Salida del Sol, when Elias counters with Drift Away and hits it! Elias makes a dominant cover and takes the win.

Christian storms into Stephanie's office complaining about facing Shinsuke Nakamura tonight for the title, but Stephanie says it's out of her hands because it's his entitled rematch. Christian makes the case Nakamura shouldn't be entitled to anything, and just because of his Japan reputation, it doesn't mean squat here. Stephanie reminds Christian he's the only 2-time WWE Universal Champion, and whether anyone likes it or not, he could win it a third tonight. Stephanie tries calming Christian down by ensuring him he's a quality champion and he can get Nakamura out of the way now so he doesn't have to deal with him later.

But up next is the first of (now) two title matches of the evening. Shelton Benjamin defends the United States Championship against Kofi Kingston, the title he took from Kingston on his WWE return. And as the match begins, the official sends both The New Day and Benjamin's crew to the back for a fair 1-on-1 match.

Shelton Benjamin(c) vs. Kofi Kingston for the United States Championship
Benjamin and Kingston are going at it in a way to show up the rest of the locker room, going back and forth with many close calls. Benjamin is getting frustrated not being able to put Kingston away, so he goes for the T-Bone Suplex, but Kingston counters with SOS - which nearly puts Benjamin away! Both men lay on the mat exhausted as Kingston is the first to his feet and gets ready for Trouble in Paradise before his leg is snatched from underneath and he's pulled into the ringpost. It's Ortiz and Santana... and the official calls for the bell.

Ortiz and Santana hop in the ring with two tables as Alberto Del Rio comes down and gets a table ready. Del Rio's duo hit Street Sweeper through one of the tables with Benjamin. They get a second table set up to do the same to Kofi Kingston before The New Day run down to save the day, along with Dezmond Xavier and Tashard Wiggins to check on Benjamin. Del Rio and his posse escape, doing enough damage for the day, as the title match has no outcome.

Kevin Owens has an interview spot with Renee Young who asks how Mr. Money in the Bank feels about his match against Cody Rhodes tonight. Owens shows the dent in his briefcase where he decked Cody in the head at Backlash, causing the DQ. Owens explains he doesn't need a victory over Cody, because he has the briefcase and will soon be what Cody's never been - a world champion. Owens claims Cody has had multiple chances, including at WrestleMania, but he's never got the job done, but as for him, KO has to make his own opportunities and has done so by claiming this briefcase, another thing that's eluded Cody. Kevin Owens says win or lose tonight, he'll still be a world champion, so he's just focused on embarrassing Cody and giving the late Dusty Rhodes the son he wish he had... and at this moment Cody Rhodes decks Kevin Owens from the side and brawls him to ringside where an official is rushed down there to separate the two and start the match officially.

Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens
During the commercial break, the stipulation was tweaked for no DQ and no count-out, but the official has still lost control as they're brawling around ringside and every object's being thrown. Towards the end, Owens has taken advantage of an emotionally charged Cody Rhodes and hit a Popup Powerbomb on the ring apron before rolling his lifeless body in the ring. Owens goes to the timekeeper area to grab his Money in the Bank briefcase as he gets back in the ring and stalks Cody. Cody pulls himself up to his feet, staggers, and turns around into a headshot... but he ducks and hits a neckbreaker! Cody then holds on and pulls Owens back up to his feet with him and hits a Cross Rhodes! Cody holds on and lifts Owens up, who's essentially deadweight now, and he kicks the briefcase in place to hit a second Cross Rhodes, and this time on Kevin's Money in the Bank briefcase! Cody rolls Owens over and to a huge roar from the crowd, gets the 3!

Cody's music hits and he lays exhausted in the ring next to an unconscious Kevin Owens. Cody gets help from the official to his feet after a moment and gets his hand raised as he lifts a shout through the arena. Cody has conquered Kevin Owens and gotten him back for all the comments made about him, his family, and Cody's shortcomings.

After the commercial break, the ring is clear and out comes the Matrons Champion Tessa Blanchard alongside Carmella. Blanchard introduces SmackDown's newest competitor and explains why they're on SmackDown. Blanchard claims she had no idea about Backlash, but afterward, she sat down with Carmella and realized they are two different people but see eye-to-eye on one thing: they're the best up-and-coming generation of women. Blanchard mentions the Four Horsewomen with Charlotte, Bayley, Lynch, and Banks, but they four can't compare to Blanchard and Carmella, along with the other NXT women now like Ember Moon. Blanchard identifies two common enemies: Banks and Lynch. Blanchard blames Banks for losing at WrestleMania and she just evened the odds. Becky Lynch's music hit and she comes to the ramp with Sasha Banks. Lynch lays down a tag team challenge for next week that's picked up by Carmella, who will make her official in-ring debut next week.

After commercial, Shelton Benjamin is chewing out Tashard Wiggins and Dezmond Xavier for not coming to the save earlier when he was put through a table. Benjamin demands more out of them and to watch his back, but Shelton gets quiet once Stephanie steps in. Stephanie McMahon informs Benjamin that next week, Wiggins and Xavier will be competing in a tag team match against Santana and Ortiz. After Stephanie walks off, Benjamin tells Wiggins and Xavier to get their heads in the game.

Sami Zayn vs. Erick Rowan & Luke Harper in a Handicap Match
After guiding Rowan and Harper to the ring, Bray Wyatt left them voluntarily, trusting them. Luke Harper ran much of the show and each time Zayn tries to get the advantage, he was beatdown by the other. Sami even got rolling and almost had this match won with a Helluva Kick on Rowan, but he's pushed aside by Harper in a pounce-like maneuver. Harper then waited and hits a Discus Clothesline on Zayn to make the cover.

Michael Bennett is prancing around backstage with his wife Maria about his runner-up spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal until he runs into Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler says he prides himself on being the best, not second-best. Ziggler tells Bennett that he needs to get his head straight if he's gonna make it in WWE, and if not, the door is that way. Bennett laughed at Ziggler, saying his second place finish means he lasted longer than Ziggler that Battle Royal. Ziggler says touché and challenges Bennett to a match next week on SmackDown, and saying in a 1-on-1 match, Bennett can finish second again.

Tom Phillips and JBL bring up a stacked show next week for SmackDown. Dolph Ziggler versus Michael Bennett to see who finishes "first place" in that match, also Carmella's debut in tag action with the newly crowned Matrons Champion Tessa Blanchard against Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks. And in addition to Carmella's in-ring debut, Ortiz and Santana compete in their first WWE match against Tashard Wiggins and Dezmond Xavier. But up next is the WWE Universal Championship rematch from Backlash.

Christian(c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Universal Championship
Christian is by himself with Tomko not at the arena tonight, and Nakamura is on a mission to regain his title and become the only 3-time WWE Universal Champion. Christian and Nakamura are going back and forth, but Nakamura seems to have an edge against the champion. Nakamura gets on a hot streak before going for a Kinshasa and connecting! Christian rolls outside the ring before Nakamura can make the cover. Nakamura then goes to pick Christian off the floor to get him back inside when he's blindsided... and it's Tomko! We were told he wasn't here tonight! The official calls for the bell.

Two title matches tonight, and both end this way. Tomko throws Nakamura into the steel steps and stomps away at him. Christian crawls over and gets his title and goes back inside the ring. Christian gets on Tomko's shoulders, celebrating a retention via no contest, as SmackDown goes off the air with an arrogant WWE Universal Champion.
