To be fair to to the guy Dana is eviscerating, yeah both companies would not mind doubling their fanbases from dual-fandom.
But Dana's right while there are similarities in what the companies do from a visual standpoint (people in a ring/cage and fight each other) the fanbases are totally different with relatively minimal crossover.
The crossover for wrestling and MMA basically dissipates anytime wrestling is good again and comes back if wrestling starts getting shitty lol MMA is more popular than its ever been (or at least UFC) but you heard more about it in the wrestling spheres in like 2006 when Ultinate Fighter was just getting big
So that's why Brock Lesnar is on their top 10 PPV movers list?
Or Ronda Rousey being WWE's top female star when she debuted?
