Idk WWE would have to go through ALL of TNA's debt to clear the tapings (what WWE ultimately wants) which would probably require a few years to sort out and that's something they probably wouldn't to do considering that TNA's a low priority acquisition in their eyes.
They actually wouldn't. I am not sure I understand completely what you are saying, but it basically is like this:
If WWE only wants the tape library and the trademarks, they wouldn't have to touch the debt at all. That debt would be held basically by Dixie Carter. They could buy these things debt free. WWE could have purchased the tape library already and TNA may be using some of that money to put on the PPV. If WWE buys the tape library, Dixie Carter would still be holding the actual company and the debt.
WWE wouldn't have to pay the debt for the PPV or the TV tapings to go through. The majority of the debt is to Billy Corgan and Aroluxe. It would likely be in both of their best interests for BFG and the TV tapings to take place. If WWE is only buying the tape library
Even if WWE does buy the entire company and pay off the debts, lets keep in mind that TNA's debts are only substantial for TNA. WWE has much deeper pockets and resources and they could easily pay off TNA's debts.
However, I don't think they are going to. From what I was reading on Forbes, TNA needed $600,000 to go ahead with BFG and their TV tapings. It is quite possible that WWE is going to buy the tape library and also put up the money for TNA to hold their major PPV and TV tapings so if the company DOES fold, they can fold on a good note. Folding this way could be beneficial for WWE because all of the buzz around it could increase ratings for their own shows as well as help them with Network sales by letting people know that TNA's shows will end up on the network eventually.
