Reigns is a character babyface in the mold of Hogan, Rock, Cena....as opposed to a character heel, a la Flair, Piper, Austin, Punk.

The "right thing" was to help the face (Cena) defeat the heel (Rollins) and his minions (Show, J&J), which Roman did.

And....burying? Losing a match is not a burial. I guess expecting people to understand that is too much (except Snow, of course.....:eek:tunga:)

Okay first Reigns is nothing like those guys. He had potential but you ate putting the cart way before the horse.

The right thing is to help the face win? That's wrestling logic for ten year olds.

The burial comment was a general statement about Cena, not a specific comment about Rollins, so don't try to spin my comment that direction.

In most Cena "burials", the story coming out is how ineffective the other guy was vs Cena. After this the main talking point was Reigns.

Plus Rollins has a new feud with Reigns/Orton coming up, so he'll be in another high-profile spot before a potential loss - ONE loss, hopefully - gets wiped out by the WHC win.

Who let the 2011 TNA writing crew in the building? Dammit

My burial comment was not about this match, it was a general statement about Cena.

Coming off his epic failure of a performance on NXT Takeover: Fatal 4 Way, here's another Roman Reigns promo to be the worst part of this show, too! :yay:

Please stop overscripting promos

If this match goes less than a minute it could be one of the best matches of the show.

Just have Ryback beat the shit out of Kane with a chair and be done with it

Okay first Reigns is nothing like those guys. He had potential but you ate putting the cart way before the horse.

Compare Reigns to Rocky, Hogan, Cena at the same level of development. Yes, it's a potential thing, but at this point, that's where we are with Reigns.

The right thing is to help the face win? That's wrestling logic for ten year olds.

No. That's called "story structure". Good guys help good guys. Bad guys help bad guys when it suits them, then stab them in the back when it doesn't. And ten year olds? Dude. Tolkien, Lucas, King, Martin, and a whole host of other writers much better than you get my point. I promise.

The burial comment was a general statement about Cena, not a specific comment about Rollins, so don't try to spin my comment that direction.

Then you should have posted it as a general comment, not connected to a post about the match that just occurred. Clarity is your friend.

I question this to an extent, since to the crowds Cena is hardly as well-respected as Han Solo, Gandalf, Batman, etc. Not sure if running Reigns out to save Cena is the best idea from a reaction standpoint.

If he saved Ambrose the argument would be much different lol

That's a fair point.

Except that when Hogan was Champ in the '80's, Vince became convinced that kids were the best market and, thus, he has booked his product (or written it...sports entertainment, you know) with an eye toward the kid market. To the kids, Cena's a superhero, thus Reigns is helping the superhero. Thus Reigns = "good"

Remember: in the 80's, WWE played to kids; in the '90's, it was teens; in the '00's, it was young adults.

Now, we're back to kids.

So when do we start seeing ring post matches? Or maybe exposed turnbuckle matches?
