Well Bischoff only worked in PG right? WCW was never TV 14

Missed the joke I guess. Rating (PG/TV-14) vs Ratings (how many people watch the show or whatever) is what I was getting at. Bischoff was just the smiley I used.

Oh I got it. It just wasn't funny so I no sold it.

On that topic: Moving to TV14 will not mean higher ratings. There is no guarantee of that.

Back on track: But allowing the use of TV-14 topics could open up how far they could go in storylines - which, if done correctly, could attract more fans (or fans that stopped watching because of the PG-ness). Thats how I see it anyway.

Considering how well they're doing with the PG rating, I don't really trust TV-14 by itself is going to cause a very noticeable improvement in their booking. You said it yourself, this "if done correctly" doesn't normally end well when it's WWE :dawg:

Saw this on Reddit and someone noticed the tweet it came from was "davemeltzerW0N" instead of "davemeltzerWON". So this isn't even REAL Meltzer crap, but it's a good discussion.

Just Kevin nailed this (and he's the biggest AE mark I know). The Attitude Era worked for the era it was in. It was the era of taboo TV, and any publicity wound up being good publicity (which is still pretty much true, but moreso back then). For instance, many of the Attitude Era's ideas came from ECW, which was the perfect product to come around to suit the fans at the current time. WWE needs to find a TV show that's around nowadays that it can emulate that will give them a nice sense of what will please wrestling fans today... why hello, Lucha Underground.

I've been had then! I figured it was bunk to begin with, but still a good discussion as always.

booking and storylines.....ultimately this is what WWE needs to focus on...sure, id love if they could swear and get a little more vulgar as that always adds to the realism of a feud...but, that's not really the "core" issue if you ask me.

I don't want to ruin this thread or whatnot, but inquisitor isn't really much of a reliable source. Plus, this news report comes out nearly every year.

Also, for what Stop said, even though it wouldn't be higher ratings or whatnot, there's a chance it'd be more entertaining.
