It has been helped by the strong lead in from the Kardashians and RAW but it is holding up better than I thought. If they can keep it over the 1 million mark WWE and E! should be happy. I don't see the matches drawing viewers, people are watching this for the staged cat fights.

Smackdown rating ended up being a 1.92 thanks to RVD showing up. If only WWE made Smackdown more of an equal to RAW than it currently is, they could probably push RAW in the ratings.

SD airs on Fridays remember, and not everyone will want to stay in on a Friday night and watch SD. Punk's on SD again this week, and Lesnar is on a SD either before or just after Summerslam. So it seems as if WWE are trying to pull out all the stops to improve the SD rating.

True Friday's aren't the best night, would be good if they had made the move back to Thursday's years ago, but I still think that they can do better than they have been. It is presented as the clear B show which does hurt it's standing, it isn't a must see show.

I think that Lesnar is appearing on the go home Smackdown for Summerslam. It is a stacked show with Lesnar, RVD, HHH and Vince all scheduled to appear.

Smackdown going back to Thursdays would kill TNA.

Very much so, spike and TNA would retreat to Fridays, which isn't that bad of an idea since they already have low expectations and could present an old school espn Friday night fights like thing with bellator.

Thursday is the second most watched night of TV in the states behind Monday, so it would be huge for SD to move back. That said getting the ratings sd gets for SyFy every Friday is huge. Even the CW found that out when smallville and supernatural failed in those spots and were moved.

They also pull in good ratings of wednesday for ion which is a day that usually sees less homes watching than Tuesdays.

Yeah and is been placed On Demand. Its already off to a much more solid ground than the failed NXT divas season. I think they taped matches at some point iirc so it will be interesting to see how they add that component in, and if the showis still well perceived if they do

This has nothing to do with the thread, but I loved that women nXt, prol my fave rasslin show ever.

Michael Cole and CM Punk were GOLD on commentary.

The women's NXT was amazing.

Cole was pure gold during the whole thing. Talking to his mother during a match, falling a sleep during another, the gong, his "stop the pain" sign, so much good stuff.

Punk was pretty great on it as well. "Vintage Maxine!"

That nXt bitches edition was trainwreck worthy television, very enjoyable if you know inside terms, very confusing if you are not part of the net boards or read Meltzer type sites.

Like 2000 WCW, good to look back on if you want to laugh your ass off, probably wasn't as enjoyable if you were watching at the time though.

As noted earlier, Friday's WWE SmackDown scored a 1.99 cable TV rating, up from the previous week's 1.92 rating. The episode averaged 2.746 million viewers, up 4% from the previous week.

- WWE's Total Divas episode 2 scored 47,023 in social media activity last night, down 28% compared to the series premiere last week. Total Divas ranked #10 overall Sunday night.

Nice rating for SD. Good increase. Quite a low social media score for Total Divas. I'm real interested in what the viewer number will be for the show. I assume it should be out soon.

Another good rise for Smackdown, nice to see it getting around the 2.0 mark yet again. They have had some strong matches on there lately so hopefully that continues going forward, it is also nice seeing some different names on the show like Punk and RVD.

What is a social media score? Do they add up the number of tweets or something?

The 8/4 edition of Total Divas did 1,526,000 viewers, well up from last week's number.

Very good news for WWE.

WWE Raw on Monday, August 5 scored a 2.96 rating, improving one-tenth of a rating on last week's taped Raw.

The rating put Raw in the middle of the last five weeks of shows:

July 8 - 3.08 rating
July 15 - 3.04 rating
July 22 - 2.94 rating
July 29 - 2.87 rating
Aug. 5 - 2.96 rating

- Raw averaged 4.178 million viewers, up 11 percent from last week's taped show. It was the most viewers since May 20.

Hourly Break Down: 3.973 million first hour viewers, a jump to 4.381 million viewers (most second hour viewers since April), and a decline to 4.182 million third hour viewers.

- On cable TV Monday night, Raw ranked #2 in overall viewers behind "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," but ranked #1 in key male demos.

Raw's overall rating increase was made possible by big jumps in all key male demos compared to last week's show. Most notably, males 18-34 & 12-34 scored four-week highs.

I wonder if they can keep this kind of audience for the last show before Summerslam next week.

I am amazed that Total Divas actually managed to increase it's viewership and that it is drawing more than 1.5 million viewers. How many episodes are they running of it?
