Primo & Epico successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Titles in a pre-WrestleMania Triple Threat Match against The Usos and Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd, bringing their reign past 80 days.

With so many possibilities in the WWE Tag Team division, who will be the next wave of challengers? WWE.com looks toward the horizon and presents a list of possible tag team combinations - some conceivable and some unusual - that could depose the current champions.

9. Cody Rhodes & Dolph Ziggler
8. Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel
7. May-Ry (Mason Ryan) & A-Ry (Alex Riley)
6. Jack Swagger & Jinder Mahal
5. David Otunga & The Miz
4. Daniel Bryan & Christian
3. R-Truth & Little Jimmy
2. Santino Marella & Brodus Clay
1. CM Punk & Chris Jericho

WWE.com: Tag Team challengers?

Found this article on WWE.com before, link is in the post, and I thought that it was interesting that they were highlighting the tag team division on the website. I know that it is only a fluff piece but still they are giving some time of day to the titles which is good.

Some logical combinations and then some from out of left field. What do you think of the teams suggested? Do you have any better suggestions for new teams?

Santino & Brodus I wouldn't mind once Santino drops the belt to someone like Otunga or someone deserving.

I'd personally turn Hawkins & Reks face and get them to contend... What ever happened to Trent Baretta?

A Christian Daniel Bryan tag team would be the craziest thing ever. That would be pure gold.

Pretty much all of those would be awesome except for Swagger/Mahal.

And how would R-Truth & Little Jimmy work?

Except Bryan would carry the promos. Christian mic work is pretty bad, I've heard at tapings that they've sometimes had to re-do certain parts of promos numerous times.

Looking at the number one team on the list, I have a sad feeling that the WWE may decide to put the belts on those two in an attempt to further their feud over the WWE Championship.

I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of these teams. Ziggler and Rhodes would be pretty awesome, even though it would hold both back in their run to the main event.

Mason Ryan and Alex Riley would be good just cause it gives them both something to do. It's remarkable that at one time or another they both were on TV regularly and now ones a jobber and the other has disappeared(FCW maybe?)

Santino and Brodus, for sure, makes sense! Love them together. (BTW...is he not deserving of the US title? I think so. Although he should lose it for the tag team)
Miz and Otunga would SO make Otunga. He's really coming along playing TEAM JOHNNY's side kick!

And what the hell's wrong with Ziggler and Swagger? WHy split them up? HELL, WWE is splitting up tag teams before they become tag teams? lol

That is ridiculous. Christian is solid on the mic, not one of the greatest but he's damn good. Wherever you heard that isn't valid. Both guys would be brilliant.

I think Christian isn't great on the mic as a face, but still better than most. But when Christian is a heel, I can listen to him all day long.

Swagger/Mahal would only be good for a short while before Swagger became the face and feuded with Mahal.

I think Santino and Brodus would be a fun tag team. Also read the article, they say something about R-Truth & Little Jimmy. Makes you wonder.

Reks/Hawkins are a good team, get those boys up there!

I'd dig Rhodes and Ziggler but only if the division is made worthy again, these two would be a great pairing with their cocky attitudes and I'm sure they'd produce good work.

Read this the other day and thought it was a pathetic attempt at an article as the vast majority of them sucked which is a surprise really as alot of the WWE articles are usually quite good.
